Questions about Vacuum Sealer Machine by Entrige, Automatic Food Sealer for Food Savers w /Starter Kit, Dry Moist Food Modes, Easy to Clean, Led Indicator Lights, Compact Design, Silver(Stainless Steel)
Q:
This item can vacuum soup based food?
Answer: I use food prep containers like these https://smile.amazon.com/Freshware-Containers-Compartment-Stackable-Dishwasher/dp/B073TRVFZS/ref=sr_1_5 to first freeze what I want to store. When frozen, I remove the item from the container and then vacuum seal the frozen food. As these fit in the sealer bags, sometimes I freeze container too. Just the bottom part, not with the lid. No mess..if you're quick. LOL
Answer: A really handy way to vacuum seal soupy stuff is put it in a low wide container not bigger than sealer bags. Freeze, pop out, put the frozen chunk of frozen liquid into the vacuum bag and seal. No mess, works like a charm! Cheers!
Q:
Vacuum no longer sucks air on any setting any assistance with this issue would be appreciated
Answer: It is a little particular about where you put the mouth of the bag, especially if you are using a roll and the plastic has a curvature. The mouth needs to stay in the center of the vacuum chamber AFTER you close the lid. Sometimes it takes a second or third try.
Answer: Mine has done the same thing. I used once a few months back, today I went to use and it won't suck any air out. Disappointed in this product.
Answer: Same thing here. Worked fine the first day using it, second time out of the box it would vac half the air out if you were lucky, then seal the bag. Their customer service has been HORRIBLE to deal with.
Answer: If it were me, I would contact customer service. I have only used mine in a test and had no problems.
Q:
How do you return this machine? i've had for about a month and 1/2. used it 4 times. it died today. not worth the cost for 4 bag seals .
Answer: You can complain to Amazon if you want, but it is a no name bare bones ultra budget product with zero support. These are the kinds of things you buy for a quick fix and don't even bother crying about when they only work half a dozen times before hitting the garbage bin.
Answer: I wish i knew how also. I am dissatisfied with the sealer. doesn't suck all the air out of the bag before it seals it.
Answer: Not a good product. I tried to review to warn people but Amazon rejected my review because it talked about the “pay” to review efforts the seller makes. I am been scammed. This is not a 4.5 star product. Bout for $30 and they offered $30 credit for a good review and I know. Nothing good is free.
Answer: I had exactly the same problem. Returned it.
Q:
what is the largest width this model will seal?
Answer: The sealing strip is 11.5 inches wide.
Q:
I had a food saver sealer and quite a few rolls of sealer bag material left. smooth on one side and textured on the other. will work in this one?
Answer: Make sure you are using vacuum sealer bags with texture on one or both sides; the bags with no texture can only for seal, not for vacuum.
Q:
Is there any difference between the model e2902-ms in your store and the model e2900-ms in other stores?
Answer: Yes, our E2902-MS is a full stainless steel panel, and the E2902-MS is a new version of the E2900-MS.
Q:
Bought this and i cannot get it to work, help please! I followed the instructions, i can’t get stuff to vacuum seal, only seal. Help!
Answer: We did also and the first few times it was used it did vacuum seal; after about the third time it would only seal. I would not recommend this product to anyone....
Answer: it took me a couple trys too, you have to put the bag only half way in stop at the middle part then you have to press hard on the side closing mechanisum until you hear a snap on both sides then it works.
Answer: My husband and I both tried it and the only way we could get it to vacuum was to lean all or our body weight on it after we closed it and heard the clicks. We returned ours.
Answer: We couldn’t either at first, but realized you have to place the plastic in the front of the machine where the air will be sucked out and not past that point.
Q:
i just bought this vacuum sealer and it is not vacuuming. what can I do?
Answer: Return it and buy a food saver from Walmart. That’s what I did because my wasn’t vacuuming either.
Answer: I found that the 11 inch bags don't work . Try the 8 inch bags they seem to work fine.
Q:
I cant get it to vacuum seal.
Answer: Sent mine back and ordered the Icetek for the same price. Works much better.
Q:
Is this supposed to come with the accessory hose? The one I just purchased did not.
Answer: Yes, if says “with food sealer starter kit” mine had a short hose to attach to vacuum port on the Enterige machine. It can be used with Enterige vacuum sealed containers with special top on them. Also with minor alteration can be fitted to work with the Food Saver brand canning jar attachments. Amazon description says “1xvacuum sealer hose
Answer: The one I purchased did have a vacuum hose.
Answer: Yes it comes with hose. Very good machine
Answer: Mine did, but I'd advise sending it back and buying a better quality one. Mine quit vacuuming all the air after the first use. Customer service from them is terrible also. I will avoid this store and product with my life after this.
Answer: No, it doesn't..You'll have to buy the Jar sealer kit .

Answer: I wondered the same thing!! It's not listed on the box...I was so confused! I came here to find a link to email the seller and find out about it! So glad I wasn't the only one!! :)
Answer: Yes, not sure what for though
Q:
Is this supposed to have come with the canister? If not, where do I get it?
Answer: No it doesn't come with canister - think you can find them on amazon

Answer: Mine did not
Q:
Is this machine suppose to automatically seal on moist mode
Answer: Yes it will seal
Answer: One of the buttons is for moist/dry modes
Q:
“Seller” what is the actual Warranty ?
