Grippers cant hold onto a fish. As soon as a fish starts to wiggle these grippers open right up and drop them. This makes it really hard to weigh the fish.

perfect for the hobby angler, who are chasing PBs it holds plenty of weight on them and is compact enough to fit into any bag and they wipe down easy when dirty.

Cheap fishing scales , small easy to pack away , tested accuracy on fixed weights, seems to close be enough. Goes up to 35kg / 80bs . Plus built in tape measure ( 1 meter ) all in all should do the job. Good value for the money.

Clip and spring seem very strong yet easy to engage. Spring is thick and cant imagine it weakening over time with proper care. Easily held up a 4 pound bass on my first trip out with it. Maybe an aluminum body would be more durable given the price of this thing, but we'll see how the plastic fares in the 120 degree heat index in Texas.
