I am just curious as to what anglers are the most popular. I thought it might be a fun post if it hasn't already been asked 1000 times.
I would love to fish with KVD at my home lake of Greers Ferry. I have been fishing there my whole life and would love to see what he would do differently. IMO he is the best bass fisherman in the world and obviously has a lot of experience finding fish in unknown water.
The second one would be SHaw Grigsby on a big bass lake in Mexico or in Venice, La catching redfish. I just saw his Venice show today but that is one of my favorite fishing trips. I am going to Venice in 2 weeks and can't wait. I chose SHaw simply b/c I think he would be fun to fish with. "Thats a big Ol PIG!!" , I can hear him say it now.
The KVD trip would be a learning experience and the Shaw trip would be more for fun.
So what about you?
I would like to go fishing with Kent ( Roadwarrior ) n ' lend him my Daiwa rees, I would like to go with Russ ( Low_Budget ) and lend him my obscenly priced tackle.
Who knows ? maybe I can turn them both to the DARK SIDE.
As far as pro's go I would like to fish with:
David Fritts so I could learn some crankin techniques.
Denny Braurer so I could learn the jig better.
Ive met quite a few bass pros. Id go with Roland Martin or KVD on Lake El'Salto hahah :
I would like to fish with Al Linder and buddies on one of those 2week day light to dark jumping from lake to lake fishing for everything.
And KVD or Arron Martins practicing for something important that they need to include me in the thinking proccess.
Garnet
Just like Fight Club...lol
I hope it doesn't necessarily have to be a pro.
I'd fish with George Perry when and where he caught the record. Not to settle it once and for all but because it would be like reliving history.
I would fish with one pro and that would be Ike, not for the learning but you know it would have to be fun!
J
Option One
Jimmy Houston
Kevin VanDam
Anywhere
Option Two
Roland Martin
Hank Parker
Anywhere
Option Three
Woo Daves
Zell Roland
James and Chickhominy Rivers in Virginia
Option Four
Any two pros
Anywhere in the World
Opps!
I forgot Ike.
I will fish with Ike under any weather conditions; night or day; any place in the world; his boat or mine.
You just got to love Ike and his skills and understanding of the game.

Ike is up there for me too. I have City Limits DVR'ed and he rocks.
i'd pick the 2 best fishermen in history... in my opinion... Bill Dance and Kevin Van Dam... they are both my idols in fishing...
if i couldnt have one of those id choose hank parker and mike iaconnelli...
Alex
I have had the pleasure of fishing with Jimmy Houston on Santee Cooper in 2006. That was by far the best fishing trip that I have ever been on. If I got to choose another to fish with it would be Zell Rowland. He seems to be a down to earth type of guy. If I had to choose another it would be KVD because he is one of the best there is. And I would have to fish on my home lake Santee Cooper in the middle of the summer.
I would love to fish with Kevin Vandam and Hank Parker on any lake in PA. I would like to learn from them and see how they would approach the lakes I fish.
ME,MYSELF and I. Lake Erie. Other peoples opinions pollute my own thoughts. I am not trying to be "THAT GUY". I want a win or victory of any kind to be self initiated and self taught. I love fishing with my dad and friends most.
I would have to say Ike and Bill Dance at Hartwell. To me this is the legend and the future legend.
-searoach
have u ever been to venice?
My vote would be=
KVD
Larry Nixon or for a fun time Jimmy Houston
Quotehave u ever been to venice?
Yes, I am going three times this year including a trip in 2 weeks. IMO its one of the best fishing trips there is with light tackle. I love redfish and really like trout as well. I have fished lakes all over the south, been to the Cayman Islands, Cedar Key, and Gulf Shores. Venice is by far the best sportfishing I have ever encountered.
KVD and Rick Clunn
On my home waters of the Mississippi River. I would love to pick their brains when they're trying to figure out new water.
Clay Dyer-Lake X
Capt. Norm Isaacs-Kona coast
um if I could chose anyone it would Mike long and Rob Belloni(this guy does great reviews on swimbaits and tackle)
on there home waters in cali. I would love just watching these guys fish let alone fish with them,
David Fritts - he's the crankbait king and I'd like to see how he approaches deep structure
Any Lindner brother - those dudes catch everything and everything they catch is huge
i fish delicroix island. its an hour from venice with the same fishing enviroment. it truly is a sportsmans paradis. i would tell anyone to visit us in southest la. redfish, trout, and bass all out the same hole. its awesome rod bending action. r you goin on a charter?
After thinking about this a little bit more I would choose Scott Martin and my son (JCrzy4Bass). We are actually looking into making this happen. Scott has a guide service and we are looking into planning a trip next year.
QuoteI would choose Scott Martin and Kevin Van Dam.
I hungout with Scott Martin several years ago. He was filming a show in Arkansas and we had a few beers and played many games of pool. He was a cool guy and a lot of fun to be around. Unfortunately we have never fished together. I just happened to meet him at a local sports bar.

