Would the 25, 30 or 35 be a best match with my 5' light uglystick?

Answer: I have a 25 on my 5'4" Ugly Stick Ultra light. That rod is made more for ultra light crank baits. The smaller reel allows 6 lbs braid to flow off the spool easier. Smaller reels also keep these style lures in the sweet spot in regards of speed.

Answer: Put it on something better than an ugly stick! Nothing like a $150 reel on a $25 rod! Just my opinion. Go with the 25!

Answer: You can look them up on any big box store like bass pro shop I have some of each and like the 25 best because of weight for casting all day. I use Nanofil 10# and don’t have a problem fitting a 150yd spool on

Is this a good reel for largemouth bass or walleye?

Answer: I would not use this reel for largemouth bass. I did take it to the BWCAW and fished walleyes, but the walleyes run small in the area we fished. It is an excellent reel for pan fish. I am considering another!

Answer: It is not the lightest reel you will find but it is a great option at this price point. I run a Shimano Stradic CI4+ on my ultralight setup.

RobMckenner : Submerged one time and it has problems

Not that you want to submerge your reel, but it happens. My rod slipped out of my hand and submerged in about 3 feet of water. Shortly after on the same trip the reel became really hard to reel. I just took it completely apart and cleaned it up. There was nothing noticeable wrong inside, but I took it all apart, cleaned and greased everything. It still does not feel right, but that may be in my head. On the plus side it was very easy to disassemble and put back together.

Was not expecting to spend the money for this reel and the clip to hold the line pops off.... wow!! And because of it the reel now grinds on the bottom rotation and does not turn freely.... need a refund !!Frustrated because I love light weight fishing and finally spent the money but still broke.

Best spinning reel for the money!! Insanely smooth. I have one of the original supreme xt's size 30 that I got when they first came out (maybe 7-8 years ago) it's still a great reel. Hoping this one performs as well for as long. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a new reel. The only bummer is that they used to come with a really nice neoprene reel bag, and don't anymore.

This is probably the nicest 2500 size reel I own. It is so smooth. It functions superb. Ergonomics are near perfect. If I could I would replace every reel but a couple I own with this model. The color scheme is a real eye catcher that gets noticed at the lake, too.

Great reel, the "clicker" mechanism has broken on one of them on the underside of the spool. Drag seems to work but is silent.
