I have a small 5ft rod that i use for bluegill. How big is this reel?

In which country was this made?

Answer: I’m sure China but they are good for the price, when they break toss them. I have found them for less than 10 bucks last year, I own 7 or 8. Perfect dock type fishing not really casting.

Answer: I am sorry I do not have that information. We have opened the item and tossed out the box, no where on the item does it show where it was made.

Answer: It says Japan right in the description.

Great little reel for the price!

Race : Great Backpacking Reel

I think this reel excels as a backpacking/backcountry reel. It is about as light as they come, nice and compact, and works perfectly well. I’ve really abused mine for the last few years, and it has held up great. The paint is wearing off where it’s been scraped against trees and rocks, dropped and banged up. Still chugs along.

I paired this with a no-name collapsible, telescoping rod, and it was the perfect package for backpacking. I also kept it in the back of my car at all times, just in case I saw some water worth fishing.

For $20, you will definitely get your money’s worth. It isn’t the smoothest or prettiest reel out there, but it’s an excellent ultralight reel that you won’t feel bad abusing. If it breaks, I’ll buy another just like it as a replacement.
