List a few from the Forums and tell why. Should get some good results and thought it might be fun.
Hmm let's see
Definitely Catt at Toledo bend In the summer for structure fishing
Everythingthatswims cuz this kid is one heck of an outdoorsman. And can catch whatever he decides too that day.
Hootie cuz he seems like a character and would be fun to fish with
A-jay cuz he has a nice new boat and shouldn't have any problem putting us on the fish
Wrb to try for a dd bass
That's all for now but I've got more
The list is very long. Don't want to leave anyone out unintentionally. You know who you are.
And the great thing about the BR forums is that while reading your report posts, looking at pics & watching your videos - it's almost like I'm there with you.
Almost.
A-Jay
probably Montanero
He is a fellow WVU fan and also enjoys chasing trout as well
Have a feeling we know some of the same people in real life
Kent would be my second choice
I would love to catch some huge smallies on live shiners

That would be a great start no doubt. Heck there are many that I wouldn't mind letting on my boat. Or we could go on theirs. I get so into the fishing I probably wouldn't be any good company. I wouldn't even know who was fishing with me. Can we have name tags?
A-Jay because his philosophy and style seems to jibe pretty well with mine. Plus I wouldn't have to drive very far.
SemperBass for much the same reason.
CGRINDER so when we weren't busy catching fish we could fill the void with talk of The Metal.
Really a lot more, this is just in my state...
Uh! Glenn how do I link to the members list?
One thing on my bucket list is to catch Smallmouth!
There are quite a few that I have already fished with. And just as many that I would love to fish with. Think older, wiser, better fishermen than myself! Best way to get better, is to surround yourself with people who push you to be better!
Jeff
The two on my list would be WayneP and A-Jay. Wayne has an incredible knowledge of electronics and learning from him would be awesome. As far as A-jay goes, he just seems like a cool guy to hang out with and besides, he has that fancy new boat now
Catt, A-jay, WRB, probably any mod, and anyone who likes my wise-acre remarks. I can get on people's nerves being sarcastic and never taking things too seriously but I've got a good pair of listening ears too. And Glenn of course. And any bankers who make the best of what they got.
Fishchris
In no particular order: Catt, to learn and tell stories.
AJ: Simply because we like to fish at night and his positive attitude In general.
Dwight Hottle: I would dearly love to throw jerkbaits all day with the man. This bait Is a weakness and To me there would be no better teacher.
Mike Seibert : Fine tune my jig skills and talk fishing all day with a genuinely great person.
Scaleface: He likes older and sometimes vintage baits. I truly like the simplicity he employs In his fishing.
There are many more as this Is a great community!
I like many others will state,... alot, and thats because of the interest that we all have, to be here to begin with.
With that said,...A-Jay cuz he seems to fish alot like i do and lives closeby., Gets to fish northern waters, like myself. And although he bought a awesome rig that doesnt come into play here. Its his attitude, integrity, and due dillegence.
Catt, because he's extremely knowledged, and I once had fished with a guy named Larry from Lake Charles LA, and we had a blast. Cuttin up and catching fish with him was a day I wont forget. (And Catt "seems" to be like Larry), But that aside, I think I'd be learning some lessons, and I can appreciate that, as Im usually providing info.
Nitro,..because he is a standup guy that offers his time, resources, and patriotism to get veterans out fishing. (kudos to you sir) and he seems to be attentive on really understanding bass. Reminds me of myself many years ago.
WRB because he knows big bass are a different animal. Most anglers think that Big bass are "just" bass that guys get lucky catching. I know different, catching big fish is a extremely dilegent task, If you make one mistake, even the smallest one, your done. Fishing with anglers that dont know this? make those mistakes, and it can really ruffle your feathers, when you put them on big fish and they screw it up.
Any of the mods,... because first of all, they have put forth the effort to provide this site for us. I for one, cant thank you guys enough. They obviously have grasped enough bass angling knowledge in their areas, most likely have a well rounded list of techniques, and Im sure, I would enjoy their company, as I too am as passionate about this diverse sport as I can be.
I have yet to meet a truely passionate about this sport angler I didnt get along with. Sure you wont agree with everyone, and when you first meet not everyone gets along.,..But In general, its easy to sit back and talk fishing with another angler.,.to invite them on my boat? I usually need to meet them first.
But my list? These guys are welcome on my boat anytime, They have earned my respect ,..and like I stated up front,..alot more. This "list" is just the guys off the top of my head, there are more and you know who you are,... but I dont wanna go to long with this post as I always do.
Not neccasarilly in this order:
@A-Jay, he seems like an all around extremely knowledgable guy.
@Cattbecause of his skills at deep water structure fishing which is my biggest weakness.
@Team9nine his skills at finesse fishing and his knowledge of the scientific side of fishing.
@WRBto learn about how to catch big bass.
I'm kinda with A-Jay. Too many people on here are super knowledgable and seem to have good temperament that I'd feel bad leaving anyone out. Anyone who can teach me something, or offer a different, interesting perspective while I'm on the water would be more than welcome.
@Catt. Smallmouth rock! What are the odds we can get a Bass Resource trip together up north? Maybe somewhere like Champlain where 5lb largemouth and smallmouth are common.
Way too many to list them all.
@kickerfish1 @Siebert Outdoors and @WRB Cause we share a love of jig fishing
@roadwarrior @Dwight Hottle @S Hovanec Because I've never caught a big brown fish
@Big-O Because giant texas hawgs....
@Catt Because I respect you a lot and, besides, who wouldn't want to fish with the master on the master fishery?
@Bluebasser86 Because you always seems to catch everything and I need to learn the chatterbait
@A-Jay @00 mod cause we could catch some double digits and then go work out afterwards #BeastMode
@Glenn Because #Respect
@Raider Nation Fisher and @slonezp Just for the heck of it
And anyone who loves throwing big baits cause I've always wanted to try huge swimbaits.
WRB. I wouldn't make a single cast. I'd just watch and listen.

