Just got our machine and pressing the buttons in the end doesn’t lock the machine. Am I doing something wrong?
Answer: I pressed each side one at a time. it should make a click sound when it locks. you should see the little release buttons on each side and when it locks it makes a click sound. also make sure that you have only a single layer of the pouch inside. do not fold over several times as machine needs to be able to suck air out to seal.

Answer: The pro’s are: you get to trim the ‘bag’ to size, i.e. you don’t end up wasting half the bag when vacuuming a pre-cut size.
Answer: I’ve had machines that had a place to store the plastic. This one does not. I think it comes down to personal preference. As I recall, you’d need to remove them from the storage section to use them anyway. (I bought rolls of plastic to use and keep them in a bag for when I need them.)

Answer: No matter what vacuum sealer you use, you need to freeze your bakery products first. Then just use the same sealing bag and seal it. Delicate cookies or frosted things may have a problem, but regular bread, rolls, and cookies do fine like this. Maybe a bit of breakage from movement around the freezer.
Answer: You can, as long as you press the Seal button before it starts to crush. I also recommend before sealing meat products, place it in a freezer approximately 30 minutes prior, this way the product will retain its shape and not drain all it's moisture.

Answer: Any type of food in a freezer can last a long time. For example, chicken can last up to "9 months" in a freezer. To keep frozen food, from freezer burn, foods needs to have a protective package. So far, the vacuum sealer has not caused any freezer burn.

So this is my first vacuum sealer and I love it. For someone like me with a small household this vacuum sealer comes in handy so much. I like to shop at bulk grocery stores so I buy a lot of meat that I have to put in my freezer however I don’t necessarily want to cook all of it once I open it. The sealer comes with this unsealed nice outer box solid packaging, instructions, warranty to register via their website, power cables, some free bags but NOT sealed for hygiene purposes - I hope the bags come in sealed packaging to meet the health code. For additional accessories you can see in the picture.

Easy to use standard vacuum sealer that I tested to seal back the open potato chip bag to keep freshness without using their sealer bags. I just received my order today. Could not wait to use it! I used the bags included to freeze some meat. (Great size by the way!) Vacuum sealing was great. I also love the fact that it has a built in cutter. No more scissors! It would be nice to have a pulse feature but overall the features it has are really nice and easy to function.

I'm using the sealer to hold a variety of things, but mainly grains and hops for making beer. So far it has been easy to use, with virtually no setup. The only issue/concern I have is the amount of bag that is wasted, but that seems to be par for the course. Overall, I'm glad I made the purchase.

I wasn't really impressed when I got it. It has a hard time getting the seal to vacuum, and the suction is pretty weak, so it's a bit slow. And, making it worse, the gaskets just don't last. 4 months of light use and mine are torn.
Even the cutter is problematic. The location makes it virtually impossible to use without turning on the sealer.

This lightweight vacuum sealer came nicely packaged. It came with 10 bags for sealing(large and small) an extra gasket, warranty and handy
The process was pretty simple and be sure you hear the “click” once you pull the lid down to ensure that contact is made between upper and bottom of sealer, then you can press the Vac Seal button to start. The machine is a little noisy but the bag is sealed in 20 seconds. The nice glider on top of the machine cuts the excess bag and it’s ready for the freezer. I know i’ll be giving this sealer a lot of use.

First off, I have been wanting to make this purchase for quite a while. With COVID, I find myself freezing more food so I do not have to go out and shop as much. This machine is easy to set up and use. It also came with several bags in different sizes. The manufacturer even included an extra barrier piece so you don’t have to worry about buying one for awhile. I am looking forward to making some soup this week and using the bags to freeze it. This Megawise Vacuum sealer is very easy to use. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I am very impressed with this product. It works great on dry and moist settings ,sucks all the air out and seals very quickly .I sealed some cookies ,did a great job, did not crush the cookies. Sealed some pork ribs ,they looked perfect. Sealed some sweet peppers did a great job, as well as other things I sealed, al turned out perfect. This Megawise sealer works faster than my other brand name sealers. One really nice feature that I didn't realize this would have is a tube with connector that allows you to use vacuum cups/containers or even vacuum the air out of your opened wine bottle to preserve the wine longer! I like the simplicity and size of this product. After a few practices, I got the right alignment for where to place the open top of the bag. It works great for soups, grains, uncooked or cooked meats/fish/chicken - just make sure the top area of the bag is completely clean and you press down on both lower corners until you hear them click closed.

