Product reviews of PLUSINNO Floating Fishing Net, Rubber Coated Fish Landing Net - Easy Catch and Release, Foldable Telescopic Fishing Net for Freshwater or Saltwater
rfl : Great Fishing Net
I love how this fishing net folds up, and the net has a great construction to it. This net fits right into my Plano hip-roof tackle box. I haven't caught any fish yet, so I haven't had a chance to actually use it. The one I got has a handle that telescopes out, and I love that feature. If you're going to go fishing, this net is perfect for you.
Tyler : Awesome Kayak fishing net!
I was looking for a net for fishing from my Kayak and this one did not disappoint. I wasn't originally looking for a collapsible, but I'm glad that I got one. This new folds up to a size where I can easily store it in my dry storage or on the side of my seat--out of the way. I don't always need a net, so it's good to be able to have one that's not sticking out the back of my rod holder for my lines to get tangled on.
This net is easy to fold and extend. The actual net portion is made of some kind of rubber, which IMO is better than rope as it will not get easily tangled. The opening is big enough to land a good size sized fish. I expect no issues with the trout, redfish, & striper I catch. The net is light, and while I have not tested it, it is supposed to float which is a big bonus on the kayak.
Tim : Sturdy and beautiful looking net!
I bought a net similar to this in the past, and let me tell you, this floating net is one of the best I've used. I love the signature carbon fiber design. It helps it stand out from the other nets on the market. I dropped this thing twice when scooping up my catch, and without the floats, this thing would've been a goner. Only downside, is I wish it also had a wrist strap. I understand thats what the floats are for, but who doesn't want a nice wrist strap as well.
Amanda Bonnett : Light weight and durable.
Folds up tight and unfolds easy. Love how it floats, so you can tie to your waist for easy grab while your waiding water fly fishing also there is a clip that clips to your belt helps to free up hands and the light weight freatuer really helps when you have a hike to the fishing spot. The fold feature is great while packing up gear really saves room. The net has a great Teflon coat on it so it does not hold the water and drys quickly so reduces dripping. It's nice to have an equal amount of durability and weight thats hard to find but there is a great clip, with one thumb i have learned to close it with one hand and a flip. All in all im glad for the find and great time to find it with the yearly trout drop. I've never been seared wrong by PLUSINNO yet. Thanks guys!
Brian Burris : Nice quality fishing for an affordable price!
Light weight, sturdy, telescoping fishing net. Has a nice design and locking mechanism, net itself is very deep and made of flexible plastic mesh like you would find on a trout net. Handle feels to be made of aluminum and has a belt clip. Haven't landed any fish big enough to warrant using the net, but would feel very confident scooping up anything up to 10 to 15 lbs with this net, maybe even larger with no problem. That the net floats is a plus as well.
Aaron Anderson : Great net after some practice
I was originally planning on giving this 3 out of 4 stars as I had the same issue a others posted about it being difficult to open or closed due to thr separate locking mechanisms.
After some practice you can open and close this easily with one hand (see video). I wish they gave this hint as directions as no one wants to fumble opening a net when a fish is on.
Net is a little heavier than I expected but I'm guessing its due to the hard plastic. This will work great for kayak or camp fishing but would not survive being your main net. Its a little small for large pike or even normal musky but its great for what its used for.
Caleb M. : This is a pretty nice little net!
In all fairness I haven't actually pulled a fish in yet, hopefully this weekend at which point I'll update this.
Since I wrote a book below haha, the TL;DR version is: If you're a trout/bass or other smaller gamefish fisherman, this net should work great for you. It's not going to pull in a Salmon or a Muskie but it feels pretty sturdy and should have no problem with Trout, Bass, Crappie, anything smaller than a 30lb Lake Trout :)
So far, my very first impression when I opened the package was "Holy cow, this thing is tiny" I was worried that it was going to be too small to use for anything but it's actually just folds up pretty nicely. It's a bit smaller than my main net but I'd feel confident in using this for Bass and Trout.
It feels quite strong. The end has a beaded bungee/elastic cord holding the ends together which also allows it to collapse. It seems to hold on strong.
I'm not going to be winning a strong man competition anytime soon but I'm also not a weak person at all. The belt clip on this is so firm that I can't actually make it more more than a maybe 1/4". It will last a long time, but it will likely be difficult to use with the handle fully collapsed.
The handle also seems to be very strong. I got the one with the telescoping handle. It's not a one handed operation at all to open the net and lock the handle in place but once you've got it open it locks in place very well. I can't collapse the handle while it's locked in place which is fantastic
Holy cow, you're still reading this? For the things I didn't like:
It mentions Northerns and Muskie and I just don't think that's going to be a thing in this net. If you're looking for a keeper Muskie, it's not anywhere near big enough. Maybe some smaller Northerns, under 30", maybe even under 20 if they're angry that day. In most lakes in Minnesota anyway a keeper Muskie is 40" in the Metro area and 54" most everywhere else. This net will not do that. It should handle most trout, bass, and other game fish with no problem. It's just not going to land a 30lb Lake Trout or a 55lb Muskie :)
The inside of the net at the top of the handle the net is zip tied to the handle itself. I don't know if this is a problem but it seems like this will probably be the first point of failure for the net. If it does cause my any problems other than me thinking about it, I'll update this. It's probably fine and I don't have any ideas myself on how it could be done differently with it still being a folding net.