Wait, raider actually bass fishes?
I think it would have to be @Mainebass1984. That dude consistently catches some huge north country bass and I feel like he eventually will catch a state record. I would love to learn a thing or two from him.
Lotsa folks I'd like to spend a day with but if I had to pick just one.........Hootie. I just think that would be a fun day
Is want to fish with Raul on some of those Mexican lakes! I've been chasing a dd for years now and have come SO CLOSE, but I would love to have a crack at some of those south of the border bass and I think I could make it happen. Also wrb for the same reason. I've gotten on a kick where I would rather catch one over 6 than 10 over 2 lbs and these two guys both live where and know how to catch the trophies
I'd fish with @whitwolf if he'd give up dem ringworms!
If we're being honest here, I'd rather fish alone. No disrespect to anyone on the forums. I tend to be unfiltered and brutally honest and I rub a lot of people the wrong way. Don't like many people either. Before going fishing, I'd much rather sit down for a drink with a few guys. The short list would be A Jay, Dwight, Retiredbosn, Catt, and Fishing Rhino. I feed on knowledge and experience and believe I could be entertained and educated by these folks. Not necessarily about fishing either. It doesn't always have to be about fishing.

Exactly!
I don't play well with others, it seems others have a problem with losing!
After fishing some Cajun cooking, a fire outside, a cigar, & Bourbon!

Catt, say the word and I'll send you several packages. You have always shared your knowledge, always been very helpful, and as much as anything you have always given the members here an education and asked nothing In return.
@A-Jay . Ha-ha everyone wants to fish with you ! I tend to agree. Seem like a pretty positive and knowledgeable dude. And one of the very few I've yet to see criticize somebody.

God blessed me with a talent, to take it to the grave & not share it would be a disgrace!
I wouldn't even open those worms!
That's part of our history & someone needs to preserve it!
Anyone I could learn from, or anyone I could teach.

