Can the weight lock function be turned off?

Answer: I haven't found a way to turn it off.

will be this scale good for measure the trigger pull weight of an air rifle?

Is this item water proof or water resistant?

Answer: No. Mine got wet and within 1 month the measuring tape is rusted as well as the battery connections. Once dry the display still works but I have not tested it since.

Can't get it to beep and lock. I lift a propane cylinder of about 35 lbs and wait, but no beep and. no measurement! It is turned on and set to lbs.

this is a great scale, the ONLY bad thing about it is that occasionally it is not accurate, but do not worry it only changes the weight rarely and when it does it is only by like one filth of a pound, i recommend you do not use it if you are doing a competition, but if you want to know how much a fish weighs, this is great, and it is easy to use and even your kids can use it! i recommend that you buy it.

I bought this as a Christmas present. When the recipient opened the present, the scale worked. Now that it is almost summer, the recipient tried to use it while fishing. The scale does not turn on at all. Replacing the batteries does not fix the problem. Very disappointed that this did not work after only a few months in storage.

We use this to weigh our little one every few days to make sure he is growing well. It is accurate and easy to use. The feature where you can zero it out is great, and it's versatile since you can also use it to weigh animal feed, fish, or pretty much whatever! So far it's holding up great and I think we will get many years of use out of it.

I like liked how easy it is to use and the price. The only issue is the display is hard to read even with the backlit display. I have to flash a light on the display in order to see it. Making it inconvenient. Update: picked it up today to check my mountain bike tire and the display does not work at all. Do not waste your money.

Only used the scale one time after I bought it. Was a couple months before I used it the first time. The next time I used it, it didn’t work. Replaced the batteries but no go. Wish I could return it but they say I can’t since I have had it over one month.
Not sure all are bad but I got a defective one. Be warned, you may have problems.

I’ve been using this to weigh expended brass cartridges for work and I like it so far. I’m not too concerned about pinpoint accuracy but I did test this with 10, 20, and 45lbs weights and all the readings came within .03lbs which was honestly surprising.
•I’ve weighed items up to 80lbs and the scale handles it well. The hardware seems sturdy and durable enough for the 110lbs it’s rated for.
•The hold feature is convenient for what I’m using it for, but if you want to add weight to a hanging load it would not be ideal as you would have to drop the load and reset the scale for every addition you make.
•I have no use for the tape measure but it’s there. You can pull it out and it auto retracts when you let go.

I'm not at all pleased with this product. Have only managed to weigh 2 fish with it. It seemed to work well the first time I used it. The second time it would not turn on so I thought that I hadn't turned it off and auto off feature had not worked. Next time new batteries and worked (came on) initially but after 20 min I tried to weigh a fish and it would not work. Batteries tested full charge. Continued attempts have proved to be a waste of time. Unable to reach support site. Buy a better one!

Purchased in late May 2020. It’s been used only three times since. Tried using it again yesterday and scale was dead. Replaced batteries and it works again. Batteries were brand new when I first got the scale. This is disappointing.

Another issue is the how fast the scale goes to sleep. I tried to weigh a fish by trying to hook it under the gills. The scale goes to sleep within 15-20 seconds of turning on. This is a pain to deal with. I don’t recommend this scale.

Have to take into account that this thing is only 9 bucks. Keeping that in mind, it is quite accurate once you get anything of a couple of ounces or more on it. I was able to determine that with items of known weight. However, it would register zero on very light objects such as a canvas bag I was trying to use to weigh items in. So, although the scale measures down to .00 of whatever unit you use, I would not rely on it for anything really critical of very light weight. Easy to read display is helpful. It arrived with dead batteries, so if you get a unit which is DOA, check for that first. ADDENDA 8/11/19: this scale is apprently killing batteries! It came with dead batteries in it so I replaced those with new ones, being sure to turn it off after use. Next time I tried to use it, those batteries were dead also! So now I am removing the batteries from it after each use.

This unit is perfect for weighing your grill's propane tank to find out how much is left. Tanks are stamped with their empty (tare) weight. This scale's hook fits all of the tanks I've used.