I usually go with Andy Mnichowski or Bobby Warren. I am leaving on June 6th and am fishing with Andy's brother.
When we go back in October we are going to try Capt. Boolah.
I fell in love with this kind of fishing. Catching a 40" red on 7'M spinning rod is just too much fun! I can't wait.
kevin vandam and jimmy houston. kevin vandam becuase he is my favorite fisherman and he is from my homestate. i would liketo see how he catches fish in some of my home lakes back in michigan. and would also like to see him catch fish here in new mexico. jimmy houston because that guy cracks me up hes hillarious. i think it would just be a good time.
I would loved to have fished with my father one more time before he passed away. We had some great trips together but he was taken from this earth much too soon. Man, the stories he could tell...!
Al Lidner on a northern lake for a variety of fish.
Larry Dhalberg. Venezuela. Golden Dorado on the Uruguay River.
Flip Pallot. Florida. Tarpon, snook and jacks deep in the Everglades.
the two anglers i would go fishing with would have to be mike ike on indian lake, and casey ashley on mosquito lake.
#1 for me would be KVD. He has said Lake St. Clair was his favorite lake. I'd love to see how he would fish my back yard.
#2 would be Skeet Reese. I'd love to go fishing with him on the Delta or Clear Lake.
Falcon
Take a Soldier Fishing Tournament on Toledo Bend on July 12th 2008 with Wesley (I'm working on it Dude).
Starting with our boss Glenn & then the other 14,999 members at Bass Resource.com
Oh yea y'all wanna catch some speck & reds y'all need to come down to Calcasieu (Big Lake) in Southwest Louisiana. The Oh Boy! Oberto Redfish Cup Tournament is here now!
KVD - No need to explain why. I would fish with him on any lake with heavy cover when the fish were tight to the cover.
Gerald Swindle - I think he would be a trip to fish with. I would fish anywhere.
Maltese- I got a chance to fish with Skeet recently on Clarks Hill and all I can say is he is a machine!
QuoteI would like to go fishing with Kent ( Roadwarrior ) n ' lend him my Daiwa rees, I would like to go with Russ ( Low_Budget ) and lend him my obscenly priced tackle.Who knows ? maybe I can turn them both to the DARK SIDE.
Yeah...
There are a few dozen guys on this Forum thay I would like to fish
with, and I have already had the opportunity to fish with a few! I'm
not going to list anyone because I would certainly leave too many
out, but I would rather fish with you guys than with any pro, seriously.
8-)
#1 Has got to be, without a shadow of doubt, Kevin Van Dam!!! Heck, he's taught me more from a DVD than I've ever learned anywhere else! ;D
#2 would be Bill Dance; because mabey he would fall off the boat, crack his leg off the trailer hitch, loose his trolling motor in the lake, fall in the lake while trying to put a battery on the boat, have a snake fall in his lap, etc..... ;D You just can't get any funnier than that!!!!
My dad got the bug burning for bassin when I was six, thats over 40 years ago.
I'd love to have my Dad around for another trip.
The second person would be my mother, the other huntrer/fishermen in the family who could hang with anyone. My mom made at least 2 trips to Mexico a year in the 70's for bass. She was die hard as well.
I was blessed to have come from parents who enjoyed the passion.
flip pallott
rick murphy
anywhere down here. those guys truly love the environment and can flat out catch 'em!
George W. Bush An avid bass fisherman, and a historical leader who has faced numerous challenges to our country. Fishing anywhere for bass.
Dick Cheney I figure a fishing trip would be safer than a hunting trip with the VP. Fishing anywhere for bass.
I would say KVD or Hank Parker on my hometown lake
I second Zel's reasoning for Dick Cheney! Hunting would be hazardous to your health! Hilarious!

That's some deep stuff man-----great post!
Billy Westmoreland on Dale Hollow
Al Linder up north somewhere.
I'd go with Charlie Moore, so I could whip his butt! ;D
No seriously, any pro would be fun just to see how they attack your home water.
I'd like to fish with FishChris on a good day, I just want to catch a monster!
Catt would be the first and there are too many others to list on this site.
This is an open invitation to any and all members that happen to show up in the East Texas area there is at least one open seat in my boat.
Jose Wejibe and Larry Dahlberg.
George W Bush and Vic Mackey.
The two people I would like to fish with are;
Pros;
1: Ish Monroe, this guy is insane, and he has to be a blast to fish with, he is totally himself on the water!
2: Steve Kennedy, because he killed the elite series last year, with his win on Clear Lake, which is my home lake!
Place:
Clear Lake, California. about 120 miles North from San Fransisco, and 120 west of Sacramento! This has been called, "the bass capital of the west" for good reason! Big bass, and lots of them!
People I would like to fish with from the forums;
1. Big M, he is a pretty awesome guy, with a talent for making some really nice crank baits!
2. anyone else, everyone here is so d**n awesome! Especially to people who need a little help, now and again!