I am of course Flattered & Humbled by each vote of confidence & every kind word.
Hadn't set out to be rich, popular, highly educated or perfect.
Priorities are to be real, humble & strong and to be able to share and touch the lives of others.
I'm happy and content with that.
A-Jay
I would want to fish with Junk Fisherman (X-190) and A-Jay (Pro-V Bass) for their boats (and to get to know them better too) and Road Warrior to fish River smallmouth Tender Tubes and Phantom Hooks.
I'd go fishing with a knowledgeable seasoned man in a old beat up canoe. The boats are cool but come on man..
Fishchris because hehas caught more dd bass than most of put together. And we both are almost exclusively spinning reel users.
And raul because being mexican my self i think it would be an awesome experience to fish down south
Glenn
Ajay
Catt
Rolo
Roadwarrior
Tom
Siebert
Those would be the gentlemen I would choose to fish in an eyeblink. They all seem to need some help from me.
I like to fish with humble folks who know their business. The kind of people who share information freely because it helps others.
With that said, I have a list of guys I think have demonstrated this character at least in my mind.
Ghoti
Paul Roberts
Clayton
Jrob78
Dwight H.
JeffH
A-Jay
Team9nine
Deaknh
Tim - the Georgia boy
I am sure I have missed several others that I have had the opportunity to speak with here and other places that would be nice to spend a day on the water with.
I've had the chance to fish with several members, and plan to keep expanding that list. I enjoy reading nearly everyone's input on the forums and everyone has their Q&Q's that I can appreciate and I think would make a fishing trip with them enjoyable.
If I was to choose for my own selfish reasons, I'd like to fish with Dwight or Big-O in hopes of finding one of those monster brown or green fish they're each so adept at finding.
everythingthatswims, because we live less than an hour apart, and hes a boss!
I've been lucky enough to fish with several Bass Resource members in the last few years.
Roadwarrior
Glenn
Long Mike
Big O
CJ
Lee H
riskkid
FishinRhino
Maltese Falcon
Mac
Mike Siebert and wife Julie
BassinChris
PapaJoe
If I've forgotten anybody, I can only blame it on old age and impending decrepitude, and offer my most sincere apologies.
Going forward, if anybody invites me along to fish with them, I will most gratefully accept. If there's one thing I've learned from the many days I've had on the water with this diverse group, it's that good folks are found everywhere. I've made some life-long friends here at Bass Resource; even though they've all out-fished me.
Here's a quick, off the top of my head list, of BR members I'd like to fish with, in no particular order. I've fished for a long time, but there's always something to be learned, and you CAN teach this old dog new tricks.
J Francho; I haven't fished his area of the country, and would like to do so. Besides, if a drummer and a bass player can't get along; who can?
Catt; doesn't play well with others? I'm calling BS on that, dude!!
Dwight H; never fished Erie, and Dwight seems to be the absolute best guy around to break me in on that awesome fishery.
WRB, who wouldn't want to fish with a guy who's caught so many trophies? I'd like to see, up close and personal, how a dedicated trophy hunter goes about his craft.
slonezp; brutally honest, opinionated, rubs people the wrong way? Bring it on amigo. I'll match ya, blow for blow. LOL
A Jay; just because.
I could list a lot more, but I'll stop there. You all will get tired of my ramblings.
Keep in mind that the trip isn't over when the fishing is done. we still have to go back to the cabin, uncork a bottle or three of good wine, and have a nice meal. You'll probably out-fish me, but, chances are, you won't out-cook me.
I have fished with, and become friends with a nice group of guys from here. My list of guys I would like to fish with is based on the fact that I find them interesting and some might provide a good foil.
Fishchris
Slonezp
Ghoti
Ajay
Jfrancho
Flyfisher
Iabass8
There are more but with so many members it's tough to recall everyone. I would feel privileged to be able to take raider out and help him pop his cherry and catch a lmb.
^lol
Considering I have never actually met anyone on this forum in person, I don't know how comfortable I'd be in a boat with someone that only exists in the world of virtual reality bass fishing. I generally do not engage in activities with complete strangers lol

For those of us who have been around for years, many of these guys are not strangers at all, whether we've met in person or not. It is a long list I would like to spend a day on the water with. Like A_Jay, I will not try to list them all.

