Lake Vernon or Toro Creek
Toro creek is the place I was thinking of
Vernon is a great bank fishing place in the fall. Smash em every year around beg of oct thru late november!

This man knows his stuff along those banks
If you have a kayak or small jon boat flukes reign supreme around the stumps. Weightless of course.
Google Toro creek, it's not far from you.
When the creek level is down you can catch 25-30 Kentucky bass a day!
So i checked it out and it looks like a hike through the woods

Toro creek. Typed in toro creek louisiana in google maps and it shows it as a creek comin off the lake in hodges garden
No no no!
Sorry should have been more specific!
Hwy 171 north to Hornbeck, hwy 392 west to hwy 191, turn south on hwy 191 & the Toledo Bend levee, look for a small dirt road on your left which will take you around to the creek.
I wade fish down near the spillway where the cable is stretch across & then bank fish from there down stream. I throw a Texas rig (3/16-1/4) & hopping it while the current moves it.
Ah ok that makes sense ima have to check that one out
Is it the one on google maps down by sabine river called sutton creek or did i go too far south
Goto the dam, that's the Sabine river, just north is the spillway which runs into Toro Bayou. Don't know why everyone calls it creek!
Lol now i see it i preciate it
I'm from Marksville. You could try Hodge's Garden from the bank. Good luck.

Will have to check that out too. Also whats a good mom and pop bait shop around here? Would much rather support them then walmart or academy.
Pineville Marine and Louisiana Archery have most everything you could want here in Pineville.
