Hello forum members, I come in peace with a question to ask your expertly expertiseness.
I need some suggestions for some line to use on my rod and reel. I will be using this for Jigs and soft plastics. I prefer flourocarbon so please stick with FC lines.
My rod is a Falcon Bucoo 7' H/F (more like a MH/F) With a Carbonlite reel RH 6.4:1.
What would you spool it up with? I dont but line often so i wanna get a quality spool, preferably around 17#.
Thanx! 8-)
I have been using 12lb XPS this year and like it better than any other FC I've tried.
I have been using XPS in 17lbs and it is pretty darn good., especially when its on sale.
I also like Seaguar InvizX a lot as well.
Later,
I like XPS and Trilene.
XPS 14 lb has been very good to me. Seaguar Abrazx in 12lb has also worked out nicely.
17 lb. XPS fluoro is very good stuff for the price. I pitch/flip light to medium cover with it all the time.
#12 AbrazX
8-)
For baitscasting, I use 14#, 17#, and 20# XPS with the 20# being the most frequently used size.

X2 but I only tried a selective few.
12lb sunline shooter flourocarbon
Can't beat 15lb Segaur Red Lable for the price.

I agree with the Sunline Shooter but in 15 or 17. this is the best FC period... It doesnt get any better and the stuff is as sensitive as braid (Well pretty close to braid.) its has a low Dia. its super limp, knots tie well with it.. handles abrasion very well. you will love it! its not cheap but when you want the best then use Sunline Shooter or Sniper... Megabass Dragon Call is great to, handles abrasion a little better but is a little stiffer still a awesome handling line tho!
If you want good cheap line, get xps, spiderwire or berkley trilene. I found 12 lb. trilene at wally world on clearance for 5 bucks.
14lb Seaguar AbrasX.
Well, i ended up getting a 200 yd spool of 15# InvisX on sale for $12. Thanks for all the input guys!

WHERE? I like InvisX but it's generally 21-24 dollars around me. I use the 15# a lot (3 rods).
At a local Dick's sporting goods.
I like the InvisX. Haven't tried the AbrazX so cannot say which is best.
Dicks regular price for the InvisX is 17 something. BPS runs a couple of dollars more.
You can buy InvisX in bulk spools, making it even cheaper per hundred yards.
Berkley Vanish 14#
QuoteBerkley Vanish 14#
I hope that's sarcasm, lol.
We dont take to kindly to Vanish round these parts, LOL ;D
i would stick with 12-17 lb it seems to work th best for me
I've been running 12# invisX on my crankbait rod(chr. 50mg/ kistler mag. ts med. mf) this year and I don't have any complaints. Casts very well IMO.
