The sponsors really pulled through this year to really make the tackle packs and raffle absolutely outstanding!
I also want to thank Don Barone (DB) of ESPN for coming and spreading his humor. In addition, I want to thank Kevin Wirth and Bill Dance for almost coming. Kevin was at the lake, but came off the water too late to join us. And Bill's schedule conflicted with this event, otherwise he would have been there.
But it's a good sign of how popular this event is getting!
Nice bunch of stuff right there. Gotta love when sponsors do that kind of thing for the consumers.
You don't know how bad I wished I could have come
thanks for adding salt to the wound ;)LOL

Not just for the consumers, our sponsors donated extra stuff so we could also hold a raffle. The BR crew, a very generous one,....raised almost $1000 for CAST For Kids!!!!!!
You guys really blew me away with your kindness,....awesome.
Wow! You guys received some nice loot and gave away some as well. Bravo!
After seeing Burley's pictures and reading all the posts I HAVE to make it next year. Kentucky Lake was the best location for me to attend, but I couldn't make it this year. I cannot wait to see the video from this '09 outing, and I will start saving for next year's trip next week!
Sure rub it in why don't y'all
Much Jealous! :'(
Hey Burley-
What are you going to do with the 100 bottles of JJ's Magic you won in the raffle? Use it for aftershave?
Gonna use it to pick up Italian women when I visit Jimzee this summer.

Thats pretty darn awesome. I love it when people do stuff like that for kids. Mucho kudos.
Truly a genuine group! Kudos to everyone that attended, and by the looks of things, this was the best one yet.
and let's not forget Flechero and Bud for the "2 soldiers" rods!!!
Flechero built a custom rod for bassinsoldier and Bud went out and bought a carrot stick for bassinsergeant as a THANK YOU for their time in Iraq.

Wouldn't this work a lot better on those WV women?

You should've seen the one Speedbead caught, er uh, hooked.
He started yelling, "It's a Musky, I think it's a Musky!"
It turned out to be a pretty good sized pickerel. I guess it was good sized, I've never caught one before so I'm taking his word for it. He got it right to the boat and half out of the water when it came unglued.
Guys i dont know if anyone has posted about it yet but those EVO jigs paired with a spacemonkey and JJ's are a KILLER combo for fishing laydowns I caught the majority of my fish off this just testing it out and WOW i wont be using another jig setup unless i ABOSOLUTLY have to.
Hey B-Tech change your signmature we know you caught some.
OH yeah - Not enough I putz along alot.

That JJ's was especially killer when I walked into the room the evening after the Wed night dinner!
;D ;D

Well that's the perfect release for those things. They're slimy and toothy critters.
Btech on the EVo jigs subject I'm also really liking them. I paired mine with a flappin hog and had a really good day a couple days ago. I was out about 4 hours or so and landed four fish that had some good size.
Today was my first day back to work after attending the roadtrip.
I was bummin all day!
I had a great time, and that isn't including any of the fishing we got to do.
Not only did I get to meet some of the more famous BassResource.com characters, I got to meet Keri and Glenn, Russ, Scott, Kent, and Gene. Burley, and Jimzee, and Short Mike too. And Big-O, Speedbead, Bud, Senko 77, Cart7...etc....
Way to many names to list them all.
Just a great time all around. Everyone was nice to talk to, even Burley. It was over way to quick.
I cant wait for next year!
Yea, we were just getting to know each other, I say we go for 2 weeks next yr!! ;D
Sounds like a PLAN Russ.

Who's a sponsor who sells Ol' Nellie Baits?
JJ's Magic.

I dont think I trust it as aftershave, I recently read were the tails of several baits fell off after being dipped in JJ'S. Then again maybe the garlic would dispatch of that ex-wife vampire of mine thats sucking the life right out of me. Aftershave huh ? maybe it worth a shot.

It (JJ's) will dissolve 3x and cyberflexx plastics, all others are fine
