Bass reasourse needs to make a phone app does any one know how to suggest this to bass reasourse.
Bass RESOURCE has a mobile version of the forums so having an app would not really be of any benefit.
What would you want on an app that isn't currently available viewing through the web?

x2. I am on BR all the time on my phone and the mobile version of the website is great.
I could see some sort of map app with fishing reports from members, saveable/shareable spots, uploadeable pics, etc.. being pretty nifty and useful if enough people took part.
I think you have to show some compelling evidence to make the powers that be to kill time and make an app for you.
I visit this site on my phone, works great and is very easy to navigate.

That would cost a pretty penny to create and considering this site is FREE of use thanks to the sponsors, not sure that'd be in the plan. Nice idea but probably unlikely unless they had paid membership.

These types of apps are a dime a dozen. There have been a few threads detailing some of the better ones. Navionics, for example is one MANY of are already using.
As for the site, the mobile skin works like a champ, and in many ways, I prefer it to traditional web browsing.
But instead of going on line u just have to click a icon
Why not just bookmark it? Is it really that difficult to move your finger a couple extra times.
Bookmark it and put the bookmark on your home screen.

I have been accessing BR for maybe close to a year on a iphone 5, but still find it difficult to log-in and navigate using Safari. I find that of the nine icons (Messenger, Notifications, Members, Forums, Pictures, New Content, Status Updates, Search, and Mark All As Rear) as a user I only use three or four at best (in bold red); there is no "My Content" icon, I have yet to find out how to get to "My Gallery" and/or post photo's, and at times I end up in Never-Never-Land. It would be nice if I could touch on my screen name and get the same menu as on-line; that's my only suggestion for an upgrade.
Is there a better way to access BR from my iphone? Or can someone post a tutorial on how to get to pages as we do on-line

On the IPhone and Android you can create an icon which will bring you right to the site. That will make it feel like an app

Yup exactly what i did too. You can switch back and forth from the mobile version to the full version and vice versa if needed.

I've done this on occasion, but find the full version so much effort to monkey with so I can read anything and accurately control selections, I'll wait until I can get to my laptop. To me if the laptop is a 10, the mobile version is a 7, and the full version is a 2 on the 0 to 10 scale.
I visit Bass RESOURCE from my phone. It works just fine.
if bassresource supports tapatalk which I dont know cause I dont currently own a smart phone(used too) thats what you would wanna use.
The mobile site works great on my phone but the web and mobile site just does not work on my tablet. Just does not look right and too much zooming in or sliding from side to side. I use my tablet almost as much as my phone. I really don't know how much an app would cost to make but I do like the idea of tapatalk. I hear it's very easy to setup and I use it for a couple of other forums.

In the mobile app how do you get to your "Gallery" post pictures, or your "My Content" on your phone?
when I first go to the site I get a mobile version, then I click go to full site. When uploading pictures I start a post then click "more reply options" in the bottom right corner of the text box. This lets me upload pictures. Not sure about "my content".On 6/30/2013 at 5:57 AM, Traveler2586 said:In the mobile app how do you get to your "Gallery" post pictures, or your "My Content" on your phone?
i have a galaxy s4 i dont to how to put it on my home screen
Hate to raise this zombie thread- but hey....I'm a zombie member.
Still no tapatalk for bass resource forum? Just checking as I can't seem to find one.
Nope. I use Tapatalk daily for other forums. I like BR's mobile version.
I use the mobile version of the site as well. Its pretty handy for reading and making posts. The only suggestion I have is maybe to add a button for uploading photos in the mobile version. It would make it super easy to upload photos directly from the phone.
I agree. I have been gone for a while and perused the site alot today. The mobile version is actually quite nice. The lack of a photo upload is the only thing that is a pain.
That and its really hard to find and stay with my posts because of the post volume.

If you're trying to embed the photo in a post, an easy workaround is to use a hosting site like Imgur and use BBC code. Imgur's mobile app is pretty good.
It's certainly extra effort but it does get the pictures on the website.
