Grippers cant hold onto a fish. As soon as a fish starts to wiggle these grippers open right up and drop them. This makes it really hard to weigh the fish.

We weighed a 5lb dumbbell. On this scale it weighed 4lbs. On two other scales it weighed 5.4 lbs. That is way off if you are weighing your catch! I gave it one star because accuracy is important.

Caught a two pound drum and this product couldn’t hold his weight. I assumed a drum lip was just too thin but a largemouth bass would fair better. Today we caught a 7 pound bass and it wouldn’t hold. Bought a new gripper today because this one is terrible.
