Am I the only one who plays with their new rods, reels and baits? I'm talking about at home, I'll break em out of the package just to see what the action may be like. I wiggle and shake them, imagining a humongous bass B-lining from the depths to eat my new secret weapons!
Will any admit that they also turn into a little boy again when the Tackle Warehouse order arrives?
P.S. I just gave my new swimbait a good shake and jiggle, no doubt about it's gonna bring the big girls out to play!
I do it all the time. My wife thinks I'm nuts.

Well at least you and I have this safe space where wives are not allowed to make fun of us.
I sit in the parking lot , examining my new purchases .
Sometimes, in the winter, I'll put my reels on different rods... Just to see what they look like.

My wife KNOWS I'm nuts...so there's that.

Looks? Except for the power, all three of my BC rods are the same model. I will admit to changing them around in thought to decide which speed with which power...but always go back to the original setup.
Nah! Never ????
I sit and play with a curly tail grub running through my fingers most nights. Wife at 1st thought it was odd now its just part of our norm.

I'm still trying to find a rod line that I can stick with. I have black ones, green ones, silver ones. Eva handles, cork, winn grips. White reels, black reels, silver reels. Clear line, green line, yellow line. The possibilities are many lol.
Who doesn’t? They are the crazy ones
Ok.....I do pull and stretch on a Z-MAN ElazTech but it's not out of hand.
I put line on them and get them in the boat ASAP before my wife sees them and asks where it came from.

Ah, yes. I work 2nd shift and cross my fingers that UPS will arrive before I have to leave, so she doesn't come home from her 9-5 to another rod tube on the porch...

Benefit to working mids, I'm almost always home when the brown truck shows up.

My son gets home from school before my wife and I get home from work. He knows to put Daddies packages in the basement and the rest of the mail on the kitchen table.
You are normal to us 1%ers of the world. I love Messing with tackle. My lady is really cool about my fishing. I try to be reasonable but either way she has never told me no.

Boys and their toys...
Zara Spooks make good submarines in the bathtub, just make sure you remove the hooks first.

Difference between men & boys is the price of their toys!
I don't know if I would call it "playing" with my tackle like the wife does but everything's Cocked, Locked, & ready to Rock!
I like to occasionally sniff a new pack of worms but I don’t play with them ( much )????
I lay my new fishing rods on the floor beside my bed just before going to sleep.
Cold winter nights at our house. TV gets boring for me pretty quickly anymore. My wife likes to watch a few shows that I'd never watch. So, I'm usually either reading something about fishing, or messing with my tackle. I organize, clean reels, spool new line, sharpen hooks etc. Usually I'm more than ready when it comes time to fish again.
I've got some time flipping, pitching and casting off our deck at the house
I don't. Closest I get is opening the Plano with all the crank baits and looking at the pretty colors. I plan on fishing all winter too so I doubt I'll get cabin fever enough to do that.
I have a work table next to my rod racks and tackle. Sometime I’ll just sit there and look through my boxes. They always look the same as they did before.
No self-respecting bass angler would ever do that! ????????
Nope.

That Tackle Warehouse rod tube is great at protecting rods, but the only way to hide it is to burn that indestructible thing.????
You’re not the only one!
Ah.... no.
