Answer: Great value! Mine is fairly new but so far it seems smoother and more powerful than my comparable Penn that was a bit more expensive.
Answer: I think they're great definitely get a lot more power out of them for the price. This is my second one and they're pretty well made. The power handle really feels good it makes it easy.

Reel isn't ready out the box. Reel has almost no grease and where there is lube it's scarce.
Some of the screws were loose and in time would cause the reel to fail. drag pressure plate is held to the spool with tiny hardware.
Pros.
Finish is nice, gears are nicely cut and run smooth, drag is powerful, handle is comfortable, bearings are smooth and stainless.
I fish commercially I run Penn's, older fin-nor's, and avet's. I only bought this reel since it was dirt cheap, wharehouse deals $325.

Arrived today and looks very well made. Very heavy grade SS parts and silky smooth drag system. I give it 5 stars so far. I ordered another one I was so impressed. Great value for the money.

Tried the big Gomexus HX 50W reel at Alijos Rocks. The reel, with quality ball bearings, was smooth and I landed several big yellowtail in half the time of other anglers. I did not have to shift to lower gear. Was impressed by its 97 lb drag and cranking power.

Just received my hx 80w seems pretty solid for the price I paid super loud clicker going to be using this reel for land based shark fishing so it will get put through some tests over summer will post updates when I get the chance to take it out