Big d : Its refreshing finding a product that does its one job extremely well (which is to suck)
Since this is my very first vacuum sealer I have no means of comparison. However, this device has worked well each and every time I've used it. By now I've vacuum sealed both wet and dry food items of all sizes and this megawise sealer has tackled it all without a single headache and/or curse word. In addition I really love how small and light weight it is. I have a tiny kitchen with minimal storage space but finding a place for this was super simple....What can I say other than this device has triumphed at sucking..... air.

I’m not sure I know how to work this sealer. I can’t get it to work. It just doesn’t sick the air out. I want to love it, and I think I’m following the instructions properly. Vacuum sealers don't last long at my house. I don't think I'm particularly rough with them. I just think the pumps suck and not in the good way. I spent over $200 on the last one and when it burnt out, so did I. I really didn't want to buy another one.

The fruits and vegetables are very seasonal where I live, so preserving them to last through the winter and spring is great for your budget and your taste buds. This vacuum sealer makes it easy to preserve food to store in my freezer. It should cause less freezer burn and frost than using regular freezer bags too. Love my new MEGAWISE 80kPa Vacuum Sealer. I have always had the Food Saver Vacuum Sealers over the years and they have never worked as good as this Megawise Vacuum Sealer just did.
It is very easy to use seals very fast and quietly. Love the fact that it has the cutter blade on the top of the sealer. It is small so easy to store in a small space. would recommend this machine to anyone that is looking to purchase a food saver. Also has a great price compared to the Food Saver Machines.

I used the bags it came with. Did a really good job sectioning out air. I didn't notice a difference in time between the wet and dry settings. I ran out of small bags and used the larger bags by cutting them using the cutter and sealing one end.
The cutter is a little annoying. For a level cut, make sure the machine is also level. That may be common sense but if you're a little type A an uneven cut is an uneven seal. Would be better if there was something to slide under and hold the bag to cut.

I’m happy with this. I think it could use a tiny bit more suction power but for the price, it’s worth it. I cut my chicken breasts in half for easier thawing. I didn’t smash the ground beef in the pictures, but I will in the future. I’m excited to be able to buy meat in bulk and freeze it to save money!

I have been needing one of these for quite some time now, but kept putting it off.
I love the size of it because it doesn't take up a lot of room in my already cramped apartment kitchen. I can store it in a drawer out of sight if needed.
The set up was super easy which was nice as I was able to use it after my grocery trip to separate my meats. The suction power behind this thing will allow me to store things in my freezer longer without it getting freezer burn!
I forgot to order bags, so I was super grateful that they included some smaller and larger ones with the machine!
I'm very satisfied and can't wait to try it with an avocado to see how long it keeps!

1) Excellent customer service! They actually reached out to me after reading my original review to see if there was something they could do in support.
2) I think I've gotten used to the sealer and I'm much happier with it now. The instructions aren't entirely clear and left me having to do some trial and error in getting the sealer to work all the time. Perhaps it's the clarity of the instructions they can address. The product works great now otherwise.

I don't have another vacuum sealer to compare this to, but for the price paid, this one operates quietly and quickly. The vacuum seal is excellent and should be compatible with most vacuum bag rolls on the market.

Fudman : A great vacuum sealer
This is my second bag sealer with vacuum capability. The other is the big name brand with an 8" bag capacity. This one is 11" capable, which is a huge difference. I just sealed a 6 lb semi-boneless rib roast! It is a bit quieter than my previous one. It also has multiple options (dry vs wet, seal only, vac & seal). The other is strictly vac and seal which wastes time and pump life when sealing the end of a roll to create a bag. This sealer is a great value and works every bit as good as the name brand option.