I actually considered listing you and Long Mike. I figure going fishing with the 2 of you would be cheaper than going to college.
I like fishing with @BankBassing
I've been fortunate to have fished with Big O, Mike @Siebert, Long Mike and Brian Needham and would do it again in a heartbeat. Anywhere any time.
Jrob, iabass8, Raul, Catt, Papa Joe, .00mod, .ghoti, slonezp, Roadwarrior, BassnChris, Rhino, Dwight Hottle, WRB, riskid, Glenn, J franco, MemphisFF, Bassin is Addicting, and A Jay are just a few that come to mind as I've met most of them already.
Just look at the roster of members, that's who I'd fish with.
Mike
There are A LOT of guys I would like to fish with here. In time, I hope to fish with as many as I can. I would love to go jig fishing with some of the guys on this board and aim for a great top 5 bass pic...or if we bomb, just a fun time. Would be fun to keep an album of those good times.
Might not be a bad idea to have this thread, or a future thread dedicated with pictures of members fishing together!
Shimmy
@Sam I'm pretty new to bass fishing and he's always been there to answer any question I might have. I can say I'm a better angler thanks to him.
@A-Jay probably one of the most knowledgeable guys on here. Would love just to sit and learn.
Are we allowed to push them in the water & motor away as they tread water? If so, then the list would be much different than if I had to play nice.
The "Play Nice" list:
Gulf Captain - Lives fairly close, seems like a nice guy and is one of 6 people in all of Southern California that likes bass fishing.
Scaleface - Close in age and has a similar history with bass fishing as I do.
Slonezp - He was dead on about what a jerk a certian pro is, something I didn't believe until I met the pro.
Bluebasser & TeamNine9 - Their posts convinced me to try the Ned rig, so I owe them.
@Big-O! I wanna catch a bass of a lifetime!
I'd fish with any one on here who would buy me lunch. Not a task for the meek........
On 9/12/2016 at 8:56 AM, ww2farmer said:I'd fish with any one on here who would buy me lunch. Not a task for the meek........
We are going to taco Bell. And I expect you to eat off the value menu.
Glenn, the guy/guide in Mexico who says his clients only use spinning reels and catch mammoth sized bass, and any kayak fishermen.
WRB! this guy has more info about bass fishing, bass behavior, lake-reservoir knowledge than anyone I have seen on here. and being from Ca it's nice to hear regional info.
On 9/12/2016 at 2:42 AM, slonezp said:I actually considered listing you and Long Mike. I figure going fishing with the 2 of you would be cheaper than going to college.
Cheaper? You betcha. Dont know what you expect you'd learn from the two of us. Wine drinking, advanced sarcasm, professional level BS'ing, and how to not catch fish and still have a good time. If you're up for that, then we are your men. Anytime bud.
On a serious note, I've fished with Mike more than any other BR member. A lot more. We live about 600 miles apart, and still seem to get together 3 or 4 times every year. Except for the last year, while Mike has been taking care of his wife. I am delighted to be able to say Marlene has made what has to be called a miraculous recovery, and brother Mike is once more able to get out and go fishing.
Glenn............ of course!!!
Two off the top of my head would be:
- Mark Zona - because it's Mark Zona.
- WRB - because he seems to be an encyclopedia of bass knowledge and I would learn the most.
I could probably learn a thing or two from everyone on this forum!
waytoslow and waynep
fishing is easy but maximizing your boat and electronics use is a bit easier if you have an expert with you once to learn.
Probably A-jay, Dwight, Catt, Steve Parks - the usual suspects. There's a few guys local to me that keep meaning to get out with, but we never quite hook up. Mostly, I'd like to show them something different - northern pike in a kayak. Casting shallow for salmon, browns, steelhead, and smallmouth - all in the same spots. Dwight knows a little about this mish-mosh of species in transition seasons. It's fun. Next cast could be 4# smallmouth, or a 40# king!
Glenn - He seems knowledgeable and knows a lot of people in the industry. I'm sure he has some great stories to tell
Francho - He's somewhat local and I'm hoping to meet up with him next month and chase some torpedos in the creeks
WRB - This man is an encyclopedia of knowledge
Dwight - This man probably knows Erie better than anyone, and pulling footballs up from the depths is fun
Montaro - Another fairly local guy and I know we've fished some of the same waters. I'm sure we could share some spots.
Raul - Those Mexican fat girls sound like a lot of fun and I'm sure he could show me how to catch them
Bluebasser - He seems like he knows his stuff and is always catching some nice fish
A-Jay and Catt - both seem like great guys
WPC - We both have similar tastes in gear
Preytorian - We both write fishing articles, so it would be cool to bounce ideas off him
Rippin-Lips and 5fish - We could debate Shimano vs Daiwa all day
I'm probably forgetting a few, but I've encountered a lot of guys on this website throughout the years.
As said I would start with the members list, sort by start date, that would put me @Glenn, I would work my way down the list.
My brother Devinfishing29. He hasn't been on here in forever but he's my brother so I would rather fish with him than anyone else. I actually went fishing with him yesterday.
Catt for sure! I wouldnt have to book a guide when I take a plane down to Toledo Bend this spring! Plus, I'll supply the cigar and bourbon haha There are too many guys on here that are WAY better and more knowledgeable about every aspect of what I aspire to be.
Bluebasser, so he can show me some of the finer points of fishing with the bladed jigs he made for me. I feel bad he sent me a couple great lures this last off season and my wife rearranged the garage storage. Just found them and hope to get out soon to try them out!
Surprised no one mentioned fishing with me so I could lecture them on how much their favorite fishing line actually stretches !!
PrimeTime .I enjoy his post and read them closely .
Also Aldo Rosado would be an interesting guy . I would have paint some rattle Traps pink .
Several guys here that I'd love to fish with, although I think we'd be talking, laughing and drinking more than fishing.
quite a few, but definitely:
@Bluebasser86 he catches everything, every trip!
@kickerfish1 - he might let me fish one or two of those sweet combos he's got!
@00 mod - hopefully he'd blindfold me and take me to that Donkey Factory!
@Dwight Hottle - for the smallmouth of a lifetime!
@Wayne P. - to master the electronics and also the wacky worm!
Me!
or Gene, or Catt, or Glenn, or Siebert, or Francho, or slonezp, or everybody... Cause I can learn something from all of them.
