What's the inside diameter of the tube?

Answer: Don't know precisely but I would say 1 1/2" vertically, 2-2 1/2" horizontally. Great investment for extra smoke flavor. With the tube extended, provides hours of smoke. Hope this helps

Looks like it costs almost 2 times the norm. Why wouldnt you just by it at a dealer for 40 bucks?

Answer: Shipping and Amazon fees are killer. if you have a local dealer and feel like driving there that would be the best option.

Does these use regular pellets

Answer: Any pellet will work.

My tube didn’t come with pellets or a box? Every vendor that offers it, offers it that way. That’s suspicious. Good way for someone to get free pellet

Answer: Funny you said that because ours didn't come with pellets either, even though I believe it offered free pellets. We had to order our own pellets from Amazon. We do love this tube and have used it to smoke many fine meats and fish.

Answer: Mine did not come with pellets either. I feel this is a bad description and I feel cheated as a buyer. The smoke tube is legit but at the time, it was cheaper elsewhere as it did not come with pellets as advertised. If I hadn’t needed them as gifts, I would have returned them and gotten from another vendor.

This does a much better job of distributing smoke flavor than the one which came with our smoker. Just be sure, after igniting, there is no fire or it may catch your meat on fire as well and heat up your smoker more than you need.

We burned thru three Trager grills not to mention had to pay to fix each of them multiple times, as well as warranty parts. Tragers are just not built to be used every day in a commercial restaurant. I laugh every time I think about it, but this inexpensive 18'' tube smoker imparts more smoke flavor. I can cold smoke cheese or nuts in about 5 minutes. I use it to give pork butts, and ribs a deep smoke flavor before fully cooking them in an oven where I have more control of time and temp. I used to use a large bag of pellets in 2 days with the Trager, now a bag of pellets lasts almost a month, and the smoke flavor is marinated in the meat, and the flavor goes all the way thru the meat, and not just the pink ring, and bark of the meat. this thing truly rocks!

We have a really nice grill but wanted a way to give our grilled meat a bit of smoke. My brother-in-law has one of these and swears by it. We tried it out and got about five hours of good smoke on one full tube of pellets. You’d need a couple of them to do a long smoke, but it worked great. For the price, it is pretty hard to go wrong here.
