I would go with a 7'mXF spinning rod with 20lb braid and a 7'mhF casting rod with 40lb braid

Do I know anything about the lake and/or time of year?, hell 4 lures fit in a 3600.

I would say:

Jig (color depending on clarity of water)

Sebile Magic Swimmer (Bluegill pattern)

Senko style worm

Spinnerbait (most likely white/chartruse unless really dirty water)

And if I could sneak a 5th without anyone seeing it would be a chatterbait.

Young Gun, your question is a simple one. The answers will be all over the board.

There are six seasons for bass fishing. Each season has attractive baits based on water temperature, color, current and bass biology.

If you take the six seasons and ask which baits are favored in each of the six I am sure you will receive a better response.

Of course, water clarity, water temperature, moon phases, forage in the body of water, structure, cover, current, wind, cloudy or bluebird skies and techniques can have a cumulative impact on the baits selected for each of the six seasons.

I always have a jig and pig, a crankbait along with plastics ready to roll. The trick is to know which baits and colors will work under what conditions and with what techniques.

Confidence. You take the baits you have confidence although they mean nothing to the bass. It is how you fish them that makes the difference.

You did not limit terminal tackle, I would have shakey heads and drop shot + t rig stuff. I now can remove the fluke trailer drop shot it, cut the worm for shakey heads, or drop shot the trick worm, u can even put the rage craw on the right shakey head and it'll stay in the defensive position, can t-rig the craw or put enough weight on it to punch. You can limit lures and with the right terminal tackle still have an arsenal of ways to fish.

Hmmm, probably a shallow water crank bait, Senko worms, some kind of jig and a top water, either something like a Zara Spook or spinner bait.

Kind of hard to answer without knowing what time of the year and day.

As for type of rods...probably a crankbait rod and a worm/jig rod.

4 ?...........I don't use that many now. I carry a pack of flukes and a couple of extra hooks inside the pouch, and a beat up xrap. Med spin rod with 15# braid, pflueger supreme 35.

Inshore fishing I carry a bucktail, spoon, hard jerkbait and DOA flukes, covers the bases pretty well. Usually 4000 reel on a 10/20 rod with 20# braid.

That's an easy one for me, because I typically only take 2-3 presentations anyway fishing from a kayak. My choices would be:

1. 5" soft plastics with 1/8 and 1/4 oz draggin heads.

2. Skirted Jigs - football and swim heads in black/blue, green/blue and brown/orange. I can use the 5" soft plastic as a trailer and trim as needed.

3. Lipless cranks - shad, blugill, perch and red craw colors

4. Stanley Ribbits - black, watermelon pearl, brown/orange

For rods, I would carry both my Shimano Clarus 6'6" MH F casting rod paired with my Revo Inshore - spooled with 30 lb. braid and a 15lb. flouro leader, and the other would be my Shimano Clarus 7'2" MXF spinning rod paired with my Stradic 3000FJ spooled with 30lb. braid and a 15lb flouro leader.

These two rods are almost always with me (plus my 6'8" MXF AVID and Revo S but you said only two), so these two allow me to cover every presentation that i prefer, since a kayak affords me the opportunity to get into some pretty nasty cover and still get on fish without carrying extra heavy gear. To be perfecftly honest, this is actually my typical approach when I fish Sandy River here in VA and one I have had tremendous amounts of success on.

I see most people have either flukes or an jig.. Both are pretty versatile baits.. Both of which I haven't used much in my time of fishing.. I'm surprised no one said any buzzbaits, or an go to spinnerbait

I mentioned my go to spinner, I have allot of confidence in it. Assassinator Pro Clacker. Google it and buy the white chartreuse with one gold and one chrome blade, its awesome.

As far as the 2 rods Id bring one spinning rod with 8lb test mono

and a baitcaster spooled with 14lb flouro.

And if i could sneak one more in it would be a big 1 ounce Rooster Tail. Silver body and silver blade. Anything that swims will bite those. Ive caught bass, cats, carp, bluegill, crappie, musky, pike and pickeral.

I guess everyone's 4 lures are more based on their confidence with them. I personally bring 60 baits on every trip, and probably only throw 4. Not because I don't think my others can catch fish, I just gave more confidence in these..

Mepps #3 spinner with yellow bucktail and red/gold blade

Yum F2 5 inch straight tail worms in green/red flake

You'll probably notice I don't list spinnerbaits or jigs.. Probably due to my lack of time using them and not as many hours logged and fish boated with my other 4 lures,

1 oz rooster tail?! How long is that? I've thrown Mepps #5 's ad caught bluegill to my friend getting an 40inch musky on it.