Answer: It's a total piece of garbage. Don't waste your money. I used it and it 'vacuumed and sealed' very slowly. A week later all bags had come unsealed. Spend a little more and get more. It only has good ratings because they offer to send you free bags if you give them five stars. I sent it back.
Answer: One year warranty
Answer: 1yr. Let me add that the machine is amazing. It works as well as those selling for 100 or more. Great find

Answer: I don't see why it couldn't
Answer: Yes
Answer: Yes
Q:
How wide is the heal seal (on the bag) for this? I see that other machines have about 2-3mm
Answer: 3 mm
Q:

Answer: It does not seal mylar bags. I use the ones they came with and I the FoodSaver brand bags also.
Answer: According to the instruction manual, it does.
Q:
Is there a reset button for the heating element? No longer seals after using it a few times. I followed instructions; waited time before each seal.
Answer: I would absolutely send it back. Cheapest way of course. It’s a paper weight now.
Q:
Can you use this with crackers?
Answer: Crackers would not work in any vacuum but you could seal the bag after expressing as much air as possible.
Answer: I would imagine so. You could skip the suction function so that they wouldn’t crack the crackers
Answer: Yes
Q:
What bags are recommended
Answer: Make sure you are using vacuum sealer bags with texture on one or both sides; the bags with no texture can only for seal, not for vacuum.
Answer: Hi! Any bags with grooves on the inside will do. I bought this one: Vacuum Sealer Rolls Bag, 6 Pack... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D8PKCWL?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Answer: I have used just vacuum seal bags any will work.
Q:
Does this vacuum sealer make it air tight? I have a vacuum sealer that once "vacuumed sealed" you can still move the food around in the bag somewhat.
Answer: It for sure keeps things air tight! If you are doing meats, they will have a small amount of "wiggle room" because the meat expands once frozen.
Answer: It removes the air and makes it air tight. Food doesn't move around.
Answer: the same thing happens sometimes when the vacuume doesen't pull all the air from the baz.
Answer: yes it does
Q:
Is the packaging for this product discreet? I’m getting it as a gift.
Answer: It arrived in a larger Amazon box. Beware the "special offer" for free bags with a 5 star review is a bait and swap.
Answer: Mine came in a typical Amazon box
Q:
the machine has stopped working after 8 months. it's too late to return to amazon. how do I get the warranty?
Answer: Call the manufacturer
Q:
Will someone tell me specifically how to use the accessory feature (hose function)? which buttons, etc? I can't get it to work to seal jars. Thanks
Answer: I never used this before.
Q:
Can I return mine for testing if I have never seen the vacuum on it work?
Answer: You must put the sealer bag opening in the correct location of the vacuum sealer area. If put in too far, or not far enough, it doesn’t work. Also, must use textured bags for it to work properly. Don’t forget to LOCK the side locks before using, or it won’t work to seal. Hope this helps. Read instructions very carefully.
Q:
Does it only work with bags that have texture on both sides? I ordered it and now am using other bags with only texture on one side and it won’t work.
Q:
does this machine seal mylar bags?
Answer: No. This machine seals by melting
Answer: Yes it will seal mylar bags just the same way it seals other bags
Answer: I can’t say anything about Mylar but I tried regular zip lock bags. It sealed them but didn’t suck the air out
Q:
Does it have a hose for the jar sealer?
Answer: Yes
Answer: Yes it does
Answer: yes it does.
Answer: Yes
Answer: YES IT DOES
Q:
Where can I buy containers that are compatible?
Answer:
Answer:
Answer: Tons of these are available on Amazon.
Q:
Which canisters fit the tube attachment that comes with this? Not all canisters have the same fitting. Entrige offers no help at all on this.
Answer: Don't buy it. It's horrible and useless. This is coming from an experienced vacuum sealer user. I made the mistake of purchasing this but rectified that mistake by sending it back for a refund.
Q:
Can you use any sealer bags with this - or is there a specific kind?
Answer: I used a generic kind, found on amazon, and worked just fine. Make sure they have a textured side to them (unlike a ziplock type bag)
Answer: I bought the first sealer bags that popped up in my search and they worked just as well as the ones that came with the sealer.
Answer: We have only used the bags it came with.
Answer: They all work I’m pretty sure
Q:
When I use the vac/seal button it will keep vacuuming forever and never seals? The seal function does work just by itself though.
Answer: I believe I made the same mistake and I suspect the end of your bag is not centered inside the vacuum ring/oval. It’s the area just past the heat seal strip. Make sure your bag opening doesn’t extend past that area.
Answer: Read the instructions and the picture associated with the unit. It took me a few times to figure it out, but it works great!
Answer: Mine was opposite. Seal worked and vacuum didn’t. Sent it back
Answer: Make sure the bag is positioned in between the 2 sealer bars. That happens occasionally to me when bag off a bit.
Answer: Sounds about right
Q:
Can you custom size each bag?
Answer: Yes you can. Bags that you customize come on a roll. You cut size you need seal the bottom. Fill it up then fill the top.
Q:
Energia 220v?
Q:
Will it work on fresh caught fish?
Answer: Yes, it has a dry and moist setting. It has sealed my chicken and beef flawlessly. Don't see why fish would be any different.
Answer: Yes it's great. I have used it for both already frozen and fresh fish!
Answer: It doesn't seem to work oin anything but yes, a better vacuum sealer will.
