Answer: They’ll get caught, but not too bad. You’d need a rubber net to completely avoid getting them caught, but those are too heavy in my opinion. I wish I’d bought the Promar years ago.

Answer: The first two numbers of the measurement are the length and width of the hoop diameter. The 3rd number is the depth of the bag. AxBxC where A is length, B is width, C is depth.

I've got the Large version for my 32"x27" salmon net and it fit just perfect. The net looks well made and the price is right. It is deep enough to hold a large salmon no doubt about it. The netting is rubberized (coated nylon), knot free, and promises to be less tangle prone and gentler on the fish, but this i will see once i put it to use this spring. The mesh holes are smaller compared to my old nylon net, I am hoping that won't make it more difficult to move the net in the water. Overall the net will be a bit heavier than before but other advantages makes this a much better option especially for releasing fish as I don't always keep the salmon i catch. Will update this review for actual performance and long term durability.

I bought a new Frabil 8510 stowable net for my little Deep V aluminum bass boat. I fish northern MN for pike and needed a new net that would stow easy and yet handle big fish. The 8510 was a perfect frame size for my boat but the net on it was junk. I replaced it right away with this net that not only is heavier quality netting but also much deeper and has a hemmed circular bottom rather than the short bottomed metal ring closure on the stock one. A great upgrade and one I would highly recommend!

J'avais une grande puise que j'ai utilisé quelques fois seulement pour la pêche au saumon. Le filet de cette puise ne convenait plus aux nouvelles normes du "catch & release". En effet les mailles du filet étaient très grandes et risquaient de blesser sérieusement le poisson lors de la prise. Le nouveau filet a des mailles plus petites recouvertes de caoutchouc.

Bought the large and it installed flawlessly on my Gibbs delta salmon net with a 26x30 tear drop hoop!!! Good quality and much nicer than a standard net. The dipped rubber mesh nets help with hooks not tangling in my net. Well worth the 2week wait for shipping. Mind you I also live in the middle of nowhere and I’m sure it would’ve been here sooner had I live in a big city.

Purchased this net to replace the string net on the frame of my handheld net I use for kayak fishing. The net is about 25" deep from the frame to the bottom. The width of the frame is about 14" and the length about 17". I am hoping to spend less time getting my hooks out of the net after scooping up a fish than with the old string net. After I take it fishing I'll let you know how it went.

while trying to get the hook and fish fins unstuck from my net!! I ordered this and its a bit big but i like that and was super easy to take out the two screws on the net, slip old netting off and slip this one on.
Used it a few times and it's AWESOME!! Fish, Fish Fins and hooks do NOT get caught in this netting and it does soften up after few uses and it's 100% worth getting rid of old netting for this!!!

This net was easy to install on my hoop. It is so much lighter and has much less resistance in the water than the old knotted net. It is deep enough for netting large salmon without being ridiculous like some I have seen.