Although many people use vacuum sealers for freezing meat in bulk, my use cases involve extending the freshness of food I just cannot consume quicky enough, such as nuts, sausage patties and coffee. Once the factory seal of any package is opened, even a ziplock bag won't slow the inevitable, but this thing will!
I was able to create custom sized bags and the nuts I sealed were like a brick! I kept half of my sausage patties in a ziplock and the other half sealed to open in a few weeks. This little vacuum sealer was competitively priced and came with plenty of bags to get me started and I look forward to wasting less food.

So this is my first vacuum sealer and I love it. For someone like me with a small household this vacuum sealer comes in handy so much. I like to shop at bulk grocery stores so I buy a lot of meat that I have to put in my freezer however I don’t necessarily want to cook all of it once I open it. So I like to portion out my frozen meats or fresh meats for when I want to use them and this helps so much. I’ve also tried sealing fruits and vegetables just to see exactly what the outcome would be. Maybe I’ll update this review with how that goes. Also before I forget I do want to talk about the features that I love, for one I love that there is a cutter on the top. I also love that there is different vacuum seal modes as in dry or moist. It really helps depending on what you’re going to seal.
But all in all a great vacuum sealer my family loves it, I love it and it definitely helps me out with my food prep and our portions for dinner.

SusieQ : Megawise Vacuum Sealer-Simple & Easy to Use
This lightweight vacuum sealer came nicely packaged. It came with 10 bags for sealing(large and small) an extra gasket, warranty and handy
The process was pretty simple and be sure you hear the “click” once you pull the lid down to ensure that contact is made between upper and bottom of sealer, then you can press the Vac Seal button to start. The machine is a little noisy but the bag is sealed in 20 seconds. The nice glider on top of the machine cuts the excess bag and it’s ready for the freezer. I know i’ll be giving this sealer a lot of use.

I've been using a food saver for years, but it is so bulky and hard to use. This megawise is awesome, it works well, is super compact and light weight.
I cant wait to take it on our next fishing trip.

Sealed 8 bags of meat last night. Woke up today with a list of things to seal. After 2 bags, it stopped working. It was still suctioning but not sealing, no heating element. Now I have to go 1/2 hour out of my way plus gas to return this specifically to a Whole Foods. Don't appreciate that at all.

This is the second vacuum sealer that I've owned. I've always found them to be worth their weight in gold and their applications almost limitless. When I go backwoods camping I take a change of clothes vacuum sealed tight so I always have dry socks, underwear, etc. When canoeing I take vacuum sealed toilet paper (learned this valuable lesson the hard way). Then there's the obvious food preservation uses. The MegaWise unit is just as powerful as my old vacuum sealer but half the size and far more portable. Since the power cord isn't built into the unit but is detachable, it's easier to store in my small camper where space is a premium. I haven't invested in a 12v fridge yet (those things are $400-1000 bucks) and this vacuum sealer is a much cheaper way to keep things like cheese from getting wet in the cooler (always happens to me whether it's in a ziploc or not). With food items, vacuum seal with a desiccant pack and dry food like beans or rice will last indefinitely. This unit sealed a 2 lb bag of beans hard as a brick so it's hot great power. At the price ($30 LESS than my old sealer), it's hard to find anything bad to say about this great unit. Oh yeah, it will also seal jars which my old unit wouldn't (haven't tried that yet though).

It stopped working less than a week after I bought it. This is the second off-brand machine I’ve purchased from Amazon that doesn’t last. I’m just now remembering to leave a review because it wasn’t worth returning and has been collecting dust. Save your money and buy a well-known, name brand sealer.

I’ve never used a vacuum sealer before, but this worked great and I am really glad I got it! Just make sure you don’t put the bag in front of the vacuum at all or it won’t suction. I thought I had placed the bag far enough forward, but it wasn’t suctioning, so I had to move it a little more, then it worked perfectly! I thought it was broken at first, but it wasn't, so just check that if it's not suctioning for you.

It's simple to use, too simple almost. I was looking around for more complex instructions. However all you do is pop the food in the bag, put the edge of the bag in the tray and hit vacuum seal.
Wife loves it, she always wanted one and now finally at this price she gets it.
