Since the cabin fever has clearly set in for some, time to start talking about the annual official, unofficial Bassresource road trip! It's going to be at Table Rock Lake, MO on April 21st and 22nd (but you can obviously stay longer if you'd like). I have a pretty good sized group of local KC area guys already planning on going, and I believe @roadwarrior @.ghoti. and possibly even @J Francho might be there. We'd be happy to have anyone that wanted to be there. Just want to put the idea in everyone's minds and give you something to get it your mind off the cold
And a couple pictures from our trip this previous spring to help your decision.
Man I have to make it that way one yr for sure!
Looking forward to the trip and will be staying a few more days.
That's on my birthday and I just so happen to have a 3 day weekend that week. Decisions decisions
Any idea where you'll be launching from yet?
If we go Id like to stay in a rv resort near there
Mike
Sounds fun, wish one day this road trip would come to california, either clear lake or the Delta.

Most likely somewhere in the Kimberling City or Branson area. I usually stay in Kimberling City area.

Thanks

I am going to try and make this.
Bit of a hike for me.
Just under 14 hours & 1,000 miles -
Hope you guys have safe travels, great weather and Hammer them !

This is right in my wheelhouse but I already have PTO planned for April 29th - May 4th to go to Table Rock with my wife. We do a Spring and Fall trip every year. It will be pretty difficult for me to get off the previous week also with the PTO I already have planned for 2018. I wish this had been posted a month ago.
Blue, those are some nice fish. Table Rock is a great place for the trip. We went at the beginning of May last year after a big rain and cold front. (At least that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it. ) The fish had backed out to 20 - 30 feet off of points and ledges. We caught quite a few, but nothing as large as what you caught. Just to sweeten the pot a bit for those considering going, here's some pics from our Spring trip last year.
Only 6 hours away. The wife and i will definitely try to make this one!
I'm making this one for sure. Maybe Gary and I can ride share. Only question for me is; Do I take my boat?
Is anyone checking into lodging? If so, the sooner the better. I stayed at a resort last year that was, IMO, very reasonable for the mini-suite the wife and I stayed at. We booked for a week, but I believe they had daily rates also.

If you can bring it that would be great. I will have mine and several of my buddies will too but not sure how many open seats we will have.
I'm flexible with lodging. I've stayed at Schooner Creek Resort several times and been pretty happy with it and there's a ramp right there. I would be open to any suggestions though.
Even after offering my wife a full week of vacationing in branson, and me only fishing 1 day, I still got the death stare. Dang only about 5.5 hrs away.
I didnt bother asking the wife since its 30 hours away and 2000 miles haha
Can i go if i don't have a boat?

As long as someone has an empty seat for you. Don't want anyone driving there and not having a boat for them to hop into.

There's no reason why we couldn't have one down here.
These aren't site organized like they used to be.
I thought about bringing it up a few times to gauge interest but then forgot about it.

We usually have a KC area meet up every year at a local lake, it's always a good time. You just have to set a place and date and run with it.

It'd be good to get some feedback from some of the southeast members.

What part of north Florida are you in Mike?
Jax. area.
I'll make it to one of these one day!
Just a quick update:
As of my last communication with BlueBasser, we have 20 anglers committed to the trip. We’ve narrowed down lodging to two resorts. Both have their own launch, slips, some cabins have a private dock and one resort has boat rentals and allows pets.
If you’re on the fence, or thinking about making the trip, let us know as soon as possible.
I'm ready to rock!
I’d like to make it on one of these trips. Hope you all get on em and it’s a safe and successful trip!
I mentioned earlier that I am interested, just wanted to reiterate the fact, just in case...
Unfortunately I already made plans to fish the FLW Costa tournament that weekend, maybe next year. Good luck and safe travel for all coming.
