While many fish rulers are metal what I love about this one, is that it is a thick foam with an adhesive backing. Much thicker than I expected. This is a gift for brother in law who loves to fish. He'll be able to place it right on his boat and measure as soon as the fish is caught and brought up on the deck. No "fishing" around for the small, metal ruler that he swears he put in the his tackle box! Its a super smart concept that its also made to weather the sun and saltwater. Loved the color choices but I chose the graphite to match his boat. Hoping this also ensures I am invited on his boat more often!

Well I put this Ev foam fish ruler on my boat and went fishing the other day. And I must not have gotten the surface cleaned good enough because well it didn’t make it to the lake on the boat it flew off going 70 mph on highway so either I didn’t clean the fiberglass good enough or the adhesive didn’t ahear to fiberglass good enough. Either way it was road kill. Before I got to use it the right way