Ron : A great floating net!!!!!!
This net is just perfect. Both me and my girlfriend dropped it off the boat, thankfully it floated or it would be on the bottom of the lake. Had no trouble with fish of any size. I love this net.
luvingthepnw : sturdy and packs down easily!
loves that it really folds up all the way - i do some kayak fishing and love that it packs down small. it is easy to unfold and seems pretty sturdy - just what i was looking for!
Elmer J. : Love this net!
I love this net. I have a couple of others but this is my favorite. Im either hiking getting to my favore spots or on canoe. Either way this is light weight, compact and very convenient to cary around. Havent dropped it in the water but have tested it and it floats which makes it perfect on the canoe. Its perfect for almost any fresh water fishing.
Cus : Nice landing net for the price.
Nice landing net. The net is coated in black rubber. Feels sturdy. Should last well in salg water. Only problem is the smell. You should take it out and air it for a week or so. The rubber smells badddd. I wish they make this longer so I can get crabs with it too. The telescoping option is a plus.
David gunn : Fishnet
It was a little smaller than I thought so I didn't use it for why I was intending to use it but I do use it for small fish and it does fold up and very compact a good net
super shopper : Perfect!
Very realistic looking!
Amanda Bonnett : Light weight and durable.

Doug R. : Good value
Really nice size net which folds into a compact space. Perfect for keeping under the seat in my john boat. Locks into place securely and feels like it will hold up for a long time. I can fold and unfold it with one hand with no problem. Belt clip is useful, and the floats will keep me from having to fish for it when I drop it. Very nice product at this price!
A&P Johnston : Folds up nice and small
Light, small, and affordable enough to leave in your vehicle or boat and forget about it until you need it. Heavy duty enough to land a large fish and hold up well over time.
Gymmy : Great with 2 issues
First issue: the netting doesn’t seem the most durable. I would be careful taking out hooks while the fish is in the net, if it gets snagged it might rip it
Second issue: the rubber on the net is VERY “chemically.” I would wash it well before using to save the fish better.
Blue1 : Nice size, & Floats
I purchased the 14' net and it's exactly as described , My only issue is I asked what the latching mechanism was made of because in my opinion this most likely will be the part to fail first depending on how many times it's used ( open & close) . The only response I received was that the latch was made out of carbon fiber...well it's not.. it is hard plastic which actually looks and feels to be pretty thick and sturdy but definitely not carbon fiber. How long it will hold up remains to be seen but as of now i"m glad I purchased this item and have already used it to pull a few large mouth up off the bank with no issue , I love the rubber coating on the net it worked exactly as I hoped it would no problems with hurting the bass and the treble hooks never snaged. It folds down nice and compact fits right in my back pack so I am very pleased . do your self a favor and get one !!
Jason : Convenient for backpacking
A little heavy due to the coated netting, but folds down and packs away nicely with some strapping I added.
Ryan J : Very convenient to pack, sturdy, and a great price!
I love the Plussino floating net! It folds to a convenient size for carrying to the lake or packing on a kayak. The handle has a carbon fiber appearance and seems very sturdy. The rubber coated net, foam grip and floats are well made and should hold up to many fishing trips. Overall, this is a great short handled net that is convenient to pack, and should last for quite a while. The only improvement I could suggest is to add a velcro strap to keep the net tight when collapsed. I may add one on my own.
Tom : Sturdy and Compact Fishing Net
There are several things that I like about this fishing net. When folded, it is only 16 inches long, 4 inches wide, and under 2 inches thick, so it can easily fit in my backpack. Unfolded, it becomes over 28 inches long, and the net becomes 15.5 inches wide at the end and 13 inches deep, which is big enough for most fish. The net is rubber-coated, which is friendly to the fish for the many catch-and-release ponds in my neck of the woods. The black foam rubber handle is durable, and coupled with the two blue foam rubber net guides, the whole net floats. The folding mechanism is sturdy and includes a locking latch. Overall, this is a very nice fishing net for the money.
Brandon : Great size net any more importantly folds small!!!
This is a sweet item! I've been wanting a folding net that i can put in a hiking bag or travel with and this is perfect. Folds up very narrow and floats so you wont loose it in the water. Net is very deep and wide when folded out. Its my new favorite piece of gear :)
Maguire : Compact, durable, easy to use
I really enjoyed the compactness of this fishing net. I've often found with other products that they're simply too bulky and extremely exhausting to lug around if you have to hike out to a good fishing spot. This net is collapsible and foldable, making it easy to transport in a hiking bag! The netting is made of some sort of rubbery mesh so I'm hoping that it will be more difficult to tear in comparison to a regularly rope braided netting. The netting itself is also creating closely so the holes aren't spread far apart. I've found that this is useful in catching smaller baitfish that often escape from larger holes. I highly recommend.
Les Wang : Folds up small
This net folds down to the smallest footprint of all the nets I have. It also is made of rubbery material so hooks don’t easily get tangled up in it. The flat bottom is good for keeping fish flat and not curled up which makes them flop around. Overall a great net if you want something that can fit in a backpack. I got the smallest size.
Northern Snow Shopper : It's well worth it
I'll keep this short. It has a great reach, it's light, sturdy, made with good material, and I don't expect that this thing will fall apart on me any time soon. The only design flaw that I see is that the bottom of the handle doesn't allow you to attach a rope/clip/550 cord, etc. This simple adjustment will ensure that this doesn't accidentally get away from you, so I hope they make this improvement for future customers. Besides that well worth the buy!
Jason : Convenient for backpacking
A little heavy due to the coated netting, but folds down and packs away nicely with some strapping I added.
Leilani810 : Great for Kayak Fishing!
This fishing net is nice, compact and lightweight. Perfect for kayak fishing. The rubber coated netting is great against snags. Would highly recommend!
monica loyd : just as it states compact
love that it floats great for grandsons first kayak . he will be fishing from it this summer.
Anthony Baldassar : Great for all young and old
You can use this net for packing in, it's very compact. I have a kayak and this is a benefit for small craft use. I like that it folds up and the handle is solid. I would recommend this for any outdoor fisherman that needs a good sturdy net
Lumore : This is not a good product
This is not a good product at all.
luvingthepnw : sturdy and packs down easily!
loves that it really folds up all the way - i do some kayak fishing and love that it packs down small. it is easy to unfold and seems pretty sturdy - just what i was looking for!
Travis Bruno : Rubber coated plussinno Floating net for all fish
Great value ..the net floats and is light weight it also is rubber so its safe for the fish and lures wont get caught. god bless make sure to buy

