CONS:
• The hook will not fit many luggage handles
• The metal hanger on it is loose and rattles, can’t be tightened

I didn’t start out liking this. Not that I really care about batteries being included, when I get them I usually throw them away anyway, but I only got three instead of 4 batteries. I inserted two of them and the scale did not work. If you look at the pictures you’ll see why; they’ve probably been around since the cultural revolution.

To test this fish/luggage scale (I shall henceforth call it a luggage scale since I don’t catch fish large enough to weigh), I weighed one of my small knapsacks that had some things in it. It weighed 1.310kg (about 2.9 lbs). I added a professional standardizing weight of 500g and re-weighed the knapsack. It weighed 1.810kg, exactly 500g more, exactly the weight I had added. That’s very impressive.

I then went and weighed a suitcase that I had filled with some things. I added weight to it until the luggage/fish scale weighed exactly 25 lbs.

I then brought that to one of my bathroom scales, a very accurate scale that will weigh down to 2 oz. The suitcase weighed exactly 25 lbs.

Note that to weigh the suitcase with the luggage scale, I needed to hang it by the clip that holds the handle onto the suitcase, so that it hung on an angle. It still weighed perfectly.

Pretty impressive and at two at this price, they’re great for keeping around for luggage, fish, whatever.
They’ll also make a great gift, 2 in fact, but you’ll have to provide a nice box; these come in a plastic zip bag.

Recommended, based on the price, I’m giving it 5 stars for value!

Nila86 : Not very accurate

Boyfriend says although it’s easy to use, and convenient. It’s not very accurate. If your wanting to get an exact weight. He has another one for tournaments and this one was off. Even tho not by much, depending on what and how your wanting to use it.

All markings are in what I assume Japanese. Wasted money, no where did it have an option to choose or even say it was in another language. Makes them pointless for us.
