Answer: This my second one works great for crawdads and shrimp

How large are the entrance holes?

Answer: about quarter inch. too large for really small bait fish. the unit broke where pole attaches to net the first day. can't return it. oh well live and learn

How much weight can it hold

Answer: Not sure if I know what you mean but you could add a few lead weights if you needed to make the net sink in moving water, the frame is made of wire similar to a clothes hanger, netting is cloth like a dip net, for bait you only need a few small pieces of bread balled up.

What is the red ring that came inside the package

Answer: Plastic ring is for thing at the top end of tether line for anchoring to bank or hooking to boat I believe. Also could be used for float tie probably as well as something to hold besides loose line.

Arrived with mesh tearing away at zipper stitching at the top, very light retrieving line and plastic ring. Haven't found means to attach these securely, no instructions or obvious attachment points to go by.

Not too happy with it. It looks and feels very poorly done The material is very weak and the whole thing is very simple I guess for 10$ also is very Flimpsy. The line that it came with comes apart right away wouldn't use it do put it in water on the description and the pictures it looks a lot better put together thinking of returning it.

A lot smaller than it looks on Amazon. Also the holes do not open up uniformly into the unit. How to use some additional zip ties to hold it all together once it’s opened and to keep the holes open enough for critters to get in. Would not buy again. Addendum: didn't last long; material is cheap allowing large fish to break through and ultimately destroyed the netting.

I don't typically write too many reviews but I wanted to make sure nobody else gets tricked into buying this thing. You will open it up and go, "what on earth is this?" It's much smaller than expected, looks like if you handle it it's going to fall apart. It has zip ties holding it together and in my case the extremely cheap zipper did not work. One of the worst products I have ever purchased.

I’ve bought these traps before but we were at the beach and my son forgot to bring them. I selected this because it was the only amazon option that would arrive that week. However it’s much smaller than our other similar traps. This made it harder to trap bigger crabs. Also the crabs were literally ripping through the netting by days end. It worked for what we needed it for but honestly this trap will not last long and the size could be better.
