This year the Classic is being held in my back yard, so to speak, and I wish could invite all attending BR members into my back yard for a Bar-B-Que. Unfortunately, my wife is a CPA, and its tax season. It's twelve hour days for her, seven days a week. So, because my abode is out of the question, let me know how many of you will be in and around Tulsa and I'll make arrangements for us to all have a few brews and dinner together.
I will but not sure what day as I have a music gig that weekend.
We'll have a booth! Make sure to stop by and say hello!
Myself, kanasbassfisher08 (Chris), basshunter0731 (Jon) and his 2 boys will all be there. We plan on driving straight to Tulsa on Day 1 for the weigh in and expo. We're going to spend Day 2 on the water and then drive back to Tulsa for the expo and final weigh in on Sunday before driving home. We're staying in a cabin on the lake and not sure what the other guys are wanting to do but if we have the time I'm always for meeting more folks off the site.
I'll be there 20-24 Feb. I'm staying with my brother in Claremore for the first two days, and I have a room at the Hard Rock 22-24 Feb.
I live here so of course Im in!
Hey Mike, I'm in.......just let me know what plan develops!
In!
I plan to attend the Expo on one of the days, just not sure which one yet. But if it works with my schedule, I'd be happy to join you guys.
Will be there working the Pinnacle booth at the expo. I'm in!
Have you thought anymore about the brew and dinner Long Mike?
Mike,
I'll be there per my PM to you--did not see this thread before!Getting old and I guess the eyes are not as good as they used to be.
Would like to meet all you other BR members who will be there also!
I'll try to make it to the expo or otherwise I'm hitting up the BPS
Let's hit a BBQ joint nearby the Expo...a GREAT BBQ place. I've been threatened with my life if I don't bring back some awesome Oklahoma BBQ sauce, so I'm relying on you locals to hook me up!

I'm down Glenn! But I don't know a good one close to the Expo!
Ok, we can carpool it then.
Game on!
I'm going, and I know Deb and 520DVX are too. Looking forward to seeing them there. It'll be good seeing fellow bass fisherman at the Classic; I feel like I've been exiled to a fishless wonderland ever since we left Florida for Kansas.
HMMMM Can I hop a jet??/ Ive been busy as heck-Maybe i will go
Back Alley Blues & Blue BQ-116 Elgin (enter from 2nd st.) In the Blue Dome section of downtown Tulsa close to BOk arena and civic center.

I have never been there. I was thinking Elmer's or Stone Mill BBQ in Broken Arrow. It doesn't matter to me where we go.
I just can't wait to go to Burger street, when I lived in Tulsa that was my favorite place to grab a bite to eat, See you guys at the expo.

elmers is great too. Never been to Stone Mill. I note that they now have an Oklahoma Joe's right down the road from the Bass Pro Shop in BA. Convenient!
I mentioned the Back Alley Blues place because it is downtown not far from the expo.
Goldies is a great place for burgers also.
I also heard that Nelsons Buffeteria is now open again down on third street--but only go there if you like chicken fried steak.lol
How about we settle on Elmer's at 6:00 Friday night? It's a hole-in-the-wall joint, but the BBQ is some of the best in Tulsa and the prices are reasonable. The address is 4131 S. Peoria Ave. It's not within walking distance of the exhibition center.
I'm staying out at the lake but will try to attend with my son Chad.
Arrived in Tulsa-finally!
Went to the sevice yard behind the BOK Center where weigh ins are to be held. Took some photos and posted on my Gallery.
Most of the pros have arrived. Some were hanging around and I got to speak to Ish Monroe who I fished with last year at the Southern Open I on Harris Chain in Florida; Boyd Ducket-I Marshaled for him at Pickwick a few years ago(he won the Elite Tournament at Oneida this season); and of course the 'King' KVD himself - Marshaled for him at Pickwick also.
The tone appears to be a bit more focused and serious than I recall from regular season tournaments.
Going out with one of them tomorrow for last practice day--it is going to be cold and wet so not sure if I can get too many photos--will post whatever I can get.

I will try to get there, LM. Won't get off the lake til around 3pm and then have to get back to weigh in downtown--truck will be there at service yard area. Save me a rib or two!
I'll be there!

Mike, I am sending you a PM with my cell phone number. Keep me advised of your status on Friday.

I like the date and location, but let's shoot for 7 or 7:30. The weigh-in won't be over until 6:30 or so. That will give us some time to get there.
I'll talk to the guys that I'm going with and see if I can talk them into going. We were planning on stopping to eat somewhere in Tulsa after weigh in anyways so hopefully we'll make it.
I'm game for whatever time. I'll only be able to go to Sundays weigh in.
weather looks atrocious
Yeah, nasty! I'm taking the boat to the classic for the first time but think I'm going to leave it on the trailer Friday. Supposed to warm up a little Saturday and Sunday.
OK, 7:30 is the new time.
Changed to Rib Crib 1601 s Harvard.
Sorry everyone.........Elmers ran out of food and closed at 7.
We redirected to Rib Crib at 1601 S Harvard ave.
I posted the address as soon as I knew Elmers was closed and hung around in Elmers parking lot until 7:29 to let folks know about the change.
I tried to PM everyone that had indicated they were gonna try to make the dinner hoping that everyone had their notifications set to email their phone.
I am truly sorry if I missed anyone.
Hope everyone got the word that was coming to dinner.
It was GREAT meeting all of you that came to the dinner.
I am looking forward to meeting more of you at the Pickwick Roadtrip.
Thanks Chris for standing out in the cold to redirect us. Chad and I enjoyed meeting everybody and the food was awesome!! Bert
I enjoyed meeting everyone too. Although I didn't get to talk to the opposite end of the table I enjoyed the conversation I had while keeping my little one corralled.
