Reviews show different products? I can’t find the model shown on the plussino web site? Is this a scam?

Answer: It's not a scam. I purchased the net pictured on 7/16 and received the product quickly and without any issues.

What is the width of the hoop? It can't be 5.9" as listed.

Is the swivel secure? I have read that it comes out easily in other brands.

Answer: Yes it is secure. It has an anchor point on the handle and the swivel-snap looks heavy duty.

How deep is the net?

Answer: Around 11"

Does the netting material stiffen in cold water? I've got one that in cold water stiffens so much it doesn't "pocket" so fish just flop out.

Answer: No the net seems heavier than normal.

What is the maximum weight of fish that can be netted?

Answer: I would guess about 20, maybe 30 pounds from the looks of this net...but I wouldn’t know for sure.

How are the magnetic release parts installed?

Answer: Could be bubble gum, no 1st hand knowledge but they stay set in there very well

Anybody have the issue with holes being too big in the bottom and fish swimming out?

Answer: I had a Grayling fall out between the holes at the very bottom. It was probably about 10 inches long, but slender. This slippage did cause my fly to come out from its mouth, so I lost it.

Answer: Slime rockets (smaller trout) can slip right through the larger gauge rubber netting, I’d recommend the mesh net if you’re going to be creek fishing

Answer: Yes it’s very strong!

Answer: I would say it’s on the softer side... it’s definitely not stiff... and lays flat

Sharp looking net. The wood is well done and makes it look like a more expensive piece of equipment. I like the fact that the net is nylon so that it doesn’t absorb the scent of the fish or water. I’m not a fly fisherman but this looks like it will work for netting a good size fish in whatever fresh water body of water you are.

Man, this net is pretty awesome. I stumbled across this brand while I was trying to assemble some fishing gear on the cheap. I’m in my 40s, never been a huge fisherman, but thought it would be a fun thing to take up with my boys. So I bought a spinning rod/reel combo from these guys and was very impressed.

So I bought this net to go along with it. I was a little apprehensive about the silicone netting but it’s really cool. It seems quite strong and since it can’t absorb any lake/river water, it won’t stink. That’s why it just lives in the back of my Expedition now (see pic).

The frame of the net is a very nice wood grain almost like a vintage Chris Craft boat. You could literally hang it on your wall as a decoration.

I’m not a fly fisherman (yet?) so I haven’t used the magnetic release system but that seems like a nice thing to have. Hang it from your belt loop and grab it when you need it. The magnet releases and you have all the slack you need with it still attached.

As for size, think of a racquetball racket. Great purchase overall. No complaints.

This net is very lightweight and has a great magnetic clip system to put behind your back while not in use. The magnet on this clip is very powerful and if you were to buy just the clip at your local fly shop you'd pay a lot more.

This net is high quality and a great price! t's both lightweight and very durable. I've been fishing with it and it can easily handle trout, bluegill, bass, and even carp. This net is great, in that it has rubber that's better when landing fish and also prevents hooks of any size getting stuck in the netting which I've had with other nets I've used. Love the strong magnet release setup on this net, but the extra bonus that I really like is that the magnet release has a coiled cable to connect the magnet clip to the net. Last net I had didn't have that and I lost my net in the thick bushes somewhere next to the river.... Net is sturdy and appears to be well made.

The net is a very nice sturdy net. I do like the curved handle. The only thing I will say is that the netting itself was not what I expected and if u are using a lure with treble hooks it will get tangled a bit. More of a single hook type bet. Very nice and I do like it.

Like the description says, this is definitely lightweight. Shouldnt be used for heavy fishing though but it worked well catching plenty of trout and small-medium bass. Net did not get damaged from the hooks and has plenty of room to scoop up most fish. Comes with a cool little quick release caribiner clip too.

Received this net last week and used it this weekend. It's lightweight and sturdy, the rubber mesh is good quality, and the magnet release works well. My big issue is the size of the holes in the bottom of the net. Small wild trout fall right through the holes, creating all kinds of issues with flies getting tangled and fish flopping about. Impossible to get a picture of the smaller fish because they kept falling through the bottom. I wish I had bought a different net because I like to fish backcountry California streams with wild fish that run on the smaller size. It will be fine for my Montana trip next week, but I am going to have to buy a different net for closer to home.

This is an excellent net for fly fishing. The soft silicone netting prevented and scratching, tangling, or other damage to the fish. It's pretty durable and has a very useful strap that you can connect to your belt and access it pretty quickly. My favorite part is actually the super elegant wooden frame and lacquered finish.

I received this net as a christmas gift. I gave this a one star review not based off the product itself but due to the falsely advertised net. The main advert notes this as a “soft rubber” net and what I received was nylon. I noticed others have received the soft rubber version but I am seriously disappointed that I received nylon. Yes, the gift buyer could have done extra research and made sure it was soft rubber but the advertised specifications should reflect the shipped product. Returning this and quite disappointed.

I have a fishing lodge and am very impressed with this net. I have the straight handled version and the construction of this net is impressive. The webbing is soft rubber and tangle free. I practise catch and release and this net is a must have. It does not tangle your catch and is compact allowing you to keep this on your wading belt giving you easy access on the stream. One of the beat attributes is the magnetic release. Simple pull on the lanyard and the net releases when you need it but is strong enough not to pull loose while you are fishing or walking through wooded areas to get to your favorite spot. It is reasonably priced and the quality is comparable or superior to other nets costing 3 times the price. It is also ideal for use in a canoe, boat or kayak. I highly recommend this net to all as this allows you to safely release those fish you may not want to keep so they can be there for all to enjoy.
