Answer: No. Mine got wet and within 1 month the measuring tape is rusted as well as the battery connections. Once dry the display still works but I have not tested it since.

Worked great the first time. Put it on the shelf for a few weeks and now all I get is a blue screen. New batteries, same result. Unimpressed.

The four times I actually used it,it worked great.The fifth time never happened as the screen went completely blank and no longer worked.I now have a pretty,blue lighted screen with a tape measure attached to it.

The scale reads out numbers when you pull on it but when you hang a fish from it nothing. Also should have a sharp point on the hook where you hang the fish so it has something to catch on. It’s just flat so very difficult to get the hook to stay in the fish’s mouth. Not happy with this product.

Well it’s been less than 2 months and my unit doesn’t work at all.
I’ve been using it for fishing, I keep it indoors and take it on the boat when I go out. I keep it in a zip lock bag to make sure it stays dry. It was working fine until one day it would light up and beep but not display any numbers. I keep trying it every few days to see if it might miraculously work again, but now it won’t even power on.

Have to take into account that this thing is only 9 bucks. Keeping that in mind, it is quite accurate once you get anything of a couple of ounces or more on it. I was able to determine that with items of known weight. However, it would register zero on very light objects such as a canvas bag I was trying to use to weigh items in. So, although the scale measures down to .00 of whatever unit you use, I would not rely on it for anything really critical of very light weight. Easy to read display is helpful. It arrived with dead batteries, so if you get a unit which is DOA, check for that first. ADDENDA 8/11/19: this scale is apprently killing batteries! It came with dead batteries in it so I replaced those with new ones, being sure to turn it off after use. Next time I tried to use it, those batteries were dead also! So now I am removing the batteries from it after each use.

This thing is nearly worthless for repetitive or continuous measurements. If you only want to take one reading and then reset I suppose you might find it useful. I'd send it back but for the price it's hardly worth the effort.

The auto-off switch is really handy to save battery power. The "tare" (re-zero) function is a good feature, but I have noticed that the button needs to be pressed down longer as the battery life goes down. Uses 1 AA battery. Have been using it for about a month now and have not needed to change the battery yet. For the price, it is an excellent value!

Purchased this for in my barn to weigh horse feed, as I figured a digital scale with a rare function would be best. But when adding feed, if you hesitate for a split second the scale goes into “hold” and will not calculate anything else you add or remove.
Not sure how accurate it is either. I’ve been using my kitchen scale for some time now, and the bucket I put the feed into registers at 13oz while on this scale, it registers as 1lb 3oz. Accuracy is pretty imperative for my purpose..
