What is the size of the mesh?

Answer: I have the clear rubber net so not fabric mesh but the sides are made of approx 3/4 inch holes while the bottom is made of slightly larger holes (just under an inch) in hexagon pattern.

What is the size of the hoop?

Answer: The hoop frame is 17" wide by 19" long.

Answer: Don't know the hoop size. I used it for saltwater kayak and then boat fishing. The salt took it's tool and I had to screw it in a fixed position as the slide rusted. Eventually the sun deteriorated the net material and it got sticky. The net was great for preventing tackle tangles but not salr friendly.

Answer: Mine was black plastic and really didn't snag rigs or hooks. I used it for kayak and boat fishing in salt water which took it's toll. Second year the slide didn't work, third year rubber and foam deteriorated. Not complaining tough environment.

Answer: None of the S2 Slider landing nets will float.

Answer: No it don’t but it sinks slowly, you can catch it!

This is great for the pier where I fish because it's way above the water and I can reach my catch easily. I once dropped it in the water and it floats so it was easy to retrive. It's a very strong landing net and the customer service is the best I ever came across. I highly recommend their products.

I have the rubber net, great while using treble hook, hook doesn't hang up in net very often. I've landed 23 plus inch redfish and large bowfin with no problem. I can keep it fairly compact or expand it and place on my bow hatch. Go with the rubber, it's well worth the extra money.
