I cant wait to watch!
I am not too impressed. Where are the Bomber squarebills?
My wife has gotten two fliers so far and I've yet to get one.
Personally I am really not impressed this year. A little disappointed even. No biggie. TW here I come.

Their classic sale is even worse. Total let down. The only thing happy right now is my wallet.
Yeah nothing jumps out at me, but I will take advantage on a couple items. Like a locally made braid which I used last season is on sale and will grab 3 packs. Originally was going to go for the for the buy 2 and get 1 free for BPS braid, but the cost is even basically...but I at least have confidence in using the other braid. I will take advantage of the Havoc sale and grab a couple of the arashi squarebills. Other than that, that is it...originally was going to buy a BPS Crankin stick with the rod trade in, but the price of a Sellus Crankbait rod I can buy elsewhere was too good to pass up.
always Bass Pro brand and Browning on sale. Bass Pro's sales always suck.
I think its a dud also.
i'll throw a question out there..... mine shows the curado g's on sale for $99 limit 2. do you think they will have many of these and do you think it will be limited on the gear ratio selection? i assume you'd have to be there in line for them to open in order to get one of these???

Agree with that BPS easily beats the TWs limited sale. I was easily able to find a good amount of stuff i could pull the trigger on at BPS, discounts on lures i want to use. Rod and Reel trade in as always, discount PQ reel, And dont miss that backpage, -25% of all zoom products... what a shame they dont carry Zoom WEC haha.
For a new angler I'm pretty excited about the flyer. I'm helping a buddy gear up this year, and they've got the bags, 360/370 boxes, on sale. Buy 2 get 1 on hooks, and some red eye shads that I wanted. Maybe it's the cabin fever, but I can't wait to go spend some money lol. Might even convince my wife to pick up one of the pink pfleuger presidents! the curado g is $119 here in Canada, not sure if I'm ready for a baitcaster yet tho... next year!

Hey you know about Fishing World down there in Hamilton? I believe they will price match from BPS. Show'em the flyer. They are good guys, unfortunately I can't make it out all the time out there. If I drove out there often for work like I do in the BPS area, I'd probably go down there. Anyway, they have a very good selection of rods, reels, lines and lures.

Wow thanks! I've been in there a handful of times, I'll have to ask about that next time I'm in there! Fishing World was actually the first real tackle shop I entered, It was last year, and after only purchasing stuff from the weak selection at Canadian Tire I was truly in heaven, finally got to see all the soft plastics and lures I had only ever read about on here lol.
where can i see the things on sale? thanks
Go to the Bass Pro Website -> Click on Stores -> Click on the store closest to you...there should be a link to the flyer.
Got my flyer in the mail a few days ago. I wont say that I'm disappointed, but it was underwhelming. I had hopes of getting an Abu Garcia STX or comparable reel at a sale price, but that hope was dashed. I was going to utilize the reel trade in and I may not now, but I still have $150 in BPS gift cards to spend there so I'll have to find something to satisfy the bait monkey.
Hrm I just checked for some reason the flyers aren't showing up online.
Will be picking up a Carbonlite casting rod, although I was hoping they'd be more than $10 off. I do have about $20 in rewards points so I guess that helps a bit.

Yea im having trouble too, there isn't a sale flyer or link available.
I am also one that is actually excited. The water is still frozen and spending money on things that I can't use for another month at least is something I always enjoy. I'm also going to snag one or two of those $100 Curados and go to a few seminars.

You waiting for the rod trade in? Trade in an old rod and you will get another 10 bucks off.

Your ready. Get a baitcaster and a half ounce casting plug. Spool it up. Tie the plug on. Then hit the lever. Pull about 25 to 30 yards of line out. Less if you want to. Place a piece of tape on the line all the way across the line on the spool. Reel up the line. Give it your first cast. If you backlash, the tape in place will only let the back lash go so far down into the reel. Pick out the lash and do it again. As you get more comfortable, move the tape farther down in the spool or remove it completely. This is exactly how I taught my son and now he is better with one than I am.
Where are you guys seeing the curado for $100? I found the classic sale flyer online but it dosnt show a curado. Thanks
Guys and Gals, the flyer does not include everything on sale.
You have to visit the store to view the sale prices.

Its the Curado G series. On March 15th ONLY. Limit 2 per customer. Depending on what your current store has in stock would dictate if you'll get one or not. I'd suggest showing up when doors open if you're trying to capitalize on this deal.
These reels will be found on auction sites and flea markets for less in due time. It's a great deal, but there are always better.
Well another fail for Bass Pro. I just got on the site and the flyer is down. I talked with a live assist person. It seems the site is under some construction. I can't wait for Cabela's to put their store in south Tulsa. I am just about done with Bass Pro.
I'm pretty new to fishing so dont be me up if this is a dumb question. I only have silver max's, a pq and a revo s so I'm not to familiar with anything else. What reel would be a better all around reel, the Johnny Morris on sale for $114 or the curado for $100?
Think I'm gonna finally pull the trigger on some gore tex the PQ set is gonna be $50 off each piece, went and sized up tonight.

Will they take any rod? I've looked at the flyer before and it says that the rod has to retail for $50-$75 to get the $10 off. If it's $30-$50 they'll give you $5. I haven't done it before so I am just going off the flyer. I do have some old, cheaper rods, but I don't know if they'd give me anything for them. Either way, though, the rods would be going to a good cause.
good luck with Cabelas. Ours is pretty horrible for bass fisherman. I rarely even visit mine anymore because it gets worse every year.On 2/23/2014 at 4:04 AM, gripnrip said:Well another fail for Bass Pro. I just got on the site and the flyer is down. Heads up encase some we're wondering I confirmed tonight that in store on the rod or reel trade they will do rain checks, and for all other items too. Also everything on flyer will be for sale online. Unless it's one of those daily In store specials.
I was worried when they barely had any medium gortex suits plenty for the big boys though.

They take any rod. The money you save depends on what rod you get. Like for instance. You trade in a rod. You want to buy a Falcon Cara. The rod retails for 149.99. You would get $25 off of the Cara. Their idea in this is to get kids fishing I believe. They donate all rod and reels for this purpose.