Answer: Dear customer,
Answer: I don’t see why not, there’s a wet and a dry button. I just love my food sealer!!
Answer: Don’t know why not just hit moist button and vac seal
Answer: Yes, just need to use the moist setting.
Q:
I received a business card with the sealer, saying, lifetime warranty, can this be verified? Entrige has not replied to my email!
Answer: We received one offering a gift card and haven’t received that either. Hopefully, a follow-up email will produce a positive result.
Q:
I press hard on both side of the lid but the lid never lock. I applied pressure by hand but it doesn't suck all air out. Is it a defective unit?
Answer: Mine does seem kinda tough to get the two tabs to lock. Try seeing if the lid locks while there arent any bags in the machine just to see if it locks, that what i did to see how hard to push. If it still doesnt lock then i would contact the seller
Answer: make sure that you only have the bag and not any of the contents in the machine. If it still does not lock, I would contact for some tech support.
Answer: The opening of the bag needs to sit inside the hole when closed, and as straight as possible.
Answer: Both sides should snap together if not then something must be wrong.
Q:
what coyntry is this product made in?
Answer: China
Q:
220v energía?

Answer: 30 cm

Where do i buy the compatible containers for the suction hose? i have searched amazon & can't find any that are entrige brand. please post link.
Answer: Hello, so sorry that our brand don't sell container. You can search for vacuum container. Please remember to buy containers that can be used for vacuum. Because our vacuum machine has the attached air sunction hose. It is recommended that when you buy a vacuum container, ask the buyer if there is a delivery tube. If there is, it is the best. At that time, you can combine the air sunction hose supplied with our vacuum machine and the air sunction hose delivered by the container.

Product reviews of Vacuum Sealer Machine by Entrige, Automatic Food Sealer for Food Savers w /Starter Kit, Dry Moist Food Modes, Easy to Clean, Led Indicator Lights, Compact Design, Silver(Stainless Steel)
GA Voter : Worked once and never again.
The sealer worked when we first bought it. We usually buy in bulk, then seal and freeze; so, we didn't try to use it again for a month. The vacuum part seemed to work well, but when we pushed the 'seal' button, the vacuum stopped and air was sucked back into the bag. Unfortunately, because of the way we buy in bulk, the return window had closed by the time we tried to use it the second time.
Ren M : Been using it for two months, so far so good.
This vacuum sealer is pretty good! I like to make sure I give things a thorough try before I give a review. I have been using it for 2 full months now and have not had any issues with it. Its pretty easy to use and the suction is great. I use it to meal prep so when I need to chop up veggies and precook food, this sealer comes in handy. It has helped me to significantly reduce waste on foods that I may not get to right away. I have been finding that things last several weeks longer (especially if put in the freezer) than they do if I just used zip lock bags or bowls. To use it, you just put the opening of the bag in the middle, push the top part down until it clicks, and then select the proper sealing button. It was so easy, my husband used it all on his own with me only having to demonstrate one time! Haha! It also takes up very little counter space, which is another thing I was looking for in a vacuum sealer. If you're thinking about getting one, go ahead and get it. You will not be disappointed. I chose this one out of all of the other ones available and I'm very happy with it!.
Little Lulu : I would like to know what the warranty is on this product
I bought this item from Amazon in July 2020. It worked great right out of the box, sealing large packages of meats into ones that were well suited for1. I went to use it today, Boo!, no heating element. The vacuum works but it is useless because the heat doesn't seal the bag. I looked on the box and found an email entrige.com, doesn't work.
I believe I'll think long and hard before I purchase a product from a company that you cannot contact for a warranty issue.
***Update*** I have received emails from Entrige offering me $30 Amazon gift cards if I change my 1 star rating to a 5 star. No Sir, I cannot be bought for anything, my review stands as it is!
AZ Scholar : Super easy to use and very efficient.
I am a great fan of vacuum sealing to preserve my frozen food. My old vacuum sealer finally wore out so I purchased the Entrige vacuum sealer uncertain of how well it would work since I was so used to my old one. I was pleasantly surprised. The technology has certainly improved in vacuum sealer‘s over the years. This one is much more automatic than my old one and to my surprise works much better. It has very good suction power and the sealer works to create a clean seal as long as you take a second and make sure there are no creases in the area that is to be fused. Would I recommend this sealer system? That is a resounding yes! For the price I don’t know that you could beat it.
SN29 : Perfect for small kitchen
I just recently decided to replace my old FoodSaver vacuum sealer. It was several years old and was a hand me down. It was also the biggest pain to use, and huge, so I set out to find a vacuum sealer that was smaller, no frills and wasn't going to set me back $100.
At first glance, I was worried about this one, since, unlike a lot of people, I only read the bad reviews first and then move onto the good reviews if the bad doesn't completely turn me off. The bad reviews all follow the same pattern, it dies early in it's life, but the price was right and the good reviews also followed the same pattern, it works great. So I am taking the chance.
Right now, this sealer works great for me. Unlike my old one, I can keep this on hand stored in a cabinet and pull it out whenever I need it. I have taken to sealing tons of things I normally wouldn't have bothered with before. I've probably used this about 50 times since I got it with no problems.
