product made for larger fish so not practical for some of my fishing. numbers etched into steel were very difficult to see except it just right light. will be of very little use to me and people I gave as gifts to.

I was very impressed with the workmanship and ruggedness of this gripper, it will definitely handle a large fish. I checked the scale against an accurate digital scale and found it to be very inaccurate. I don't trust spring scales anyway and will always use my digital scale. I bought this gripper to use on large Flathead catfish and am confident it will do the job.

This grips the fish fairly well, so you don't have to handle the fish. My only beef with it, is I would have preferred a smaller scale or a digital readout to more accurately measure the weight of the fish.

Just received the fish grip last week but I haven’t used them yet. I can tell you that I’m impressed with quality of these grips and I can’t wait to try them out. I bought these in hopes that they will hold a Ca halibut better than the ones I have now. Good grips allow me to handle “shaker” butts without harming them in a net.

Save your money for a real Boga. Used this thing 5 times. Rinsed with fresh water and sprayed with corrosion x after each use. Grabbed it to prep for tomorrow's fishing trip and it literally fell apart in my hand. Junk!
