..{Standing}: Hi, My name is Wild Bill.
I have a problem.
I am a frog-aholic.
I need help.
I mean serious help.
Not with frogging; mental help.
I got FROGGY FEVER !!!!
I cannot frog enough.....{LOL}
I HATE Winter !!!
;D ;D
Come on warm weather !!!
Anyone suffer the same ??
i think your off your froggin rocker ;D
ya winter bites, need some good ol summer slop & duckweed, ribbit ribbit
Quotei think your off your froggin rocker
Hmmm, you MUST know me ...
har, har, har !!!
Put a fork in your eye, and a new frog on your dash. By summer, both will be ready.
LOL. I feel ya, bro.
I pass the time by building custom frog rods. Problem is, I now have 3. HAHA. I need to sell them :-/
But, they are must have. I don't have no froggin' problem when I use them.
simple soulution,
go to the aquarium, and use the frog there, its a little redneck, but it works!
Find a buddy with a hot tub. Toss in a few frisbees and hockus pokus instant pad field. Get to pitchin!!
Just make sure you toss back the Brown Bass, they taste like @#^T
Good to know there are plenty of others out there that go nuts over froggin'. I will have my Toads and Frogs ready to go by the middle of Feb and wash the winter off them in Lake Toho.

One of my buddies has a "bass tub" business, going to trade expos all overwitha 4000 gallon fish tank. He used to work the NYBoat Show in Manhattan, at which I also worked there, but in a different booth.
He let me stick ONE fish in the tank there once, and dang, in the middle of New Years week when that show was running, when our waters are typically frozen, it fealt GREAT !!
A. Move south.
B. Create some of your own designs of frogs over the hard water months and test them out in the summer. (some old frogs to both customize and melt plastic in microwave if you create your own mold out of plaster of paris, a sissors and a lighter is all you need).
C. Develop a love of jigging spoons... at least these work 12 months of the year if you live in the frozen north.

Done that already. They're sold nationally by a major firm in many retailers .[not gonna name brand]
The American Cancer Society gets a check every year from a portion of the sales to fund breast cancer research, and I get a great feeling I have done something that may help to lead to the cure. I make NO money at all on them, nor do I work for that company.
They were designed while my wife was battling Cancer 7 years ago, and I was home on a work sabbatical to nurse her back to health. She had been on the surgical table for over twelve hours in one day , with three surgical sites. Thank God, she has survived , and now she does volunteer counselling to women facing surgery for it .
If the proceeds ultimately save even one woman from going through the physical and emotional hell my wife went through, I'll be a happy man.
If those donations help to lead to the cure; I'll be thrilled and ecstatic.
Pray for the cure in our lifetimes, please.
Ya, I'm dying for the sun, some fresh air and a warm breeze....not to mention a 4lbs + bass breaking the water to hit my frog!
I am also going insane!
Hi, its good to see all you guys here tonight, my name is Aaron, and I'm a Frog-A-Holic also. I have been trying to quit the frog for a long time now, but the urge never subsides and is always present. Sometimes, I find myself dreaming of top water explosions on frogs. On occasion, right when i wake up in the morning, a split second before i blink, i see lilly pads on my bedroom floor with bass swimming under them. I swear they are real, but they always dissapear when i blink. Anyways, I just wanted introduce myself and say that its nice to know I'm not alone out here, and that there are others who share my problems. :D
Cool...
Gald to see I am not the only one. {LOL}
My wife and daughter think I am Frogging Crazy.
All the birthday cards, Father's Day cards, and many gifts they give me now has a frog somehow in it, including my daughter gave me BullFrog sunscreeen to use.
I bet a bunch of you have even caught big frogs on your frog lures, too, because they are indeed canabalistic, eating other frogs.
I love the Stanley floating frog. Stop, crawl, sputter, pop, buzz, twitch, you name it you can do it.
No I don't work or get paid by them in anyway.
The stanley ribbit is my favorite as well...outfishes all other soft plastic frogs in my opinion...
and no I am not a frog-a-holic...not yet at least :-?

i think you should tell us the brand, people would buy them knowing that the money is going to fund cancer research.
I didn't know Dean Rojas was a member. Welcome Mr. Rojas.
Nope, that's not me.
Another brand...
reading this post has helped me identify my addiction. My name is Rich... and I'm an addict.

I hear you, but I THINK that would be against forum rules to do so here, as they are not a sponsor here.
I will PM you the name of it.
I like Snag Proof Frogs. Especially in Wild Bull, LOL.
Well, John Francho [post above] just let "the frog out of the bag" so to say.
Quotereading this post has helped me identify my addiction. My name is Rich... and I'm an addict.
..............
Rich,
Admitting to the problem is the first step {LMAO}.
Getting a good frog rod, and a good frog is the next step.
Finding a good, weedy location in hot weather is the next step.
Learning NOT to pull the froggy away on the blow-up from the Bass, before it has closed it's mouth on your lure, is the final one.
All too often, I see guys pulling the frog back before the fish has closed it's mouth on the bait, resulting in the frog coming flying right back at you; in what I call, "Premature ejerkulation".
Har, har, har !!
Been fishing them since 1969.....and there's just no help in curing me from "froggy fever", and I don't want there to be.
I will add BBs or some glass worm rattles into the torso of the frogs [through the rear hook hole] to get them to make even more noise as the are worked.
Slather the torso up in Megastrike then, squirting some into the rear hook hole, as well. None on the legs strands, though.
That will help the frog slid over Lily Pads, and help to have the fish hold the boat longer, giving you a slight bit more time so you give a strong, powerful hookset.
Cross thier eyes with that hookset, and get them up and out of that slop as fast as possible before they ball you up in the weeds/slop.
Fish them on braid.
Hope this helps you all..
HelloBill !
Do you try somesthings new on frog for the next season ?

Wowser! I finally found out what has ailed me all these years and I ain't alone! I've been throwing a Lane's floating toad in the family room for two weeks. If February doesn't move fast, I'm a goner. What's everybody think of the Panther Martin's Big Eyed PRO Frog? I picked some up and tried them a time or two late last year. Sure seem to sit good in the water, but the frog eaters weren't cooperating. Too late in the year I think. I'll try them some more this year for sure! Come on spring!!!!!!!!!!!!
anyone else try one of these http://floridakayakfishing.com/ ? my gf just bought me one for christmas a local guy makes them im waiting for the water to warm up a bit to catch something on them.

Ain't that something ! I knew you guys had some snow flurries, but nothing like a real winter. : ;D
Take heart today is the beginning of the third quarter of winter. The first half, and half time is over. We have a long way to go, but at least from here out we can fight our way OUT of winter, instead of in to it.
I know my neighbors think I am nuts. After I finished the last frog rod, I took it out and played with it in the yard. I have a sidelot that I own nex to me, so I can make 75 yard casts. They literally stand in their garage and watch me throwing it around.

You mean the ones you posted up in the tackle and marketplace that got taken down? ;D Post them back up on here man

I'm with ya. I start in March with 3-4 foot snow banks, and a foot or so of snow on the ground. I sure can skip a lure a long way on the ice covered drive way. The folks around here just shake their heads as they drive by.
Heck bass fishermen are all nuts anyway.
During these cold winter months, especially after the groundhog has seen his shadow, I put little harnesses on my frogs and parade them around the den in front of the fireplace and that way I can tell which will do well when the weeds start to grow.