Now, let's talk about wet items. Honestly, reading the bad reviews, I didn't even realize people just throw wet meat into the bags and seal them that way. I have always frozen most of my meat partially before vacuum sealing, especially steaks and chicken since I like to be able to open the bag and remove/reseal if I don't want to use the entire package. Meat also defrosts faster when it's not all clumped together. But I do package stuff like ground beef and bacon without freezing first, and I had no issues at all even when ground beef juice and bacon juice got up to the sealer. Only issue I had was with turkey lunch meat that was super wet, and that was more of a would it seal sorta experiment. Lunch meat, if I was sealing it for real, would get frozen into batches first, so it's a moot point for me.
The seal itself is very good. My old sealer had the thinnest seal strip that would sometimes fail. This one is a nice thick seal strip that has not failed yet.
Overall, I think that this sealer is a winner. We will see a few months from now if it stays a winner. It's price doesn't make me overly concerned about it's long term durability, but I would be pretty disappointed if it dies on me in a month or two. With this one, I will revisit this review in 6 months to see where we stand!
Amazon Customer : Easy to use and works well.
I had been wanting a vacuum sealer for a long time and finally pulled the plug. As soon as I got this one I took several items that I had in my freezer in ziplock bags and vacuum sealed them. I sealed leftover pizza, sliced ham, and several bags of vegetables. It shrunk all the bags real tight just like packages you'd get from the store.
The main thing I wanted to seal was soup. I made a large pot of beef vegetable soup and froze individual servings in plastic bowls and once frozen, I took them out and vacuum sealed all of them. That worked much better than what I used to do, which was to stick a straw in the bags and suck out the air.
Patrick Newman : Won’t vacuum
Mine will not vacuum and it’s very frustrating as this is the reason I bought it. Now it’s too late to return.
Treniece : I wanted to love it
Doesn't suck up all the air. After reading the reviews this was big let down.
The Reverend A.J. Miller : NOPE
For clarity, I did not write this review in exchange for a free or discounted item. In fact, i turned down multiple offers of a discount from the manufacturer in exchange for writing a more positive review, or just deleting it.
this machine was bought as a replacement for a different vacuum sealer, which failed after 12 minutes of use. I bough this unit based on positive user reviews and affordable price point.
I was unable to seal a single bag with this machine. at one point I let the vacuum run for 3 minutes (!!!) waiting for it to vacuum seal the bag, before trying to trick the machine and manually seal it while the vacuum was engaged. it wouldn't fully seal the bag, even without vacuum - as if there was several small breaks in the heating element.
In the end, to avoid my getting even more upset, I decided to go ahead and spend the money and ended up with a Nesco VS-12 vacuum sealer, which I am very pleased with.
Antoinette Trinidad : Buyer Beware!
After a few weeks of use this vacuum sealer started to consistently overheat even with light use! Customer service is unresponsive so warranty doesn’t matter... they state the item has a lifetime warranty. Buyer beware... I’ve learned my lesson. Now in trash.
JohnnieGirrrl : Burn Hazard
Edited Review - Seller has sent 4 e-mails asking me to remove this review or change it to 5 stars in exchange for $30.00 - $40.00. They state they are using a different manufacturer now...however, my review relates to a design issue. If you decide to purchase, be sure there is a "nub" or a "tab" added to the device in order to lift the cover to avoid burning yourself. Unsure what they'll do (or claim to do) to fix the problem of loose and/or incomplete vacuum sealing.
I have now updated the rating from 2 stars to 1 star because I don't like the idea of "buying" a good review, especially when the item is a burn hazard.
Original Review - Doesn't remove all the air and there's no handle or "nub" to lift the cover after sealing. I've burnt myself once trying to get the thing open. Now I just struggle with it and very cautiously yet clumsily open the cover after sealing in order to avoid burning myself.
Omni9800 : You can control all aspects of the vacuum and sealing process.
Bought this because of the peer reviews and price. Didn't want to invest a lot in a vacuum sealer. Didn't think I would use it enough to make it pay-back. Have found, however, that I use it more than I thought.
Single person household, so when I buy proteins like meat, poultry or fish, I usually buy multiples to minimize grocery trips. In the past these got packaged in plastic wrap (2 layers) then sealed in a zip-lock bag for freezing. Not terribly difficult, but the triple step process became a little annoying. This preserved the protein pretty well, but a family member told me I could get better results with a vacuum sealer.
I've gotten not just better results, but markedly better results. Anything I seal with the Entrige Vacuum sealer remains fresh...protein, veggies, cooked foods, bread & baked goods. I've been astounded. So far, really pleased with my purchase.
It's simple and intuitive to operate. Produces consistent results and is compact enough to store on the counter. The ability to control all aspects of the vacuum and sealing process was a welcome surprise. I like that it cleans quickly & easily.
It's well packaged and includes a microfiber cloth to keep the stainless stop sparkling. There's also a vacuum tube, but I haven't found a use for it yet. I think it requires special containers to operate.
So far, so good. Hoping it continues to provide consistent service for some years to come.
Julie R. : What took me so long ?
After purchasing this vacuum sealer I wonder why I didn't do it sooner. It's fun and easy to use. I went through my entire freezer and found so many things to seal up. No problem with the vacuum or seal. Does a nice job. I feel confident now that my food will last and not get freezer burned before I use it. I made packages of all sizes and shapes and every one is tight and sealed. Thanks for making a good product at a great price. I like that it comes with a roll and precut bags as well as a cleaning cloth. Nice additions!
Tracy Shea : Absolutely worthless.
