All sizes 2000 thru 6000 have spool diameters that are approximately one half size larger than traditional spinning reels. They are smooth casting and are far superior to standard arbor spinning reels or other long cast spool designs. Also featured is TICA's Intelligent Oscillation System. I own a half dozen of the 2500 series, 4 of th3 3500 series and 1 of their Sceptres. Best value for the money bar none. We fish salt-water exclusively and these have not let me down in over 1 year of ownership.

*edit* almost 3 years later. I now own 7 total tica reels and 5 tica rods.... No issues! These are fished regularly, both kayak and surf.
