Reviews show different products? I can’t find the model shown on the plussino web site? Is this a scam?

Answer: It's not a scam. I purchased the net pictured on 7/16 and received the product quickly and without any issues.

What is the width of the hoop? It can't be 5.9" as listed.

Is the swivel secure? I have read that it comes out easily in other brands.

Answer: Yes it is secure. It has an anchor point on the handle and the swivel-snap looks heavy duty.

How deep is the net?

Answer: Around 11"

Does the netting material stiffen in cold water? I've got one that in cold water stiffens so much it doesn't "pocket" so fish just flop out.

Answer: No the net seems heavier than normal.

What is the maximum weight of fish that can be netted?

Answer: I would guess about 20, maybe 30 pounds from the looks of this net...but I wouldn’t know for sure.

How are the magnetic release parts installed?

Answer: Could be bubble gum, no 1st hand knowledge but they stay set in there very well

Anybody have the issue with holes being too big in the bottom and fish swimming out?

Answer: I had a Grayling fall out between the holes at the very bottom. It was probably about 10 inches long, but slender. This slippage did cause my fly to come out from its mouth, so I lost it.

Answer: Slime rockets (smaller trout) can slip right through the larger gauge rubber netting, I’d recommend the mesh net if you’re going to be creek fishing

Answer: Yes it’s very strong!

Is the rubber net firm or soft?

Answer: I would say it’s on the softer side... it’s definitely not stiff... and lays flat

I bought this because of the price, and for the price it is a good value. My only gripe (and it is a big one) is that the holes in the net are too large for 8” or smaller trout. So while you can net the trout, you run the risk of the trout sliding out between the holes in the silicone. In one case it snapped my tippet because the trout went in the net and out the bottom. I’ll keep it for when I take friends fishing, but I don’t know why they didn’t just make the entire net out of smaller holes.

I too was apprehensive about buying a rubber net but was pleasantly surprised on how sturdy it is. My last net fell prey to mice I expect this will fair much better. The magnet is stronger than I thought it would be also. Overall very well bought.

This is an excellent net for fly fishing. The soft silicone netting prevented and scratching, tangling, or other damage to the fish. It's pretty durable and has a very useful strap that you can connect to your belt and access it pretty quickly. My favorite part is actually the super elegant wooden frame and lacquered finish.

Received this net last week and used it this weekend. It's lightweight and sturdy, the rubber mesh is good quality, and the magnet release works well. My big issue is the size of the holes in the bottom of the net. Small wild trout fall right through the holes, creating all kinds of issues with flies getting tangled and fish flopping about. Impossible to get a picture of the smaller fish because they kept falling through the bottom. I wish I had bought a different net because I like to fish backcountry California streams with wild fish that run on the smaller size. It will be fine for my Montana trip next week, but I am going to have to buy a different net for closer to home.

This net is high quality and a great price! t's both lightweight and very durable. I've been fishing with it and it can easily handle trout, bluegill, bass, and even carp. The net is amazing, it’s the perfect size for almost any fish while you’re fly fishing, and for other types of lake fishing, it can easily fit anything that is smaller than 30 inches and the magnetic hook is amazing, you can just pull the net off of your belt, land a fish and return it, and then put the end of the net near your waist again and the magnet hooks it to your belt again. It’s more than worth it if you’re an avid fisherman or just someone who enjoys it occasionally, the net is hook resistant and won’t get stuck in the net after you unhook your fish. 10/10 would recommend buying this net.

This net is very lightweight and has a great magnetic clip system to put behind your back while not in use. The magnet on this clip is very powerful and if you were to buy just the clip at your local fly shop you'd pay a lot more.

Man, this net is pretty awesome. I stumbled across this brand while I was trying to assemble some fishing gear on the cheap. I’m in my 40s, never been a huge fisherman, but thought it would be a fun thing to take up with my boys. So I bought a spinning rod/reel combo from these guys and was very impressed.

So I bought this net to go along with it. I was a little apprehensive about the silicone netting but it’s really cool. It seems quite strong and since it can’t absorb any lake/river water, it won’t stink. That’s why it just lives in the back of my Expedition now (see pic).

The frame of the net is a very nice wood grain almost like a vintage Chris Craft boat. You could literally hang it on your wall as a decoration.

I’m not a fly fisherman (yet?) so I haven’t used the magnetic release system but that seems like a nice thing to have. Hang it from your belt loop and grab it when you need it. The magnet releases and you have all the slack you need with it still attached.

As for size, think of a racquetball racket. Great purchase overall. No complaints.

Very sturdy, well made net. I was surprised by the material of the actual netting. Took me a little to get use to, but now I love it. It comes with a very strong magnet to keep it close to your body, but when it's time to use, just a tug and it releases. I like that it has a lanyard attachment.

First trout net and definitely well worth the cost! It’s laminate wood with nicely sown netting. It comes with a stretchy cord attached out of the box but the surprise is the magnetic clip with carabiner clip. It makes it perfect for quickly detaching from a vest/backpack when needed.

The net is really nice. There was a problem with the order, the magnetic release was missing, but Plusinno got on it right away and took care of me.