Worthless. No suction at all. Waste of money. Hasnt sealed a bag yet. Can't even suck the air out. Don't waste your money.
Overstreet : Good design. Works like it is suppose to.
To the folks who say that it does not have enough suction, I would ask that you try pushing down on the four corners of the lid until you hear the latches click into place. It is not able to get a good seal if this is not done properly. My previous vacuum sealer had to be held closed in a certain way in order to get it to seal properly. It also did not work on all bag types. Once you close this one up, the design assures that there is a smooth even seal. I also tried it on some of the bags the previous sealer had problems with. Those bags are thicker and stronger. This machine sealed them as well as the thinner bags. There us also a hose attachment to seal containers as well as bags. I haven't tried this yet but, based on the overall quality and performance, I expect it to work as well as the bags.

Love my deals : So glad to have this food Vacuum sealer
Vacuum sealer Great for so many uses.I have always wanted one of these because unfortunately in the past we used to waste food every once in a while due to the fact that it was not tasted as good a couple days after we bought it. This allows us to a store leftovers easier in the freezer so they don’t get freezer burn. We also can see all these for refrigerator so that they taste even better a couple days after for leftovers. Great for large portions are small portions. Easy to use. Came on time and as described. Great value. This is going to save us so much money in the long run. So happy with this item.
Larry D. Robb : Stylish and easy to use
For years we have been using a Food Saver vacuum sealer that we got at Goodwill. It finally gave up the ghost and we needed a replacement. Before posting a review, we wanted to test out all the functions and we can report that it works beautifully as advertised. It’s easy to remove just the right amount of air to keep from smashing delicate items. We also vacuum-sealed Mason jars using the adapters from our old Food Saver. Just to be sure it would work, we put the old Food Saver connector on one end of the canister hose so it would fit properly there.
We are very happy with this purchase and hope it will last for a long time.
Olivia's Baka : A machine that really works well
I used it for the first time today and I was delighted with the results. Mind you, I messed up the first bag as I didn't insert it correctly. Unfortunately the instructions are a bit loose on that aspect. Once I figured out what to do, it really went very smoothly and worked out a treat. I was tired of my meats getting freezer burn from being wrapped in plain plastic wrap and plastic bags and I am hoping that this will stop that freezer burn. Once you get the hang of it, it works very quickly and I was able to put all my chicken pieces into vacuum bags without any problem. The 8" x 12" bags seems to be the perfect size for most of my requirements. I haven't had a chance to try out the roll yet but I'm sure it will work just as well. It is quick, easy, and performs very well. Time will tell how well it lasts. I love it so far.
Will-Review4U : save food and money - get their rolls!
We purchased this food save and another set of bags from entrige as a set so we would not run out of bags after the deer processing season. What makes this food saver better than a lot of the other ones at this price range is you get to choose a lot of the settings on your own. For example if you are just stealing up a bag of chips that you have a ready opens you set it to the first setting which is not as strong and you can easily rip it open and keep sealing it again after each use. It was really easy to use without even reading the instructions and has a great seal on it. I think it is perfect for our hunting and preserving family and freeze to give out during the winter to friends and family. We have purchased chicken in bigger package and this food saver is a great way to divy up into dinner portions and keep frozen until needed.
Construction and button placement is well thought out, the features are exceptional considering the price point, and it is convenient and easy to use.
Shawn : Excellent Well Built Sealer
I was quite impressed with this vacuum sealer. I had limited experience with vacuum sealers as I last used one in the late 1970's. Yes, I am that old but still thinking young.
I was very impressed with this vacuum sealer when I first removed it from its box. It was very well built and you could tell this by its weight. The outer portion is aluminum or stainless steel and looks very nice. It is also very easy to clean with a simple wipe or two. The first time I used just the sealer I did not get a good seal. This is because it has to be used several times at first to warm up the sealing bar. This is in the manual but I overlooked it of course. After the sealing bar warmed up it worked perfectly and did not take long when sealing a bag. This is especially good when you buy the sealing material on a long roll and have to seal both ends. First you cut your desired length then seal the "bottom" of the bag. Flip the bag over and put your item in and place the other end in the proper area for a vacuum and a seal. The machine quickly removes the air from the bag after first sealing the open end. It signals you when it is finished and then you release the latches and you are done. Importantly, in order to get a good seal, make sure both latches on the top cover are secure before starting.
An added bonus is an attachment to remove the air from certain containers. I have never used any containers that could be vacuum sealed before. However, as soon a we can find what we need in vaccum sealable containers, we will.
Overall I am impressed with the build and quality of this vacuum sealer. In addition, I am very satisfied with the performance of this vacuum sealer. You cannot beat it for the price and I highly recommend this unit to anyone wanting to save money and food.
Shopper For Life! : Do Not Buy DOES NOT WORK
5 stars for sealing, that has never been a problem with this item. -5 stars for vacuum seal ability. I can no longer deal with this product. Refund or not, it is going back. I can use a zip-lock and remove more air than THIS ITEM.
Noteworthy: You have to freeze or "dry" the contents PRIOR. What's the point of this product then?
I purchased with the hope of freezing meats in an airtight bag. If I must freeze before I try to vacuum seal (that does NOT work, what's the point?
Try another brand perhaps...
This one does not vacuum at all.
