Drift socks – also called drift anchors - are large parachute-shaped anchors made of ripstop that slow down the boat's movement considerably." Drift socks" work by creating drag in the water, thereby reducing the impact of wind and current on the hull.

No directions how do you rig it?

Answer: The main tether cord is already rigged with plenty of length and with a carabiner at the end which allows the user to tailor the length to his own preference. A second length of cord is provided to attach to the loop at the end of the bag, the length of this cord should be slightly longer than the main tether cord. This allows the dump cord to be pulled prior to retrieving collapsed bag

Answer: I use my rear boat cleat. Carabiner over the end and wrap like a tending line. Drop off back to control trolling speed for fishing. Don’t forget to pull yellow line to dump and pull into boat before using main motor to go somewhere!

KY : Works great, no issues.

I was hesitant given the other reviews, but I just used it today and it worked great. I didn't have any issues with the quality of the drift sock, but the cords tying the carabineer came undone almost immediately. They just need to tie better knots to solve this issue. Other than that, I am pretty happy with this purchase.
