Neat idea but I can't let the kids use them or they'd all be broken. Telescoping arm is a nice feature but is weak. Maybe these are good for catching butterflies by a very gentle person but not so good for catching minnows by a normal kid. I would opt for a heavier duty neat next time.

We bought this set to take to the lake near our home. There are tons of butterflies, insects, and frogs that the kids love to catch, study and release. They lasted two trips. The telescopic handle easily broke when littles pulled to lengthen them; they cannot be fixed (maybe duct taped, if you carry it with you, and the edges are sharp)... Needless to say, we don’t have them anymore.

JChamberlain : Fun but a little flimsy

Our little fisherman spent a lot of time at the lake this year, and he wanted to try and catch fish in a net (no luck on that front). These were a big hit, and allowed him to share with friends. The only downside is that, especially when the telescoping pole is extended, these are pretty flimsy/prone to breaking. We used the 5 nets a lot in the course of a little over a month, and only had one break. Otherwise they worked well, and were a big hit with the kiddos.
