what is the deepest you have ever caught a largemouth bass
The deepest I have ever caught a LMB is 18ft.
But, A buddy of mine regularly catches them in 35ft of water. I need to learn some of his techniques.
i have caught them in about 40ft. at lanier, but i have heard of people catchin them in 100+in strip pits and quarry
I have caught a few in strip pit that are 60+ ft. deep. I was in a kayak though so I don't know exactly where are how deep I caught them.
I caught 2 last week in over 50 ft. of water.
some strip pits round here are over 150' deep but i think they only have cats and bream in them, but i am more than willing to find out ;D
12ft
16 feet in the middle of a couple of big rocks
Less than 5-8 feet.
35+ft
25ft
40-45 feet on Rapala ice jig. Jigging for Wallye, so it was purley an accident.
15ft
While finesse fishing the clear waters in the SoCal reservoirs, I was catching 6 - 8 lb. florida strains in over 40+ feet. You have to bring them up slowly or you will kill them for sure. Even then swim bladders would bulge and have to be deflated to get the fish to swim again. ....
While here in Kansas the deepest fish I have caught is 20 feet, and I still bring them up to the boat slowly.
Tight Lines!
20 ft.
Around 35 feet with a dropshot. Between 20-35 feet is pretty common around here in the summer.
35 - 40ft.
60 to 65 ft in Lk Norfork, Ar in the winter
CPR ;D
this is smallmouth, but i know a guy who was downrigging for lakers in 100 fow and hooked a 5lb smallie, this is in northern ontario tho
Here in Indiana the deepest I've caught LMB is in around 30 ft of water.
I was wondering about the method of deflating the swim bladder...because sometimes in tournaments I'll catch 'em in 18 - 20 ft of water and they'll stay on their side in the livewell. I need to learn how to "deflate" these fish.
I'm gonna do a search right now...but in the meantime...if anyone has the correct way or method to deflate these fish...let me know please. Thanks
we have people come in to the store i work at saying they will get them at 50-60ft thats on lanier but every thing you can catch on lainer has to be deeper the like 25ft or at this time of year. earlyer this month they were catching stripers 100+ft in the tree top you have to find a hole in the tree tops to catch them.

1-2 feet of water
Deepest I have caught bass here in Arizona is around 100 feet of water spooning and dropshotting. We catch alot of our fish in the winter and summer in the 50-70 ft range.
There is a easier way to fizz your fish just take a fizz needle stick it down there throat between there crunchers and depress on the stomach. you will hear the air coming out of them . its also smart to throw them back right away or put them in the live well with the please release me now treatment to insure they dont go into shock.
there is another way and thats to barely hook them under the mouth with a big jig and let the jig take them down to 30+ foot of water them give the rod a fast snap ripping the hook put of there skin . hey it works.
probaly around 80% of the fish I catch are deeper than 30 ft and I have not lost to many fish in tournaments since I fizz my fish right away and use additives such as please release me now and if its in the summer time I keep lots of ice with me to keep them cool intellI can weigh them in
I would say 18'. Caught it this weekend on a dd22. Man that was fun.
45-55ft in the So. Cal areas and 45+ on Lake Travis in Tx. Gin clear water.
I caught some in 40+ feet of water
60+' Not my favorite way to fish and rarely do it anymore because the fish usually require fizzing.
0 feet.
I'm still a rookie so my deepest landed bass were all hooked with topwater.
I've caught about a dozen off my Dad's dock on a popper and those are the only ones I've ever caught. That is about to change, but so far, ya.
It's a very fun way to catch! I know of people who have never caught off TW so I guess I'm backwards.
Somewhere in the 45ft zip code fishing points/humps in SoCal. Mostly drop shot and jigs for me at that depth.
46' on a jigging spoon according to my Humminbird
Holy 14 year old thread! ????
I’m sure @J Francho will come up with something creative for this one.

Air temp 15 degrees. Water temp 43. That morning just barely lifting it up and down was the ticket. We caught 26 largemouth that day (slow day). Some days it takes snapping it up to get a reaction.
15 ft
Caught several bass one autumn day 40 foot on a submerged highway . Havent caught a bass there since .
