Is the white net actually white, or more tan like in the photo?

Answer: I’ve had mine for quite awhile now and it’s kinda dirty since it’s been hanging over my porch rail for a long time but I’m almost positive it was white not tan like in the picture.

Answer: It’s a creamy color. Very off white but I’m not sure I’d call it tan.

Answer: I have my net holding several items , mostly shells and a ships wheel. It would depend on the size of the picture , weight of frame... I would believe it would hold an 8 x 10 plastic or lightweight wooden frame just fine. I would not hang a heavy glass pane frame, even though it would probably hold because if it gets knocked or touched it could topple over.

Update: The new net still has an extremely strong, unpleasant odor. I had to air it out for weeks, and it still smelled funny. Thankfully, only one of the shells was broken this time. However, this one had some fraying of the rope. Also, both of them left a funny residue on my hands. It looked fine when hung on the wall, but because of the fraying, I’m not sure how long it will last. I ended up keeping it because I needed it for the party I was decorating for, but I wouldn’t purchase again.

June 27,2019: I’ve ordered a replacement to see if a new item will change my mind about this product. Currently, I’m really disappointed in this netting. The packaging was already broken and re-taped shut when I opened the box. Also, there was a terrible smell to it, and half the shells were broken. I will update my review when I receive the replacement.

Sturdy and well made. My daughter wanted a beach themed room so we thought it was a cute idea to hold her stuffed lovies. It comes with shells attached but we took those off and used them to decorate a clock for the wall. One small warning - it smells fishy and bad when we first opened the package (im guessing from the shells) but one wash in the washing machine had it clean and fresh smelling. Not negative enough to remove a star but just be aware if you want it for a gift or something that it will smell bad until washed.

Really great fish net! Used for my Toxic Mermaid Halloween costume at work. Won "Most Creative" costume contest. I had bought another net that was simply scrawny and lame. This net was heavy duty with thick string and held together (knotted) well. The ends are held together with string to get kind of a rounded effect. I just undid each end to get a flatter more square look. The shells are a nice touch, but several were broken upon arrival. Oh well. Would buy again!
