Double Willow Leaf/Gold
Natural Shiner
I have no preference really in blade color, I know certain ones are recommended for certain conditions, but I have not found any consistency to that sort of thing...yet. But I do like metallic blades on sunny days, and painted blades on overcast days.
Regarding skirts...
I like to play with a wide variety of skirt colors and patterns, but so far, any kind of white w/glitter, and any kind of smoke-based pattern have been good.
Chart./white skirt, double #4 willow leaf blades in gold. 3/8 oz.
Anyone use hammered blades or like them better then a normal blade?
White or yellow on cloudy days. Black at sunset or darkness, and bluegill every other time...
Blades switch up a lot, but I try to use a spinner with both willow and colorado , and both brass and silver, except for my night time then I just want thumpers, and black.
War eagle mouse color and one gold and nickle blade.
Shadish (Like the one in my avatar) with double nickel willows.

My spinnerbait combinations that works is,
Slightly stained to clear water.
Blue Glimmer skirt, gold Indiana blades, 1/4oz.
Stained to muddy water.
Hot chartruese skirt, gold Indiana blades, 1/4oz.
Since our very own Glenn May here walked me through this setup and it's been working. I drowned many spinnerbaits till I figured it out. I need to try other spinnerbait setups next. I kind of stay with what works.
chart/white skirt silver willow blades
Wicked RS in shad color (it has an olympic blade) thats my favorite.
A single willow leaf blade , gold and bluegill imitating skirt .
Chart/white with hammered gold blades. Or a combo of gold/nickel. Always hammered if I can find them.
War Eagle Mouse with Colorado/Indiana tandem blades, silver Colorado with a gold Indiana.
Are spinnerbaits good for fishing in the morning, like the first bait to throw??

Yes, they can be good at any time of day.

Hammered blades best in Indiana and Colorado blades to aid in more vibration. Also sometimes leads to a heavier cupping to those blades also adding to the vibration. In those two blade types I prefer them more especially in stained water. Clear water I would prefer smooth and metallic willow blades.
My favorite Night Operations Bait ~

I stick with what works. white/chartruese, double willow. one gold blade/one silver.
Now for the trailer I use a Mister Twister 4" split double tail grub. White for the white skirt and chartruese for the hot chartruese skirt. Don't forget the trailer hook.
The Mann's classic spinnerbaits with the trailer setup is my hot shore setup once you find where the bass are.
Chartreuse willow
White willow (smaller)
Chartreuse head and skirt with a pinch of green pumpkin in the top of the skirt. Smallmouth cannot resist them.

Rarely on willow blades, but I do like them on a Colorado when I feel I need to attract more attention with more flash, or if I want the bait to ride a little higher or fall a little slower.
War Eagle Mouse Colored in either 1/2 ounce or 3/8. Best crappie imitator I've ever seen in spinnerbait form. I've caught so many 4-5 pound fish on this color it's crazy.
Chartreuse White, Gold and Chrome Willow Leaf.
3/8oz or 1/2oz depending.
My favorite to date is the Terminator Ti.
I want to give the Molix a try.
White and more white.
White skirt with white blades, or chart/white skirt with nickel blades. I use thiose two colors the most.
White/Chartreuse, Silver smaller/Gold Larger... Double Willow and Colorado/Indiana.
