How many feet does the pole extent out to?

Answer: with it fully extended its 8 1/2 feet. my only complaint is its net is on the small size and its only rated for 5 lbs. max. great for plant size trout , but , any bigger find a different net

Answer: This net is intended as a long reach net . There are faster shorter nets but if you need the added reach, this is your net. If you don't need the reach, I would keep looking. Thx.

Answer: I believe it extends to 9 ft. I’ve also seen listings that state 8.5 ft. Either way, it gets out there!

How do I tighten the handle?

Answer: Just hold the section above and twist the section you want to tighten.

Answer: THE EGO REACH USES A SIMPLE TWIST LOCK SUCH AS FOUND ON EXTENSION POLES FOR PAINTING.. You hold the second section and twist the net section to right to unlock. Extend the net section to desired length and twist net section to left to lock. Do Not over tighten, just a snug twist. Works Great.

How much does this net weigh?

Answer: I don't know the exact weight, but it does not feel much heavier than the Jenko when fully extended. It is an awesome net for crappie.

Would this be good for larger fish? Catfish? Other "big game" species?

Answer: i have used it to land catfish and hybrid strippers while crappie fishing, but am careful when I lift them into the boat. Another net might be better for you if larger fish are your primary target.

Answer: At one time, I remember seeing that the crappie net was for fish weighing up to a maximum of 5 lbs. I'd choose another net if you are expecting larger fish, as I would imagine you could damage this lighter net.

Answer: Maybe up to 40lb would work ok. But I purchased mine for fishing off a pontoon boat for bass and crappie

Answer: 3/8".....this net is great just can't use it on big fish. anything more than 5 lbs you need a different net. it extends 3 lengths. I've used it off a bridge to net trout I caught. hope this helps

Answer: It's very tiny and picks up just about everything. The only thing that goes through it, is dirt that collects on the bottom of the pool, which needs to be vacuumed out.

HOW LONG IS THE HANDLE?

Answer: Closed the net and handle is 4feet 6inches. Fully extended net and handle is 8feet 9inches. This is a great net.

Answer: The total "reach" is 8' 6" fully extended (with a 5lb weight limit at that extension). Closed up it's probably just under 5' (including net). I hope that helps. I actually think it's very good except for the relatively small weight limit.

My husband wanted the net for the reach. It came in a clear plastic wrap that shows the work what you ordered. Glad no one wanted a net today.
One of the loops on the net is broken. Looks pinched into.
He says he will keep it and use a zip tie or something on it. I would have sent it back.
The reach is as advertised. The rest is disappointing.

I didn't realize how thin the net frame would be until I received it. The handle is nice and long, exactly what I wanted, but the net frame doesn't seem too strong... I guess time will tell. I'll be a bit worried if I get a 5lb trout. However, for the price, I can't expect the world. Ultimately, it should work out better then what I was using... looking forward to the long handle where I can net fish 10ft away from the boat and downrigger cable.

Excellent product but heavy to use at full extension with one hand. I cut a couple pieces of a pool noodle and zipped tied them around the handle so if I dropped it it would float.

The hoop is flimsy to say the least, it is 1/8 diameter wire, if you put one pound of pressure on the rim totally bends. The extension pole is OK.

This is the third one i've had. I also had the rubber but it didn't last very long. With this net, the hooks get tangled in the mesh very often. And i'm using 1/32nd heads too. Ripped a couple loops trying to get them untangled. After this one wears out, i wont buy another.

I purchased this net in order to solve a problem experienced with nets built of more traditional materials/methods. I wanted to eliminate the net becoming hopeless entangled upon catching a lively, thrashing catfish. This rubber based net appeared to solve the problem until I used it to haul in a five pounder. As it thrashed, it actually broke several of the net's strands. While I'm still using this net, my confidence that it will hold up over time is diminished. Still and all, I believe this product would serve bass and panfish anglers quite well - so long as the quarry is bereft of sharp teeth or spines as the catfish and gar possess. I do find this net's extensibility very useful.