mikeyg : Easy one handed operation, and it floats!
This fishing net means business. This premium net has a pole made of fiberglass/carbon fibre for the handle which is easy to grip while wrangling a reasonable sized prize. The nylon material for the mesh is rubberized which means it will last for years floating in saltwater or the sun.
The net collapses down to a compact package and has an integrated belt clip. I've also found it quite easy to deploy and retract one-handed (see video).
Overall, this is an extremely durable and functional net which floats :) no more trying to save my net with a paddle as it slowly sinks...

Amazon Customer : Perfect size
This is a perfect size fishing net you can put in your fishing bag. My boys had no problem using it to grab the fish. Perfect if you are a kayak fisherman. Definitely recommended.

Evert : Compact and quite sturdy!
Overall it is a very nice, compact net. The rubber net has small holes so no fish will escape, and no fins will be cut. It feels quite sturdy and is pretty light weight as well. The best part is how small it folds up to, about 4 inches by 16 inches. It is also short heightwise so it will easily fit in a backpack or stowed on any boat. A really nice net for a competitive price.
Leilani810 : Great for Kayak Fishing!
This fishing net is nice, compact and lightweight. Perfect for kayak fishing. The rubber coated netting is great against snags. Would highly recommend!
Bryan Hash : Great fishing net!
This is light and solid! The net is rubber coated nylon, which is better on the fish scales. Small even to dip in the water for minnows and what not. It’s totally collapsible and can clip onto your belt. This net is worth every penny!
M. jarvis : For when your dog is a lil Dickins
and likes to drop the ball juuuust out of reach in the Willamette River. This works great! Also, a good conversation starter in re dogs who are lil dickins.
Amazon Customer : Hooks get stuck
Love that it’s easy to fold and fits in the boat better but it ALWAYS gets the hook stuck in the netting. We’ve had to cut the hook out one already.
bjs : The best for kayak and small boat nets
After losing my first non floatation Plusinno net out of my kayak this upgraded floating version fits the kayak fisherman's needs perfectly. Lightweight, folds into small package with a big enough net size for big fish and sturdy to boot.
Michael Smith : Great little net! Recommended.
This net is surprisingly sturdy and very compact! I kayak fish a lot and have had a ton of trouble with folding nets not keeping their shape... especially when netting a fish. The net material in this one keeps its shape well, and the net itself is plenty study to land a fish. Plus, the floating part is key for me. The foam is very high density and should last for year. All and all, this appears to be a great product for a good price. I would recommend trying this one for sure.
Jarhead : Surprisingly good quality net...
Was very impressed with this product. Perfect size and folds up nicely. Very sturdy and well designed. Great value as well. Do recommend and would buy again but doubt if I will need another for a long time.
Deeh : Works well
I like the mess, it is rubbery. It kind of sucks if using lures as they snag easily but the fish does not get away. It folds and stores nicely and quick to open catch that fish.
Alexander Konovalov : Very compact and lightweight
To be honest I didn't like to take fishing nets with me before, because they were relatively heavy and take much space. But this one from Plusinno totally changed the situation. It is light and compact. Can fit into my backpack. Fast to open and comfortable to hold.
