Answer: I would pair that with about a 6' medium weight rod.

How much weight I can take with 5000 fishing reel?

Does anyone know what is recommended line weight and capacity?

Answer: I use 10# braid for Spotted Seatrout. The 1000 sized reel casts it well and the limited stretch of the braided line helps set the hook on the lighter rods typically used with this size reel. I really like the Nasci. About 150 yds.

Answer: I use 8lb braid on mine capacity is around 100 yards

Answer: Depends what lb test you put on. It takes about 170 yards of 30 lb test braid. So if you you want 30 lb you can convert it from there

Answer: Both. Shimano's NASCI reel is a great choice for everything from light freshwater to medium saltwater fishing.

What does the fb mean?

Why does my 2500 model (new) make creaking noises when reeling in something heavy like a fish?

Answer: It is hard to help you on this without knowing what area the creaking is coming from. If your reel is new I would suggest sending it to shimano for service but you have to be specific about where the noise is coming from.

Answer: If not a new reel, reel may need cleaning and lubricant.

Answer: Could it be the drag!? Perhaps. they definitely have a distinctive sounding. to me it’s the Beautifuk sound I the world. ????

Answer: Mine does a little too. I have a 3000. Never caused any issues

Can you tie braid line directly or do you need to attach it to mono at the spool?

Answer: I use mono only but would imagine it can be tied directly to the spool. Google the question or find it on YouTube to be sure.

Answer: You certainly can if you have enough of it.. most people spool mono first to make up the difference and fill the spool.. braid is thinner than mono and a typical package isn’t enough to fill the entire spool.. unless you buy the braid in larger quantities but performance wise, all braid on the spool is perfectly fine.

Answer: You can switch the arm to make it left or right.

For the price, you can not beat the smoothness, reliability, and light weight of this reel. Feels almost like Stradic with only a bit of exaggeration. It’s that good

Snook : Quality Reel That's Relatively Budget Friendly

I like it (1000 model)! Feels solid and fished well first time out, bringing some decent-sized redfish and snook to the boat. Same quality as my Stradics? Doubt that. But at half the price it's a darn good reel and I don't really notice that big of a difference in casting or the smoothness of the drag from my higher end tackle. If you're on a budget and want a high-quality reel look no further.

I purchased 4 of these reels. And all 4 of them have an hourglass shaped line lay. I really like the feel of these reels. I haven’t used them yet for fear I may have to return them. It comes with extra washers to adjust line lays off centered be it top or bottom. The center is where the problem is. I am actively looking for a simple solution. I hope these reels are not defective. If anyone else has these reels and are experiencing this character about your reels. Please comment. If I find a solution I will update my review accordingly.

Die Rolle wird bei mir Hauptsächlich zum Spinn-fischen genutzt oder auch schon mal zum Grundangeln.
Sie läuft super weich, kein Ruckeln oder Zuckeln... Eine sehr gute Verarbeitung der Materialien, wie man es von Shimano gewohnt ist.

Meiner Meinung nach ist die Rolle ihr Geld wert und mehr muss man auch nicht ausgeben, denn mit der Rolle hat man ein super Begleiter in jeder Situation.

Spinn-fischen Profil:
120m Monofil 0,25 auf der Rolle und eine Shimano Vengance BX Sea Bass 2,10m / 7 - 35g.
