Tackle Warehouse and Cabelas have Chronarchs on sale now! New series coming at the classic maybe? Wonder if it will have the features of the Curado I. I'm sure it will have X-ship and the SVS system! Any thoughts?

No one is saying a replacement is coming. They did say there are a couple of new things that will be introduced at the classic. Lots of rumors, one of them is there will be a new Citica. It's only a week away!
I know, I'm just guessing, the Chronarch is such a popular series I'm sure it will return. On 2/13/2015 at 10:33 PM, lmbfisherman said:No one is saying a replacement is coming. The Chronarch is still available and not going anywhere, in the form of the Chronarch CI4. Shimano won't release another sub $260 Chronarch again.

What he said.
If you are referring to the 200E, they are retiring that frame and body, at least in the USDM. At the classic they are releasing the Zodias rods, Aldebaran 50, and jackall gantarel, who knows what else. If there was a new citica coming out, I'm sure it would have been leaked by now.
So is it safe to assume that the Chronarch 50e
models are going to stay?

Probably going to stay until Curado 50I comes out (which should).

No source on when or whether it will come out, but its been the natural progression for the Shimano line ups. The 50 size is extremely popular in US and Japan, so no reason they won't make one for 200 dollar ish range.

Well, the Chronarch CI4+ I own palms pretty much the same as a size 50 reel. The Chronarch has a slightly longer frame. I also remember a Shimano rep on another board stating their probably won't be one either for the near future. Just thought you knew something that disputed that.

Nope. It feels like Shimano is pretty content with the 50E, since they are releasing different versions of it (Brenious). They will eventually pull the trigger some where down the line though.
then why are most of the models gone on tackle warehouse. On 2/13/2015 at 10:56 PM, Jrob78 said:The Chronarch is still available and not going anywhere, in the form of the Chronarch CI4. Shimano won't release another sub $260 Chronarch again.

Bootytrain answered the 200 frames are being retired. The 50E is staying sounds like.
that's what I thought, but the guy I quoted said they aren't going anywhere..On 2/14/2015 at 12:36 AM, lmbfisherman said:Bootytrain answered the 200 frames are being retired. The 50E is staying sounds like.

They aren't gone, the Chronarch Ci4 is what the Chronarch will be from now on (and what it should have been from the beginning.) The E series reels are gone (unless they keep the 50's around until they release a new 50 size reel.)

I'm referring to the Ci4, not the E series.
The 50 frames will most likely be around for another year before the replace it with an aluminum version of the new Aldebaran frame and body.
Maybe they'll replace the core with e's and paint them black. Cornarch??
