Forever.

You don't need to respool, just add line as needed.

80 yards of good line is plenty, the rest is just

backing that will never be used.

Yep. Good line is expensive these days. No need wasting it buried on a spool that will never see use. Go out, purchase some cheap line if you don't have some already and use the top 70-80 yds for your Yozuri.

It's good stuff. I've been using it this year for the first time on RW's advice and have been very happy.

Now I haven't used the extra soft version, but I hate the regular version. I don't understand why you guys like it. The only thing I can think of is the soft version is a thousand times better or something, because the regular is the worst line I've ever used.

I like it for the low memory, low stretch, small diameter and incredible strength to diameter ratio. Sensitive, as invisible as I need. Sinks faster than mono.

Relatively speaking (compared to decent flouro) cheap.

I've never used ultra soft. In fact I've only used 8lb, and just bought a 1/4lb spool of 6lb. The stuff is so strong 8lb is all I've needed on most applications I use. In fact I'm going to use their 8lb on my crankbait rods.

I don't understand the issue, but lots of guys have

tried Yo-Zuri and don't like it, you're not alone.

For me, it's THE BOMB!

I spool my reels with 100% new line as I always check my line and cut off the damage portion so at the end of the day some of my reels have very little line left.

Yo-Zuri Ultra Soft is excellent line for spinning rigs.

I've never used the ultra soft line, I only have experience with the regular and I love it. The price is good too. I use 6 or 8 lbs test on my spinning reels and 10 lbs on a curado 100D for small/shallow crankbaits. It is a great product.

I use the ultrasoft on ALL my reels, spinning and baitcasters..like RW and others, just add 75-80 yards when needed...BTWm I found another tackle shop that stock all of Yo Zuri's line...

I ordered a 1/4lb spool from fish307.com with great success. I only ordered that one spool as I wanted to try the company out as much as buy line. Several e-mail updates, shipped the same day I ordered (ordered early afternoon) and was received a few days later.

Less than $15 including shipping for a 1/4lb spool seemed like a good deal to me. Maybe more savings could be had on shipping ordering more than one item.

A local walmart used to sell the 600yd spools for $8. But they quit carrying it. :'(

Since nobody local carries it it's necessary to order and pay shipping.

1/4lb spool=600yds. At least in this case.

I'm not as big of a fan on the regular as I am on the ultra soft. I only use the reg on BC's and honestly though haven't given it a great try. I tend to think braid gives far less backlash than mono or Yozuri.

I use the Ultra on my spinning and it gets much less line twist than mono IMO.

Forget backing as Ultra is dirt cheap in my opinion. And this being from a frugal Freedy no less.

I also like the breaking strength.

Man y'all had me thinking this was going to be expensive until about 1/2 way down through here I read some of the prices paid. That's not too much for me so I'm just going to spool up completely from the core out. I know it's probably needlessly wasteful, it's just the way I am. I'd hate the knot being in there, and also seeing the different line on there after a cast the lower the line on the spool got. I've already made up my mind that's the next line I'm trying based on reading so much here about it. Yo-zuri sounds like it is da bomb based on all I heard you guys saying.

I have been using it for 2 seasons now. I bought a 1/4 lbs spool of the 6lb test and I love it. I use it mostly for leaders but I had two spinning outfits lined up with it. Very low memory, super, super strong and invisible.

I bought 12# Regular in a bigger spool for $6.95. And while it isn't the limpest line, the line is flat out solid. From bass to salmon, the line kicks phanny on baitcasters at this strength.

I have to hand it to RW for the recommendation and thank him too.

I would like to try the US version some day, when it is available locally.

im using ultra-soft on all of my spinning reels. marinated in kvd line conditioner.

I start to use that line thanks to RW recomendation, the first day with that I made some Backlash, after that I adjust my reel brake and the second day the clinch knot slip, I start to wet the line for tie the knot and problem solved, is fantastic line. I start to use 15# in my bait casters, and now I'm going down size to 12#.

See that's the problem IMHO it's high in stretch, has a ton of memory, and 10x worse then flurocarbon when cinching a knot. A Palomar knot seemed to improve that problem but I prefer the uni knot. I'd seriously love to be able to fish such a low cost line. The problem it isn't very low cast when you count all the lures I've lost with it. So I only use it as backing and as emergency line.

I use braid, fluoro, regular mono, and Yo-Zuri ultrasoft, and I also use the ultrasoft on one baitcaster as well as on my spinning rods. I don't know why more people don't try it instead of regular Yo-Zuri on baitcasters. Other than some memory, I see no faults with the line, and the memory is something that decreases after you wet the line again.

I'm starting to realize more and more that you need to just USE a fishing line to see if you will like it.

I've seen great reviews on line I think is JUNK, and I've seen what is generally considered JUNK do well (my brother switched to nothing but Viscous flourocarbon with no problems at all)

And then there is this line. Some say junk. Others say it's great.

I don't understand how their can be that much of a variance but there is.

I experiment with lots of different lines. My last

"failure" was #6 Seaguar AbrazX 100%. Currently

have two baitcasters spooled up with PP 50/12

(I still hate braid!).

So, try Yo-Zuri for yourself and see if you like the

line. The cost is nominal and you'll know right away

if this is right for you.

i have regular on most of my reels and i have no plans of changing lines anytime soon. its everything i want my line to be. 12 and 15 on baitcasters... 6 and 8 on the spinning rigs.

i have braid on my carolina rod and salt water rods... and i have 100% berkley flouro on my t-rig rod as an experiment. i like it too. but not so much compared to the price difference.
