This product is as food as the brand names . We seal our fish that we catch during our deep sea fishing trips at the motel and we trust in this beamed of bags to provide long seals in our freezer at home. If your seal doesn't hold its not due to the bags its due to your sealer so you may want to double heat treat seal your bags. We don't have any trouble keeping our bags sealed after freezing them using these bags.
