Got this as I have never had a fishing scale and I wanted to test it out and put it through the paces.

This HEETA Waterproof Fish Scale appears to be a quality item. The durable body is perfect for the fisherman and can take some punishment banging around in a boat. The scale is roughly 6"x4" at the widest point and just under 1 1/4" in depth. The product allows for weighing (up to 110 lbs) and measuring your catches with an integrated 40" tape measure. With an easy to read digit LCD Display it is a compact and useful tool for any fisherman.

In testing the scale accuracy I weighed a number of items. The scale was accurate and only occasionally would it read a few tenths off. But otherwise was extremely reliable during my testing.

The integrated 40" tape measure is sort of a one off. At first use, it would not budge. The tape measure is recessed inside of the left side of the scale and is a bit difficult to access until you know how. In order to get the tape measure out, you have to press it towards the front of the scale and then pull it out. I assume this is a defect in the product as the tape measure being locked unless you do this is not addressed anywhere in the small 5-page manual. The tape reels open and closed through out my testing and worked as expected, barring the trick pull that you have to perform to get the tape measure out.

The unit has three buttons.

Left Button - Tare/Zero Function
Middle Button - Power On/Off
Right Button - Unit Conversion (Either kg, lb, or oz)

All three functions are self explanatory and are addressed in the manual. The product are automatically stored after weighing.

The product also claims to be waterproof but does not offer an IP65, IP66 or IP67 rating anywhere which is generally considered waterproof. I tested this claim but tossing the unit in my hot tub several different times and drying it off between each toss. The battery compartment has a silicone seal and screws down to secure a water tight compartment. The tape measure has a silicone flap that keeps most water out. The LCD display and buttons all appear to be water tight as well. In testing, the device passed my submersion testing and still functioned with out any issues.

The manufacturer also included a fine point Phillips screwdriver for removing and installing the two screws that secure the battery compartment. It works as expected.

I could not find any warranty information either in the item description or in the included Instruction manual.
However, on the back of the manual it states:

'This product is guaranteed for 12 months from the date of purchase.'

That's it ...They also provide an email and website address for your use.

All in all, this scale works well, is easy to read and allows you to weigh and measure your catches. It is waterproof and functioned as expected. It was reliable and durable through the testing and it appears to be a quality product. I would recommend this item.

This is a nice scale. It’s rugged enough to get tossed around the boat which happens when you’re scrambling to get a fish weighed and release it back in the water.

I requested this not for fish, but for my luggage. I didn't like how hanging scales made for actual luggage are built. They're usually dainty and frail, and lacking in build quality and toughness in general. This one, however, lacks all those bad qualities.

This scale is built really nicely. Buttons feel great and clicky, and the handle has a hard, rubbery grip. Sure, it's a little bulkier than purpose build luggage weights, but I like the fact that this takes two AAA batteries (included) as opposed to the watch batteries luggage weights tend to use. The backlit display is a nice addition as well, and it's waterproof!

The functions are pretty standard from any other scales. It has buttons for on/off, tare/data lock, and another to change the units from pounds to kilograms to ounces.

Overall, I'm completely satisfied, as this is a nicely made, high quality hanging weight to have around the house for many different uses. 5/5

Awesome fishing scale. Waterproof and comes with a built-in tape measure and hanging strap.

The tare weight function will negate the weight of a net so one can get a total weight on their catch of the day.

Saltwater fishermen should seriously consider this 5-Star product.

This scale is strong enough for a larger fish and sensitive enough for a smaller fish. I've had a couple of blue cats going for 30lbs and one going for 23 lbs. Also had some smaller fish anything from 1 to 3 pound crappies or sunfish. My grandson really gets a kick out of weighing the fish.

Awesome fishing scale. Material is strong and sturdy. The grip is a hard plastic rubberized to prevent the scale from slipping. The screen has a blue led light that makes it easy to see the numbers. Simple to use. Just press the on button and it automatically zeros. I tried it out with a chair and the three times I carried the chair it weighed the same thing. The hook is strong, seems like it can hold some heavy fish. It also brings a sling to attach to the weighing hook. The measuring tape is an awesome feature. It extends easily and stores back in place when you release it. Very happy with this fishing scale. Can’t wait to take it out on the boat. This is water proof and seems like it can withstand all the elements. I would recommend this fishing scale.
