Just wondering what hooks do all of you guys and ladies fisherman out there i would also like pros and fishing company to vote for these polls i doing this poll because i found out on the Lazer trokar website that they have a trokar elite assortment kit of 50 hooks and when i ask trokar what it retail they told me $79.99 i still think should i buy it or stick with my other good companies help me ?http://www.tackletour.com/reviewicast10trokar.html
I've used Gamakatsu hooks for a few years, and I've had zero problems. I've looked at the Trokar hooks, and find it very difficult to pay three times as much as my Gammies.

O. Mustad & Son A.S. is the world's leading manufacturer of fish hooks
Stick with owner or gammies.
Owners and Gammy's for me. Although, several of the jigs I use have Mustad hooks in them and they have held up very well.
I use different hooks from different manufactures that work best for me. Say treble hooks for example? Cranks or topwater that are on lighter line I use Daiichi death traps. Now heavy line or larger baits nothing beats Owners. I admit to buying a lot of expensive baits and tackle but those Trokar hooks aren't worth what they are charging.

I just received new Mop jigs from GMAN with 5/0 TroKar
Hooks. These are the sharpest hooks I have ever seen.
Amazing!

I've been messing around with those Trokars and I have to say I have never seen a sharper hook. The weight of a 3/4 oz jig put that hook point into the side of my thumb by weight alone. I have fished X points(one of the best), Owner, Gamies, Mustad, and others. There are alot of great hooks on the market and most will do what we expect. There are pros and cons with each hook imo. You have to search for what fits your style the best.
I generally dont rip on companies, but I will not waste $ on those BPS XPS hooks again. :-X
You forgot to add a category: Other
I have started using H2O hooks, by academy sports. They are just as sharp as the others and just as strong.

+1
I've used Gammy hooks for more than a few years though.
owner hooks are by far the best hooks , with the cutting points , no one comes close ....
I fish all different brands of hooks, I prefer Gammies or Owners but I also fish some BPS hooks, Mustad, and Hookerz Tackle. For the price, the Hookerz hooks are wonderful, I really like them and will be making other orders. I chose Owner because of the Mosquito hooks and Stinger trebles.
There is nothing better then my gammies!

I really like what Hookerz has going too. I didn't expect that kind of quality for such a good price.
I chose Owners. Super sharp and extra strong.
Depends on the actual hook. Owners for the most part. I also like VMC trebles, when I can't find Stingers. The Gamakatsu Split Shot/Drop Shot hooks in #1 are the best I've found for this. So are their Wide Gap Finess in 1/0 for Senkos.
Trokars are made by Eagle Claw. Owners are my favorite, I used Gamakatsus until the points started bending too often.
I would have voted other, because I've been spending the money on Owners, but for almost half the price, the Moaners are a much better value, and great quality. Exactly what I need to feed my need. Gammy and Mustad are good, too.

I doubt it. They may be marketed under the same umbrella,
but I suspect they are manufactured independently.

I knew better than to click on this thread. ;D
gamakatsu and owners for me. i like VMC's trebles so i voted for them too.
I prefer Owners. Gamakatsu comes in a close second though.

Right on. They suck eggs through a straw.
Mustad, Gamakatsu and Owner, I like the owner "J" hook in 1/0 and 5/0 almost all my specialized hooks are owner like weed less wacky, sled head, shakey head, I like Gamakatu EWG in 2/0 3/0 superline 4/0 Superline and 5/0 and mustad 37177 in 2/0 to4/0 those are little bit larger from the point to the eye and give more space for short strikes!

I've been using Gamakatsu octopus circle hooks, and love them. I also have been experimenting with BOSS shakey heads, which have mustads on them, and I think the hooks are pretty darn sharp. I may experiment with Owner since so many of you seem to love them.
Owners. They come sharp, and stay sharp, fish after fish after fish.
Owner, Gammy, then Mustad
From perch jerking to Billfishing, O. Mustad & Son dwarfs the competition
I use the Gammy' and owner but have been trying the Mustad's lately and have been very happy with the results.
When changing out crankbait treble hooks I usually go with the Mustad Ultrapoints.
I like the Mustad weedless as they eye is larger than the Gammy's and they don't rust like the Eagle Claws.
Edited. Wrong info.
I like my Gammy's too but when budget tight 25 pack of BPS is good for me just wish had a bigger selection on size and types other than worm hooks from BPS at my store. I use VMC's but I'm at BPS more than Gander Mountain. Now I'm trying out the Stand Out hooks for drop shots which had several hits on yesterday but nothing tried to take or miss the hits while I was working my other setups.
I'm not sure that Lazer TroKar and Lazer Sharp are one in the same. Nowhere on the Eagle Claw site can you find TroKar hooks. Who knows, maybe they are.

Normally if I buy hooks and do not like them I just use them in places where I lose a lot of baits until they are gone. These were so bad I just threw them in the trash.

Yep, Eagle Claw is the parent company, just like Pure Fishing (the make pflueger and abu garcia, trilene and stren, all star and fenwick and ugly stick). Just because the Lazer Trokar hooks are owned by Eagle Claw doesn't mean that the hook is anything like an Eagle Claw branded hook.
I like Gamakatsu and Mustad. But I will say I have been using the Trokar flipping hooks for a while now and I am sold on them.
Between Gamakatsu, Owner, and Mustad they cover almost everything you'd ever want. Sure the Lazer trokar hooks come out of the box a little sharper, but in my experience they don't stay that way.
IMO it comes down to quality/price. Once you have a certain level of sharpness, you really don't need anymore. Then it becomes more about the hooks STAYING sharp, and the VALUE. I only use premium hooks but I shop around and only pay 30-40 cents per hook--sometimes less. Owner cutting point, Daiichi X-point, and even Gammys all provide the right level of quality/price when you shop around properly. 8-)
another vote for owner and gamakatsu. mustads are a good value, i like them on jigs.
Gammies all the way!
i thought trokar was going to be first because everyone on the trokar facebook says they love the trokar hook better then other hooks but by seeing the score for right now gamakatsu and owner then mustad wow didn't see that come everyone keep voting and i think i just may be stay with my same hooks but i recently did email scott martin on his website and he said he loves the trokar hooks, and what i have seen is that everyone is having mixes feeling or just don't want to pay the price for them . what is your comments on this view ?
I just flat out ain't paying for Trokars.
I can't anything wrong with my Owner cutting points. Those hooks are as sharp as you will ever need and they stay that way through several fish.