Same location as above!
it would be gerald swindle on my home waters for fun he seems layed back or quinn I guess any pro would be great though how would they do were i can fight some times
I have 3...
KVD, just to see how he'd approach some of my home lakes. I still can't believe how fast he works crankbaits and spinnerbaits.
Jimmy Houston, backcountry fishing in the Everglades for Snook, Tarpon, Redfish, and trout. That would be an awesome awesome time.
Al Lindner on his Northern lakes. That guy knows so much and is so incredibly good at finding fish, I just know I'd be twice as good at fishing after a couple outings with him. He seems like a great guy too.
Al and Ron Lindner. They are such pioneers in the sport. I would want to fish with them on either Rainy lake, or Gull Lake, or on the Upper Miss for some smallmouth.
My two would be bill dance and hank parker, also like roland martin.
Hank Parker and bill dance are the guys who taught me to fish when I was a kid. It would give me a chance to thank them for keeping me hot to fish after all these years.
I wouldn't want to fish with a pro.I'd like to fish with my father-in law and brother-in-law who are both great bassmen.I'd like to fish at Lake Notchee just outside of Natchez,MS.
Pros:
Shaw Grigsby
Hank Parker
Where, any place I could get in their boat with them. But specifically,
anywhere in Texas or Mexico.
Others:
My Dad, if he was still alive
Anyone from this forum, you are all like family in MHO
Rick Clunn and Ike, Woo Daves is a close 3rd.
KVD anywhere they are bitting!
Steve Kennedy on Clear Lake in CA with swim baits.
I'd like to fish with Bill Dance and Mike Iacconelli on Lake Ochachobee(sp?). Both are saints among men.
Dang...There are a lot of Hank Parker fans!!! I like him too, but he doesn't make the cut for me.
I forgot about Scott Rook. He owns the Arkansas River. I have fished a few tournaments against him and he pulls fish out of thin air. I would pay good money for him to show me what he does.
Kevin VanDam; any bass lake Why? because it's KVD and I need the help!!
Mark Zona; El Salto Why? because he has so much d**n fun.
Bill Dance and Roland Martin. It would not matter where. I grew up watching them on TV and would love a chance to fish them. Anyone see the episode of Deal or No Deal with Roland Martin? I would have hit the deal button so fast they would've needed a highspeed camera to catch it. A new bass boat and a fishing trip to Florida with Roland Martin. How does someone pass that up?
X2 after watching the flamish cupQuoteKevin VanDam; any bass lake Why? because it's KVD and I need the help!!Mark Zona; El Salto Why? because he has so much d**n fun.
#2 would be RW[roadwarrior and fish chris]
QuoteX2 after watching the flamish cupQuoteKevin VanDam; any bass lake Why? because it's KVD and I need the help!!Mark Zona; El Salto Why? because he has so much d**n fun.
me too
i saw it on the WORLD'S GREATEST FISHING SHOW
BEAST
rick clunn: nuf' said.
KVD to watch that guy cover water. I want to learn his tricks to a lipless crankbait...besides throwing them 4,000 times in a day lol
Denny Braur. Being an avid jig fisherman, I'd love to see the jig master at work.
I'd like to fish with both on Falcon Lake or Toledo Bend.
I'd also fish with KVD on my home lake and probably Steve Kennedy on el Salto
Harshman
I think I would have to choose some master hawgers rather than professional tournament fishermen. My choices would be two people from these forums.
Randall and fourbizz
I would want to fish where they normally catch their hawgs.
I would fish with Ike on Lake Champlain and KVD anywhere anytime
KVD to learn.....Hank Parker for fun.
1. Red Fisher... He had those fishing shows on up here in Canada in the 60's thru the 80's from Scuttlebutt Lodge. Years later he admitted half the time while fishing with old hockey players (also T. Williams and Roger Maris) they were half in the bag from the whiskey.
Venezuelan peacock bass.
My Dad, and my friend Diallo.
Bill Dance, KVD, Gerald Swindel, Luke Clausen, Hank Parker, Paul Elias, Mike Ike, Roland Martin, Denny or Chad, Rick Clun, David Frits, Doug Hannon, Bob Lusk, ect. ect. ect. anywhere, anytime. Call Me!!!!!
Me???? I'd like to fish with my 14 year old daughter and my wife.
My daughter because she is such a great person and fun to be around.
My wife because she would have loved it. She was taken from us far too early in life but I wish I could have taken her out bass fishing even just once. She loved salmon fishing but I think she would have loved bass fishing even more. I'd like to think she is watching when my daughter catches a few. That would put a smile on my face.
I'm hoping to take my daughter fishing again soon. Someone stole my trolling motor and I can't afford one so that will unfortunately have to wait but I'm hoping soon. Very soon!!!!!
IKE AND THE G-MAN...What a blast of a day that'd be.
"NEVER GIVE UP...."
