Answer: Yes, I recommend the 4000. I fish the banks for red snapper up to 20 pounds.

Answer: I would recommend the 4000 since it has 29lbs of drag and as more line capacity with heavier line.. and fits perfect on surf rod type set ups. I have 3 the 4000 3000 and 2000 reviews on YouTube

This reel is terrible, the main barrings are open barrings like another Chinese garbage reel i bought at the same time from a different company here on amazon(probably from the same factory). They both locked up on the second day on the water. This is, not a saltwater reel, borderline false advertisement.

The replacement spinning reel that I got works with no flaws and it seems that is made to high standards!
