Does this reel has Shimano Super Slow 10 ?

Answer: No . this reel has slow 5 . The shimano Aero Technium 10000 xsc has super slow 10

Im not sure which reel to get the ultegra ci4 xtc 14000 or 5000? i want to cast far with 20lb braid and 3 oz weights. its 10ft carp rod.

Answer: I have 2 of the 14000 and 1 of the 5000. I use the two 14000 units on my surf sand spikes when I want to cast relax under the umbrella with a cooler with cut or live bait. IF I want to go for a walk down the beach to the inlet and cast some plugs, I take my 9 foot tiralejo surf rod with the smaller and lighter 5000. Both would be a great choice. If you are more into casting, jigging, plugging, get the 5000. If you are more into chucking live / cut bait long distances and waiting for Mr. Red or a shark to come along, get the 14000.

Answer: 5000 would be best. The 5000 will fit 300 yards of 30lb braid.

Answer: This reel is not designed to be dunked under water or reeled under water. I would strongly suggest you wash the reel with soap and water after use in saltwater. good luck

Answer: Yes, this reel is sealed. I would not purposely keep it under water but it can take a dunking or more and operate flawlessly.

Answer: It's not a waterproof reel although it's somewhat water resistant.

What’s the difference of the offshore model to this ci414000xtc

Answer: The CI1400xtc is the newest model, but if there is another difference you might want to call customer service at 1-877-577-0600 and they could answer any question you might have.

does this reel come with the spool reducers?

Answer: It does, but why use spool reducers. The point of these reels is to load them up with a ton of braid or mono and cast far. Once out, you might need to have another 100 or 200 yards depending on what you catch. If you want to use spool reducers, you might consider a Shimano Socoro or something instead.

I used Penns SS 9500 for more than 15 years (I take care off my stuff). They were great reels, but very heavy. After reading reviews about the Shimano 14000 decided to buy two of them. A-m-a-z-i-n-g reels! Strong as the old fashion Penns SS 9500 (when they were made in USA, not china) and light, very light. Rather buy Japanese then chinese. Anyway Shimano is a great brand.

Got this reel to replace my shimano long cast lc after more than 10 years old got some diawa torments 5500 but there not up to the job on big waters where casting far is the difference between catching and blanking the ci4 14000 are Gr8t nice looking and should b up to the job iv got centery 13ft rods 3.75lb test curve rods going linear fisheries next week so can put these reels to the test if any one is looking for a gd big pit reel these are the ones for u the line lay out it brilliant give em 5 Star s but iv not use them as yet!!!!! I have used them now so just to say yes yes these reels are Gr8t better than I thought they would b main feature the line lay is the best comes off the spool nice with the big spools 5 Star you won't go far wrong with a set of these silly smooth ect I love em
