Answer: It is a light weight drop net. A rolling surf would make it ineffective as well as a river with much current. I use mine to harvest tilapia from a pond. If you are looking for a Salt Water drop net I would recommend a wire one, but corrosion is an issue with them, make sure and rinse after every use.

How are you supposed to fold this up??? I just wasted 15 minutes of my life

Didn't work out for me. Used it to catch bait fish but it's too light, even after I added weights the current pulled it. Maybe it'll work somewhere without any current?

No instructions on how to fold it back together. I pulled it out of the bag and it popped open like an umbrella

Larger upper ring snapped the first time I pulled it up through the water. Not sure what I expected for this price, but the net is actually better quality then the metal rings that structure it. Folded up nice and small, and would be a great product if it didn’t break on the first pull due to water resistance.
