Is the net a one handed net to re-attack to magnetic clip when held over your back?

Answer: Not sure. It has a accordion type lanyard that is attached to your vest so if you drop it you won't loose it.

How long is the handle (not including the net) when fully extended for the magnetic nets?

Answer: Handle is between 7 and 8 inches long. Handle and frame are one integral piece and are made of laminated bamboo. Handle does not extend. Magnets are so you can hang net from the back of your fishing vest until needed to land a fish. One magnet attaches to vest other to net. You then pull the net free when landing a fish. Handle and net are plenty long enough to land small to medium sized trout and other fish typically caught fly fishing.

I like this net, and used it for fishing channels. It worked great for that, but having it clipped to my backpack and walking around occasionally would result in the net dropping off because the magnet is not super strong. 1st fish I "caught". Slipped through the larger holes in the bottom of the net, (8" rainbow"). Quick release magnet system's clips do not stay closed. Net became unclipped without my knowing and was gone from back of my vest when I returned to the car. Overall, very unsatisfactory.

The magnetic clip gets my net out of the way and is powerful enough that when you reach back to re-hang it, the magnets quickly snap it back together. I used a zip tie to attach the magnet to the end of my net. Everything about this works well. The rubbery net is a good answer to keep lured from tangling up all the time-a real blessing.
