Answer: 7.2 V with a 3480mAh rating ... I'm a Charter Captain and clean at least a few fish almost every day and only have to charge a battery about once a week ... big fish like Kings or Cobia will wear it down faster, I just keep a fully charged battery handy at all times...

I bought this for my father for Father’s Day he is a avid fisherman fillets a lot of fish every year. He used it once tried all the different blades same issue happened every time meat would get stuck between the blades causing to veer off and not get a clean cut off of the fish skin used his Rapolla blade in the Bubba battery powered knife and had no issue with the Rapolla blades it’s a problem with the power blades. sent back got refund I just find it hard to believe that there’s not one other negative comment on this product and I never leave reviews so I figured I better leave this one the fish that my dad mainly fillets is walleye. During the summer he goes out fishing at least four times a week his buddy that he fishes with has one to he tried saying his didn’t do it but my dad cleaned 4 fish to his 1 fish then showed the skin my dads was clean no meat on them and his buddy’s had a lot of left over meat from wandering all over while filleting the fish then he showed him all the meat that was in between the blades on the bubba blades and my dad had n

I had originally gave a high review, but after using twice I am disappointed in the over all power, my Rapala had twice the power. My main complaint is after receiving my knife, I received a solicitation to purchase a “better” battery than what was supplied with my pro. There was no mention that the new pro knife came with inferior batteries, the better battery should have been included. After filleting two batches of walleye with the pro I can clearly state the Rapala R12 has much more power and is twice as fast as the pro,sure wish I could return the pro, but my time limit has expired.

I charged the batteries and used it once then went to use it again and it would not power on, I checked both batteries and the it showed fully charged. I requested a return and was sent an approved return label. I sent the unit off and should have gotten a refund by now, the knife was sent back they received it back on August 6th. I had no option given for a replacement but just a refund. so I called amazon and spoke to them they stated I could reorder the knife I did and it was $40.00 cheaper than the knife I had ordered but it was the same seller. Now I am really concerned because I don't have my refund 11 days later and the I am unsure if I have a problem with this one will I be stuck?

Unit looks used. Scuff marks on the batteries. Motor gets hot after just a few minutes. Handle is a bit cumbersome. Otherwise unit cuts fish like a dream. I hope the motor lasts and does not fail.

Got this for Daddies Day and was very impressed with the whole kit! The storage box is actually useful holding everything in place and looks like it can take a beating riding in a boat or truck.
Cleaned just a few pan fish for the first run and the 7” E-FLEX blade is perfect.
It didn’t take much to get use to the handle and the blades cut like butter through the rib cage.
Looking forward to using it on lots of fish, Thanksgiving Turkey, Christmas ham, and smoked brisket too.

Blades are way to coarse. I would only use it for cutting steaks out of big boned fish, or pruning trees. Filleting and skinning in one shot is a challenge while hcaking up your meat. The grip and switch are terrible too! Too big and too hard to keep the switch activated in the process. My 20 dollar Mr. Twister puts this thing to shame.