Weho Shopper : Light but Sturdy and Easy to Use
I got this Entrige Vacuum Sealer as a replacement for a 20-year-old Foodsaver. When I first got it, I thought the Entrige was too light to be any good (the Foodsaver was quite heavy) and considered returning it because it felt so cheap. But after using it for several months, I can say it performs better than the Foodsaver I had. The lightness is an advantage because it's easier to move around, so I can get it out and put it away for small jobs I wouldn't have bothered with before. And, the lid clamps down for sealing, so I don't have to hold down the sides as with the old one. I can actually prepare the next bag while one bag is vacuum-packing. What I've also found is that it isn't nearly as fussy as the Food saver about vacuuming and sealing. On the Foodsaver, the bag wouldn't seal if there was a droplet of water or grain of food anywhere near the vacuuming/sealing line. The Entrige doesn't seem to care whether there's a bit of water of a stray smear of food and plows right through, meaning that I save time by not having to wipe the opening of each bag after I put the food in. Easy to use, light, and much less expensive than it's heavier competition. Recommended.
Faith : Loose vacuum seal
Disappointed. The vacuum sucks air very slowly from the bags. So far, about 2 or 3 of every 5 items I seal and freeze wind up sealed enough to prevent freezer burn. The rest experience crystals in the bag the first night they stay in the freezer.
I usually have to try and vacuum more than once. Sometimes I’ll have to start over. The air does not get sucked away from the corners or crevices of the meat, and the seal seems loose in general around the food.
I really hoped for better results based on my careful research of reviews. I don’t buy things without researching and this seemed like a good buy.
I do use the roll of bags that came with the vacuum so I know that incompatible bags isn’t the issue. It just seems that the item isn’t strong enough to suck all the air from the bag. I’ll use it but am not thrilled at all.
I’m sad the return window has passed.
dunchloe : fell apart...
So I bought this, but waited over a month before trying it out. I felt confident since over 7k apparently loved it... I'd be okay, but no no no ... and I regret being fooled by such high reviews for such a cheap product. I really HATE this thing. I have to try twenty times before it works but... after a couple dozen times using to success, the whole thing broke at the hinges... No way to clean chicken juice out of the thing. junk junk junk junk junk junk I thought I was doing it wrong, and perhaps I had, but not THAT wrong. Do not buy...
AW : It works!
There are so many vacuum sealers on sale at Amazon with varying features and price points, making it very difficult for a first time buyer like me to find one that works as advertised. After a few weeks of research, I still couldn't decide on which one to buy. I went with Entrige because of the specs and consistently positive reviews. No, it's not the cheapest, and nor does it have the built-in cutter and compartment for the vacuum sealer rolls, two features I initially really desired. But according to the reviews, it seems to offer strong suction power and tight seal, which is important to sous vide, as well as costs less than $50, I decided to pull the trigger.
I have used the vacuum sealer several times since I received it about two weeks ago. So far so good...I vacuum sealed vegetables and didn't notice any sign of air in the bags after a few days. I also used it to vacuum sealed a few bags of protein for sous vide cooking. Sealing dry food (e.g., protein with dry rub) was very easy. Vacuum-sealed moist food like marinated meat was a bit tricky - I was able to seal the bags easily as long as I was careful enough to keep the moisture out of the area nearby the closure. I wasn't able to vacuum-seal the moist food, but the machine was able to suck some air out and seal the bags. According to the manual, one is supposed the freeze the moist food first before vacuum seal it, so I wasn't disappointed. After 2 hours of sous vide cooking, there was no water getting in the bags, which proves the machine does what it advertises!
The machine has nice design - it has stainless steel finish on the top and is not bulky. The clean-up is easy too. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase.
Melodie L. : Why did I wait so long?
Why did I wait so long to purchase a vacuum sealer? I’ve wasted so much food over the years but not anymore! This product works great and it’s so quick and easy to use. The first thing I sealed were hamburger patties that were already frozen and stacked in a bag. I separated them and sealed 2 to a package because there are only two people in our house. Usually they end up getting so much freezer burn that they get tossed. I’m confident that they will stay perfectly sealed and ready for the grill whenever I need them. Next I sealed homemade protein bars that tended to go stale or grow mold before they were consumed. They are costly and I’ve had to throw to many away, wasting more money. It comes with some bags and a small roll of plastic bags to cut to the length you need. It also comes with an attachment to use for special containers. It will reseal chip bags, no need for bag clips and keeps your chips fresh. So many times I’ve had to throw away fresh fruit or vegetables because I didn’t get to use them before they went bad. I look forward to sealing them to help them stay fresh longer.
Reader : Game Changer
I first ordered a cheaper brand than this one and immediately regretted it and returned it and then tried this one. Because I came from a crappy one with crappy instructions this one feels like a miracle! Soooo easy to use and the instruction manual is very thorough and detailed and gives great suggestions and makes everything so easy to do! It also taught me something amazing...that cooked meat when vacuum sealed can last 10-15 days in the fridge!!! ????????????. It came with this beautiful cloth and the suction tube for accessories and a small starter assortment of bags. It works fast and well and if something doesn’t hold its seal just read their manual and they’ll tell you why! Most likely user error (fold in seam, food particles blocking seam etc). It’s also an attractive appliance so you can leave it on your counter for easy use. I bought it for long term food storage but after reading their manual I see that I will be using it daily for fridge items! Worth every penny. Don’t bother with cheaper ones from China, you get what you pay for.

