Answer: Hi Pat D, thank you for your inquiry. We pre-spooled premium mono line for you, if you want to spool braided line for instead, please pull out the pre-spooled mono line and re-spool the braided line you like. Yes the braided line can be used for sure.

How big is the bees version? size?

Answer: Sure, because it has stainless bearings, but it is best to rinse with fresh water after each use in saltwater. I used it in saltwater and freshwater. It‘s so durable and smooth reel.

Answer: Yes, very easily. This can be for left or right handed. Just switch the handle to the other side. My son switches it when he uses the spincast fishing reel. This fishing reel works great on either side. Great spincast fishing reel.

Answer: on the front cone it says 240 yards of 6 pound test line. it comes with 10 pound test line which seems about right.

How many pickup pins?

Answer: This fishing reel has 2 stainless-steel pick up pins that it can grab slack line quickly. What surprised me was that when I took apart the fishing reel there also had a roller sleeve on the pin, it protects the line from cutting by the pin. This is a great design detail. Very great reel. Ordered this reel for my 9 yr old. It was delivered early but did not work out of the box. Had to add a spacer to get the insides to function properly. That being said, the reel casts further than anythig else I own.

Ordered a green Tarzan reel. Very quick delivery. Received 11 May 2021. Upon inspection made several observations: 1. Reel is much heavier than most spincast reels of similar size. 2. There is absolutely nothing "smooth" about this reel. 3. The reel is very loud.... apparently "quality control" is non existent in the manufacture of this product.... there is a "catch" in every rotation of the retrieve handle... Do yourself a favor and go to walmart, buy a Zebco 202 or 404... They are much better reels...
