Lisa Currie : So far, no luck catching baitfish with it

Tried using some expired cut tiny pieces of hot dog in the bait pouch....and it failed epically. fish wouldn't even eat it directly on a hook. lol Pretty sure the problem was with the bait, not the trap. HOWEVER, this is a VERY inexpensively made trap. the part where it closes tends to shift around, making closing the trap awkward and it pulls taught in places where it shouldn't during this process which makes me think it's only a matter of time before it starts ripping. I mean, it's good in a pinch, but I wouldn't use this for anything major like crabs or lobster or anything. crawdads and tiny little fresh water bait fish, sure. But I wouldn't suggest this for any kind of ocean trapping.