Mark Merritt : Could not be happier with this purchase
My wife and I are now "empty nesters" and have downsized from a 2,500 square foot home on five and a half acres to an 850 square foot cottage in town... Two challenges exist for nearly every food purchase: space and storage...
Space in nearly every aspect of our lives is precious... It is particularly significant in food storage... We have a single refrigerator / freezer now instead of two full refrigerators and two freezers previously... Much of the food we purchase is far more economical in units larger than one meal for two people... Keeping unused or left over portions wholesome and tasty is a significant issue...
A friend recommended we consider a shrink wrap sealer machine... We did some homework and decided on the Vacuum Sealer Machine by Entrige... Could not be happier... This nearly eighty year-old really likes the ease of use and simplicity of the instructions...
We started by "repackaging" many of the large bagged items in our freezer (shrimp, scallops, vegetables, meats, etc.) into single meals for two portions using this machine... We gained back nearly a quarter of the space taken by the larger packages... Not only were the packages smaller but also they could be fitted into the nooks and crannies of space that were impossible for the larger packages... And, the new packages are truly airtight which would not have been possible even with freezer zipper bags...
We've "played" with the machine on food that comes from the store in Mylar style bags: potato chips, cookies, etc. The machine quickly evacuates the air and seals the bags with the uneaten food it them... Contents were crisp and tasty even days after sealing... We cooked more than we ate for Thanksgiving... We've bagged and vacuum sealed leftovers for refrigerator or freezer... The look great... Will update this review in a few weeks to share how that worked out... But, if what we've seen to this point is any indication, I'm sure it will be fine...
This machine just may show up under the Christmas tree for several of our adult children and grandchildren...
SmithHaus : Perfect compact model
We got this vacuum sealer machine for our RV, made by entrige this automatic food sealer for food w/starter kit, is perfect for all of your types of food, dry and moist food modes, and frankly very easy to use.
It is also very easy to clean with its led indicator lights, compact design, silver (stainless steel) compact design is key as it is in our RV. We actually have a couple these one at the house and the cabin but wanted one for the RV as we like to vacuum seal everything.
Like I said this one is the right size asn super versatility & convenient for your i kitchen or RV like we use it. It is simple when food is protected from air and freezer burn it last for a lot longer and is fresher.
This one is super easy to use and works will all bags that you can even buy at like a Walmart., we found vacuumed sealer bags at the Sams club in rocky point Mexico.
Mark B : Easy to use and reliable
After toying with the idea of buying a food vacuum sealer for years, I finally took the plunge and am so happy I chose this product. My plan was to use it primarily for storing bulk food long term, as my wife and I both love Costco meats but rarely eat enough steak/chicken/pork/salmon to make it worth buying the large quantities. I have used it so far to make vacuum sealed freezer ready portions of all of the above meats. The sealer was easy to use with intuitive buttons and set up, although the instruction manual does spell everything out as well. I also have used it to marinate our meat and holy cow, compared to regular ziplock bags, there is SO much more flavor with vac sealing for the marinade as it allows for constant contact of the flavors. Lastly, I like that the product comes in a nice box which I plan to keep it in when not in use and it fits nicely in one of our bottom cupboards. Overall, highly recommend.
Shelly Dunn : It seals...and that's about it
No vacuum power at all and very noisy. I'm assuming, by all the positive reviews, I just received a defective machine (it happens sometimes) but I am going to return and not take any chances on another one. Disappointed after all the good reviews I sae.
J. Fielek : A nice vacuum sealer at a good price.
TL;DR — great value, works well with a couple small idiosyncrasies that are just part of the learning curve.
I’d been looking for a vacuum sealer for a while and at this price point it was worth snagging.
The sealer came with a few larger bags and a small roll of 8” bags. The roll requires that you cut it to length, seal one end, put in whatever you’re preserving, and then run the vacuum sealing cycle. It’s simpler than it sounds. It’s extremely simple to operate, but may take a few tries to get a feel for how much bag you’ll need.
Usage is straightforward. If you’re using a roll, you first cut it to fit the item to be stored. Next, place one end of the bag over the sealing bar, close the cover, and press the “seal” button.
After that, you load the bag, and place the open end into the vacuum chamber (it will lay across the sealer as well), close the cover, and press “vacuum and seal”. It’ll suck the air out and then seal the bag after the air has been sucked out.
Two minor issues :
The bag needs to have an extra inch or so to ensure it reaches the vacuum chamber. If it’s too short the vacuum can’t suck the air out of the bag and it’ll never seal. The same holds true if the bag isn’t placed far enough over the edge of the vacuum chamber.
When sealing or vacuum sealing, the cover must be completely closed. Both latches (one on either side) must click closed, or the vacuum can’t do its job, and the sealer won’t have full contact across the bag.
I also purchased a couple rolls of 8” bags from another manufacturer and they work perfectly. You need a textured bag for the vacuum to work; smooth bags won’t let the vacuum suck out the air.
Shopper For Life! : Do Not Buy DOES NOT WORK
5 stars for sealing, that has never been a problem with this item. -5 stars for vacuum seal ability. I can no longer deal with this product. Refund or not, it is going back. I can use a zip-lock and remove more air than THIS ITEM.

the computer geek : There is a right way and not so right way to use this.
I bought this brand after doing a lot of research on food savers and going with the reader feedback for Entrige. The biggest complaint seemed to be getting it to seal. When I received I was ready to use it on some fresh veggies and meat I had ready to go into the freezer.
