Starting to feel like I might never get to fish again in my lifetime.
Wow, pretty much none of that looks good.
"But on those ocassions I used The Force"
Your words Raul; don't take this lying down!
Oh well, I 'm shhtrooong in The Force but not THAT strong !.
So, with all this weather events ... me go play Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
Been playing Lego Batman all weekend with lil Raul and I neeed a shot of violence.
Gee Raul, it is 20 degrees here and snowing again. We already have about two feet on the ground and it will not be above freezing for at least another week. Can't hardly feel sorry for you. :
You're not going to get a lot of sympathy mi amigo - below is a recent photo of one of my lakes...
Hey Goose,
What's that funny green/brown stuff? Looks like something I saw a few months ago.
QuoteHey Goose,What's that funny green/brown stuff? Looks like something I saw a few months ago.
Ha - that's grass. We got above freezing enough to melt the snow on the ground...but not the ice on the lake. Actually - the lake in the photo has frozen-over three times this winter, with melts in-between. It just froze over again 2-3 days ago :-/
My offer to come up and do some Ice Fishing still stands, Raul.
In no way shape or form do I feel bad for you however. Like the saying goes- Until you have walked a mile in a man's shoes.... (or boots in this case);D
Now you guys get to see what a warm winter day is like in NY. I was catching largemouth through 8-10" of ice yesterday, and had a great time. We won't see open water for months. I do hope it warms up for you though, but only because I have a BWS tourny on Guntersville in < 2 weeks
Cold weather keeps the water cold, they will wait for you.
WRB
A balmy 76 degrees here today..
Sorry Raul... Hope ya feel better though..
Could be worse, you could be living in a northern state.
QuoteCould be worse, you could be living in a northern state.
X2 right now we're facing another winter storm warning. All-in-all I think I might be able to get the line wet in mid to late March I hope.
Raul,
Come to California. You have an open invitation any time.
I love it when it rains.out here in california,id gladly give up a weekend or 2 of bassin for some good rain, especialy cuz i hate winter fishing
Raul, you pranckster !
Any bait I would through out today on my lakes would be "TOP WATER", till about the end of March....
Here in Northeastern Pennsylvania, it's not even remotely close to bass fishing time. Maybe late April hopefully... I'm dying to fish. I think I might bring my rod to PetSmart and try to catch some Oscars !!!!!!!!!
Its freezin in Alabama for crap's sake!! I went out fishing on saturday and caught NADA - water temp down to 45 degrees, but at least no ice
I didnt feel as bad though cause all the pros are down here struggling just the same as my newB a$$
Last winter here water temp always in the 50's with good fishing all winter - bbaahhh - this winter has sucked! I need to move to florida or Cali 8-)
I blame that darn ground hog. He said we would get six more weeks.
We have had 25 inches of snow in the last 16 days. This sucks. Broke a record for most snow in a February for our area.
You really want an ***-beating, don't you Raul?
I haven't even had the weather to work outside, much less warm the boat up.
It was downright balmy today, up here. Must have hit mid 30s, LOL. It snowed, but nothing stuck.
Goin fishin Thursday....gonna be upper 50s maybe first 60s by mon-tues. lows still upper 30s-40s but calm and dry!!!!
i'm so glad i live in San Diego , Ca . ;D ;D ;D , i can fish 365 days a year . only time it is not to good to fish is when it rains hard , but i'm a diehard and don't let the rain bother me !!!
Boo friggin Hoo.

Oh just shut it
Jeez...all this whining! Try fourth Saturday in June before you can pitch for a bass (Legally) You guys are just used to too much good living!
Want some cheese to go with that whine ?
Amen
yep, more cheeze please
QuoteWant some cheese to go with that whine ?
A small piece of Stilton would be nice....or perhaps some Gouda? ..accompanied by a three year old Shiraz (as long as it's not French). A modest choice as you seem to have a monopoly on all other 'whine's'
Im smack in the middle of the worst snow storm in history in this part of the country.......... every city in this part of North East Ohio has a new Feb. snow record! And this entire time, Ive been ACHING to go fishing! so. grit the teeth, turn the race on, scream at the boys running circles instead, and keep posting until the sun comes back, and the snow goes away! ;D
Good Fishing....... nevermind........ Good Luck Thinking About Fishing! ;D
Every body has got cold wet weather.
I was lucky to get to work on the boat and practice casting this afternoon.
Cheers
