which reel should i got for a 7ft bass rod?

The reel is sturdy but the line keeps catching the spool screw holder has its not flush , the line then tangles if you don't notice the line is not going onto the spool.

This reel works perfectly in my neighborhood pond. Doesn’t have all the bells and whistles of the name brands but it holds up very well. Smooth actions and easy to keep clean as well. Comes with some line so that’s a benefit if you’re just getting started fishing. Overall very happy with this reel

I got the 5000b series when there was a promotion on the reel at amazon.
what I like:
- all metal body with unique brush around spool design, comfortable handle
- well-built
- smooth spinning and drag ( I haven't got chance to try the full strength of 25lb drag yet but it looks pretty good)
- able to hold 150 yard 30lb braided line
what needs to be improved:
- the wash within the handle could be better ( which can be changed easier)

Bottom line:
a well-built budget-friendly reel that can serve the purpose. I would recommend to give it a try without breaking the bank.