It took a couple times to figure out the sealing procedure and how to get the best seal. I was following the directions to press down on the corners to get the lid to lock down. Even doing that I could see I didn't have a total seal. Found out that what works best is to press the corners down from both the top and the bottom at the same time and wait until I hear the click to make sure it is truly closed and locked. This means I have to lift the machine up a little to reach under and hold down which is a little tricky when you have a bag in there. But practice makes perfect and it is working fine and the seal is nice and tight.
I am happy with this Entrige food saver and think it was worth the price I paid for it. Only time is going to tell if this product will continue to seal well so I can keep my food fresh in the freezer.
baldrobguy : A must-have for the amateur and professional alike!
The Entrige vacuum sealer solves the issue of how much pressure to exert on your foods by having a simple set of buttons which ask simply "hard or soft" "dry or moist". My old sealer had no such settings and frequently crushed the food or squeezed the food out of the bag and into the machine necessitating a lengthy clean-up. The Entrige also comes apart easily for cleaning which is a real help .
The machine came with an ample supply of bags and rolled tubing to make your own bags to get you started. It also came with an accessory tube to use with vacuum containers (which I am dying to try out).
Great for those who cook for a crowd yet only have a mouth or two to feed. Leftovers can be boiled in the bag for a sous vide effect and the food comes out better than any reheat or microwave.
A must-have for the amateur and professional alike.
Aig : Worked only 6 mos - Tried to buy my review.
UPDATE 4/2021: Manufacturer contacted me and offered $30 Amazon credit to remove my review. Two weeks later manufacturer contacted me & offered $45 Amazon credit to remove my review. I told them to credit the account and I'd update my review to say they helped. Told me they wanted me to remove the review first. I said no. Haven't heard from them since. Been 2 months.
Initially was quite pleased. Used up all original supplies. But quit working when tried to do a jar with a Food Saver attachment. Complete failure for that. Since then, when I do dry grains in pouch, will vacuum air out, but never seal. Big bummer.
Angel Chandler : Spend a little more and get a better one
It's a good machine for the price, but I'd pay a little more for an easier to use one. You have to push down, hard, to get it to snap in place for use. Also, if the bag doesn't line up exactly it won't work, not one tiny bit of wiggle room. Sometimes I have to open it up and line it up a few times before it works. It does the job once you snap it in place if you have the bag lined up perfectly and you hold your tongue just right.
Shelly Dunn : It seals...and that's about it

Meghan Dunigan : LOVE!!!!!
LOVE!!! I wanted to buy bulk food, now that I’m eating healthier. But I did not enjoy not having portion sizes freezer burned meat or having to thaw out entire packages just to get one portion out. This just came in and I’ve already done 10lbs of chicken in a mater of 10 mins. The buttons are pretty self explanatory, I didn’t even read the directions. You can see where the sealer is and there’s a spot that the vacuum seal area. You press the seal button if you have to seal one side and then insert the product in the pocket and put the other side into the vacuum seal area, close both sides till you hear the click then press vacuum seal and it with vacuum the area and seal it in like 30 seconds. If you notice it taking longer than that, then it can’t suck out all the air( there’s probably a crease) just press the stop button, adjust the close the lid again and vacuum. SUPER EASY. Not to loud, I was still able to hold a conversation with someone over the phone.
CharlesD : My Very First Food Vacuum Sealer -
After doing much research on food vacuum machines I've noticed a few things.
First, machine size really doesn't seem to matter. The larger size machines have space to accommodate a storage compartment for the sealer bags and a bag cutter. But they are all basically a vacuum pump, a sealing chamber and a metal strip that seals the bags.
Neither of these features really matters to me. Especially when it can add and additional $50-$100 to the price. All I was interested in was a well made machine, easy to use, uncomplicated operation and a form factor that would be easy to store, and not take up a lot of space.
I finally decided on the Entrige Vacuum Sealer Machine. The first thing that got my attention was the price. It was very reasonable. Next was the Star Ratings from owners. Then I read every single review about this particular food sealer.
That's when I decided to give the Entrige Sealer a try.
I am extremely happy with the food sealer. I've been vacuum sealing food for the past two days and the machine works flawlessly. The buttons are well labeled and operation is almost intuitive.
I would absolutely recommend the entire Vacuum Sealer.
catwop-puss : suction...really suck the air out...dry only must read. foodsaver v entirge
it seem to work well bags ...if it lasts 7yr then name brand is gone... doesnt do wet well. does dry great.
so bought 1 of each... for most your needs the entirge the best, it has sensors the foodsaver doesnt have... and you can select gentile over the full compress and the vacuum stays on while sealing to keep it tighter foodsavers doesnt... foodsaver has better bags thicker bags... they also have off brand bags that are great...entrige bags are to thin. the entrige doesnt do wet as well but if you on a table it will do wet better... with a little thoughtful prep. less moving parts on the entrige... foodsaver has a more robust vacuum chamber more durable, but both motors probably last the same. egtrig is cheaper and you can buy cheap replacement foam if your ruin your vacuum chamber. 30-40$-160$+ cheaper then foodsaver. more functions. food saver charges shipping it use warrenty 30$. id say just get the entrige unless your buying for the wet bay that foodsaver has. my foodsaver came new from amazon with scuff marks on an undamaged box...
